    Poker really died after black friday. Those early 2000s craze won’t be repeated again. Bots are too good now. It really was the golden age. Feeling rather nostalgic watching this.

    Question: once the rumors about postle’s cheating spread around then why did the other players continue to play with him????? Would it not have been wiser for the other players to leave the game in order to limit their future losses????? Once I ever suspect cheating or collusion at a poker table I immediately get up and leave. A word to the wise.

    For someone looking more from afar, one of the critical issues appeared to be the quality of the people who were given the keys to the kingdom, meaning the scumbag gambler poker players. The powers-that-be put a lot of faith into star players, who unfortunately, are made up largely of older school hustlers and people who just weren't high quality overall. And rather than focus on what the poker boom is doing for the game, they decided to make it about what they can personally extract out of the situation with no regard to the progress of poker.

    • @southbeachtalent
      @southbeachtalent 11 месяцев назад

      Completely agree. They wanted to make superstars out of these players, and it always felt awkward. The full tilt/ pokerstars commercials were they were all dripped out was just confusing. Why anyone would aspire to be like these lowlifes was beyond me. For a funny take on the life of cardplayers, watch the skit on the GTA 4 video game

    Whether or not Postle was cheating, there is a simple solution: phones MUST be on rail or OFF. If you are on your phone in any fashion and the screen is not visible to the whole table, your hand is DEAD - no arguments. You also have to eliminate headphones for the same reason.

      nobody is a poker pro, everyone plays the same strategies, if you win a huge tournament especially televised, then you some how earn that rank of a "poker pro" how can you be a pro when everybody plays the same,
      poker used to be fun, but the last 10 years, it's mental abuse , you have players that are rude, treat people like shyt, name calling, *donk* they call you these names, becasue you don't play the way they expect you to play, like i said, "everyone plays the same way" when it comes down to it, it's all about who gets the luck of the cards and the way they fall.
