Oh… I get it now! LOL. He took the Aquaman roll out of pure spite! LOL. He must’ve thought… If I can’t take the costume, I’ll take the word Atlantis instead! LOL.
It was nice to see more talk about Ronon, but it would be nice also to do an interview with Jason himself on his character and Stargate Experience, because this would be one of the coolest interview.
Sadly I doubt we will ever see an interview with the top cast especially someone like Jason, Amanda T, RDA, Michael S., Or Christopher J. Think these actors are just too busy and probably looking for $$ and popularity...
Ronon is a big part of my life. Sounds stupid i know. But it helped me soo much in my life.... even got a tatoo on my wrist, the one he has on his neck in the show... The stuff that stuck to my head to this day is his line where he said "i dont worry about things i cant change anyway" i live to this to this day! :)
He's too much of a big star now, he's untouchable. Once an actor moves from TV and moves to successful movies, they are big stars who are a much bigger deal. So I doubt it.
@@5226-p1e shame, as shown here he clearly loved his role so I do hope it happens if we keep growing. Then there is the OG SG1 crew, hope they do appear, I know Christoper Judge was supposed to show but had to bow out for some reason and our lovely Tony Amendola stepped in
I often “cast” actors into roles mentally when I read (or write). Its great as a writer because you have a known visual model, and as a reader because you create your own mind movie as you read. One of the odd things for me was that when I read Game if Thrones years before the TV series was made, I mentally cast Jason as Khal Drogo in my mind. It was who George R.R. Martin’s description brought to mind. Then to see them them actually cast Jason in that was immensely satisfying for me. It made Season 1 seem so much like the book.
Of course Momoa wanted to bring a bit of Ronan in, he plays the same guy looking the same way in every film! I liked R.R he was a cool cucumber! Nice to hear a custume designer, talk they are so important to make it all believable.
I remember the pins from the very first episode you would notice them before they went through the Stargate for the first time on the vest right near the radio button
Hate to be the one who pops some bubbles here.... But it was Jason Momoa's looks and build on Conan that had more to do with influencing hiring/looks of GoT. Not dismissing SG-A or Ronan. I thought that he had the most natural and distinct looks on the entire show. And yes, as both an actor AND designer, there is a TON of stuff with Ronan to be extremely proud about, considering his look was one of the most DOMINATE looks in regards the show overall. But to think that SG-A has a big influence on GoT's hiring or look for a character/actor is a bit of a stretch when you consider that just before filming GoT, Jason was doing Conan which is FAR closer in look and design to Kal Drago than ANYTHING on SG-A would have ever been.
This explains why a space-based race like the Travelers were in leather rather than a more logical material. Their costumes never made sense to me. It is one thing for a people who are planet bound and kept at a certain level of development by the Wraith. But a spaced based race doesn't have that limitation. Just a bad creative decision in my opinion.
Not really, they might have lived on ships they scavenged, but their trade was likely planet side, nearly all material, food and other supplies were bought or traded with fairly primative people, so they're limited to the clothing/fabric they can purchase there, the same as real travelers.
@@karl810 I don't agree with you. There were some cultures in earlier seasons who had cloth based clothing. That was before this Lady started on SGA though. Leather doesn't make sense in a space ship to me except maybe for outerwear. I guess we will just have to agree to disagree.
@@robertdendooven7258 leather or fabric, you need some kind of animal or crop, they were in space as thats where they felt safe from the wraith, but they were still scavenged ships barely held together. they did make a colony that got destroyed so it seems like a temporary or unwanted situation with every other aspect of their lives no different to the other races we see. Leather in space wouldn't make sense for US at our level of development, or any futurist society, but for a primitive culture who still trade with people who have thousands of animal carcasses, leather makes far more sense. Plus for the same reason we used it for so long, its tough and durable especially when fighting and far better than its synthetic counterparts even now.

I'm sorry, he seems like a nice fellow, but his acting in Atlantis was just horrible. Now, Ronon was written so poorly and thoughtlessly that I'd normally give Momoa some leeway for his acting work, but he was just that bad. Look, I watch all 3 TV series every year - I'm a fan. I could be wrong. But the odds are against it.
Especially with the issues going on with AH, I assume he will avoid as much public comment as possible.
For me Ronon still is a better character then Kal drogo.
