I just did this a month ago. Mind you my pantry is just a small cabinet but man does it feel good to organize. I find it relaxing. You have to organize a pantry in a way that works for you. There is no one way to organize a pantry. I rotate by canned goods according to expiration dates. Your pantry looks great!!
Good job on your reorganization! You could put the abundance of chocolate chip bags in a bin for your food storage room. Just keep 2 bags in that closet till you bake and replenish when you need more. Also you can start saving glass jars and lids from products you use - like pickles, pasta sauce to use for decanting some of the boxed items you currently have on the shelves. Dollar tree also has clear bins in rectangle shapes to separate your apple sauce, granola bars and other snacks in separate bins. Nuts can be kept in the freezer door to prevent them from getting rancid. I would also add Command hooks on the side wall for each of the cords to hang.
Looks great! Doesn't need to be super pinterest-y just organised. I would get a can rotator then they will stack nicely and not fall over when you grab a can, trays or boxes with low fronts to keep the like items together and prevent shelf migration, lazy Susan's for jars, condiments etc. Low front make it easy to see and grab. Lazy Susan's make it easy to grab without knocking everything and moving stuff to find it.check the container store for ideas.
Fantastic Job, my OCD issue is way lower now, LOL. Hope you like your pantry closet better and that the little rearranging helps you gain more time, less expense buying duplicate items and more serenity not having to dig around looking for an item you know you have in the closet. As far as grouping the food items, I think you got the idea about grouping. I use a couple of strategies: 1) Purposes eg: baking items like flours, sugars, chocolate chips, nuts, flavorings, salts, etc. Also, I keep my mixing bowls next to the baking items to grab and fill with items I'm going to use when baking that day 2) I breakdown canned goods by Vegs, Fruits, Meats, Sauces, etc. *told you I had OCD 3) Snack... this has some duplications like nuts, dried fruit, sesame sticks, nut butters, crackers, little bags of chip items, kid drinks, fruit pouches, etc. I, also, keep a couple of Dollar Store Cedar Blocks on the shelves were my flours, grains, dehydrated potatoes are kept. Bugs don't like the Cedar Wood smell. I do keep my rices and oat meal close to the flours, because they can be ground into rice flour and oat flour at the Flick of a Ninja Blender button, plus I will use less Cedar Blocks protecting the flours & grains from bugs. Again, GREAT JOB teaching your followers some good thoughts and ideas. 😊
To keep bugs away, get some food grade diatomaceous earth. Then with my flours/oatmeal I put Bay leaves inside. I abhore bugs or moving critters of that kind.
Nice job! We got the three tiered shelf risers from Walmart and have our canned corn on one, green beans on one, kidney beans on one shelf. Baking stuff we put in a cupboard by the stove. Small baskets are for spices. We put flour in freezer. In corner cabinet, we have oils, cake mixes, brown sugar in a basket, sugar, etc. It has made a huge difference and I go through it about once a month to get stuff that needs used up. We keep a small place on the counter for things needing used up and it really helps.
Just found you today. Love your energy. Really think your channel should be “Frugal, Fit, Fun Mom”! I wish I could have all those bags! Very generous to give your unused food away. I have had the same problem in the past with things I just don’t think I will use. I just found out that we have a nearby food pantry. I just keep a running pile of things I find for very little money at discount stores, etc. and donate it when I get a bag full. They are so appreciative. They actually told me they prefer that over money because I am finding great deals for the money. 😃
Sort it out like a market! Electrical together; breads, crackers pasta; BAKING supplies; Salad ingredients; Water, soda health drinks; small seasoning and herbs in your kitchen drawer next to oven coffee, tea creamers section love ila Foil, baggie in pantry keep your sugar in original bags and put in a storage container cleaning supplies on upper shelves
I would place Chocolate Bits with the COOKING items, nuts with snacks or baking shelf depending on how you use them most often. Mine are stored with my snack items though I do use them in some baked items.
Canned foods: try to put “like” things together, (so you know how much you have of each thing at a glance!!!!) like canned soups, canned veggies, canned meats, canned beans, jarred tomato sauces, salsas, sauces, pasta, condiments, etc.
Looks great! I have a white food grade bucket with gamma seal lids and they fit nicely under my bottom shelf in my pantry. I keep all my baking chips (chocolate, white chocolate, peanut butter, butterscotch, peppermint) in that. It’s full lol and out of the eyes of my kids lol. I also have one that just holds the brown sugar and powder bags because I stock up on those when on sale and they slip and slide all over my pantry shelves.
Looks great, if the choc chips are too easily accessible I’d just move them to directly above the baking shelf... it’s a good feeling when you get stuff ordered 🙂 xXx
Looks great, since there is space between the doors and the shelves, you should get a couple of CLEAR hanging shoe racks. It will help with packages like seasoning pkgs. It is space unused.
You’re so fortunate to have such a huge pantry with so much space! So beautiful. My kitchen “pantry” is basically two sets of upper kitchen cabinet cupboards for all of my canned & dry goods, and that’s it. ((Right now the upper set is home to MANY moths that I still need to evict!! Please don’t judge me!!)) We come home from work late at night & a few ALWAYS sneak in the front door as we try to come inside the house. It’s unadvoidable, even with a yellow bug light on the porch at the front door.)) I try to keep them OUT of my dry goods with glass jars, plastic closeable-sealing bags, & plasticware with tight-sealing plastic lids. But it’s still a constant battle. 🙄😱🦋🐛 (Plus a skinny 1/2 wide one, basically 3 shelves tall, only!) that I use for my baking (foods) supplies, cookie cutters, baking sprinkles, & Ziplock baggies boxes.) My aluminum foil, saran “cling” wrap, wax paper, and parchment paper (boxes) I put on top, ABOVE the top of my my cabinets. (I think I’m in the only one in the house that can reach them, on tippy toes.)
My pantry is slightly smaller but is always organized. I get made fun of by my family because I reorganize it every week. As new foods come in, I have to stay on top of it. It keeps me sane and lowers my grocery budget knowing what I have. Feeding a family of 9 isn’t cheap! 😊
Hi. That was fun. Amy maryon is organizing once a week. She is also decluttering at the same time.started in kitchen did all drawers cabinets . too. This is first time to your channel. Enjoy your energy. Thanks Jennie
What I do with the charger cords is to label each one with its owner & item. When you have 6 people in the home, it’s much easier to identify. I also have a clear container for each person, so there is less mess & it’s easier to go right to the appropriate cord.
Love your merry Christmas pants! The pantry definitely looks better and more organized - congratulations on conquering it. I am overly organizational so I AM that annoying person 😁 who would drive most people crazy. When hubby washes a few pots and pans I have him leave them on the counter when dry so can put them back exactly as I want them. Yep - crazy old lady! I reorganize my linen closet section of OTC drugs, etc. every January and throw away anything expired. Have a wonderful week.
It looks amazing! I am on a mission in my kitchen to eliminate all of the small appliances in favor of appliances that do many things. My Instant is a slow cooker (as well as 7 other things) - so my crock pots went to the charity! I'm going to purchase a 7-in-1 oven that toasts, air fries, dehydrates, etc. After it gets here, all of my 'uni-taskers' will go to the charity! It feels GOOD reducing all of the clutter!
If you use the nuts ONLY for baking, then put them with the baking supplies, (flour, granulated sugar, brown sugar, etc), but make sure they are in airtight containers, because their natural occurring oils in them go rancid overtime. (They are actually best if kept in the freezer!) But if you use them for snacking, you can put them with the snacking stuff, because they are more quickly used up there. (You could put SOME with the baking ingredients and SOME with snacking stuff, or breakfast cereals, as well.). ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS in AIRTIGHT containers!! Air makes their oils go rancid MUCH faster than you’d think!! 😲😱🤯😫😩 But remember, nuts are basically a protein, so you could also store them near your other proteins. (Canned tuna, canned chicken, beef jerky, etc.)
The instant pot turn the lid inward and it would fit. Also contrary to popular belief those plastic bags don’t actually get recycled bc thin plastic is non recyclable.
@@donnanorris2939 I never even thought about that until now to be honest. Our pumpkin cookie recipe calls for half a bag of butterscotch bits, we just make a double batch and use the whole bag instead.
I think you did a great job! It looked great to me. You can go off what someone tells you to do but really you have to put things where it makes sense to you or it will never stay looking like this
I'm short, so my closets with tall shelves all have collapsible stools (Marshalls/TJMaxx always has them) they fold up super skinny. It helps my kids reach for things too. I find that I put stuff away or use more things if I don't have to go hunt down a stool.
This is hilarious. I cleaned my pantry over 2 days last week. I found chocolate chips in 3 places and 2 open bags. I can't count how many bags, but over a dozen! I put them in an old godiva gift bag so I know what's there, but they can't be seen. I just kept getting some for holiday baking and then worked all the holidays and traveled in January. I was so, so busy. Here it is Feb and I haven't made one thing with those, not one! I think I'll make the puppy chow and take it to work for a treat for everybody. I'm going to need ideas! No idea what I was thinking getting those? I guess if they aren't opened I have awhile, maybe use 2 bags a month? Omg.
I am so jelly!! Lived in or clean I love your pantry! 🤣 my current house does not have one at all and I have to use my cupboards at the pantry it is terrible! I think you did a great job P.s. I’m totally asking for a Bosh mixer this year for Christmas/birthday gift! I always thought something was wrong with my kitchenaid because it can’t handle some of the stuff I mix in it. I think I just need a bigger better mixer 😂.
Love. Mine pantry are plastic containers and ziplock bags since the are too high in the kitchen and I trouble with heights and balance issues. The next year I am going to rearrange and organize better.... my goal....
Great job. I love that space. BUT, one thing that stands out to me is the title of your channel and the number of bags of chocolate chips that you have. Maybe you should start a chocolate chips annonamous. Funny thing about the plastic bags. Once I decided to check a closet close to my front door and kitchen; it was full from bottom to top with that kind of grocery bags.
A temporary fix for the chocolate chips is to lay a cute hand towel over the top. I'm a little concerned about your stacked canned goods falling on the kids' heads. I would get a container for them if you want to keep them high. Deep drawers work great for canned goods too.
You did such an awesome job! And I love that you are giving away food that you just won’t eat. So many people just toss it. But mostly, you collection of chocolate chips made me giggle. I keep mine in the freezer. Less tempting!
Oh also, youtuber Jen Chapin mentioned that some subscribers of hers had mentioned they become unsubscribed somehow over the course of the new formatting. I was unsubbed from a few of the channels I follow when I went to look. Maybe mention on an upcoming video for your followers to double check as well!
Oddly enough this video saved me this morning lol! I have so much to do today but can't start until my kid is up, ready, and on the bus. And I thought, ugh I'm so bored. I so wish there was a new Frugal Fit Mom vlogmas video I could watch to pass the time! Thank you Christine! You and your ridiculous numerous amount of chocolate chips saved my morning!
Looks great! I recently organized my pantry too. I went to the thrift store and got a bunch of baskets to put like items together. Pastas and noodles. Tomato sauces. Canned soups etc. My next project to organize is the family room. Toy/game organization, movies (yes- we still watch DVDs lol) thinking of putting all of those in those CD album things. And so many books. Oy.
You should do minimal moms method, pull everything out and instead of finding the things you dont want or need, take only the things you do use and need and everything else goes in a box for a few months, if you dont open the box donate the stuff. Also minimize first before trying to organize, you cant just reorganize chaos it's easier to downsize then organize the small amount left a
I'm not really sure she consumes coffee.. In her Marie Kondo cleaning video, we see that her Scripture covers say 'Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints'. And yes her pantry looks really nice!
As you started putting those chocolate chips in the red basket I thought ‘they will never all fit!’ But kudos to you, because they did! Lol!!! Your chocolate chip stash comments always make me smile 😊
I had to look up the Anasazi beans because I have never seen them before in any of my stores. They are so pretty but I was wondering about the taste and how you fix them?
Love your vids they always motivate and make me smile. Glad to see someone is far worse about chocolate chip hoarding than me, lol. PS -- Have you tried Hersheys sugar free chocolate chips? They are amazing! - no 'fake sugar' taste and work great in any recipe that calls for ch. chips. I've only been able to find them at Walmart in my area.
Lol so I love how the chocolate chips went from being on the top shelf, out of reach of the kids to THE most visible place in the entire pantry... next to the kids' allowance jars. 😂😂😂
I found your channel last week and subscribed immediately! I downloaded all the apps you reccomended with your codes. I LOVE your channel and your personality. I have been motivated and been cleaning and baking all week. I cannot believe how many points I got from those apps. I put in all my receipts from the past several weeks and was able to redeem Amazon gift cards. Thanks for being such an inspiration! So glad I found your channel. I entered your giveaway. I hope I win. Happy Holidays from my family to yours!!❤🙏
Looks good ... oh how I love a good pantry tidy up video❤️ I wouldn’t worry too much about following anyone’s instructions I find everyone’s organization depends on their own lifestyle .. family etc.. just do what works for you😊👍🏻 job well done!!
Organizing we're it makes sense to you the user is best. Keeping likes together and double checking expiration dates. I just did that and threw out a shameful amount because of that. Great job!
I store my nuts in the freezer! They stay fresh much longer. Maybe you could get some plastic bins to help organize the nuts if you want them out, and a can organizer for the cans? It looks great though! It’s a constant battle 🤪 Edit** I love the clear plastic containers because it helps protect food from bugs (I live in The Deep South, so we have lots of bugs!)
Put the Chocolate Chips in a xlg cannister that is not clear or in freezer -Mason jars/ glass containers work so well:; You may need to really think do I use these appliances , do I need 2 waffle makers'several crock & Insta pots, etc" downsizing may be good plan. Looks good 😉🇨🇦❗

I like the real organization pantry video. It definitely is real. Those cereal containers are expensive and more work.
It looks great, it’s surprising how much room/space we have after organizing. It’s very rewarding.
Looks great! Doesn't need to be super pinterest-y just organised. I would get a can rotator then they will stack nicely and not fall over when you grab a can, trays or boxes with low fronts to keep the like items together and prevent shelf migration, lazy Susan's for jars, condiments etc.

Nuts go into the assylum... or the freezer depending on the variety.
Hey that hurt I've been in the nut house before! Just kidding I've been there but it didn't hurt! Nothing wrong with getting help when you need it!!
Lucy Pumkinjack LOL!!!! 👍❤️❤️❤️❤️😳 😆😂🤣😝😜🤪
Just found you today. Love your energy. Really think your channel should be “Frugal, Fit, Fun Mom”!

Love this pantry video. JoAnn Fabrics sells these really cute boxes with lids. Perfect for concealed storage of chocolate chips
Dollar store, thrift store, or boxes Sams save your money
I like that you took her suggestions as instructions. Great job!
Love it! Great job. I would get a bigger/ deeper plastic basket for the choc chips and put them up high. They will disappear before your eyes!
You can store your chocolate chips in the crock pot. The nuts could be with the snack items.
Sort it out like a market! Electrical together; breads, crackers pasta; BAKING supplies; Salad ingredients;
Water, soda health drinks; small seasoning and herbs in your kitchen drawer next to oven coffee, tea creamers section love ila
Foil, baggie in pantry keep your sugar in original bags and put in a storage container cleaning supplies on upper shelves
I love those OXO containers with white lids and suction. They work great for dry ingredients.
Yay!!! I was one of the ones who (jokingly) gave you a hard time. Great job!!!
Bet you felt like a million dollars the first few time you reopened those doors! Tfs 💕
I would place Chocolate Bits with the COOKING items, nuts with snacks or baking shelf depending on how you use them most often. Mine are stored with my snack items though I do use them in some baked items.
Jilly Girl “booking?!” 📚📙📚
Put candy/chocolate in an empty vegs bag in the freezer, children will never search there ;)
Haha. I put it in a large container of peanuts. My kids don't eat peanuts unless I make a trail mix.
Keep your choc chips on the top shelf if thats best for you it's not her pantry.
I love this!
Lol 🤣 I actually do the same thing.
When you told Alexa to play YoungBlood, my Alexa played it. 😂
LOL!
I swear I am envious of your organization. Excellent job!
Im soo jealous of your pantry! All the pantries Ive ever had was a super small closet. Your pantry looks great now!
Canned foods: try to put “like” things together, (so you know how much you have of each thing at a glance!!!!) like canned soups, canned veggies, canned meats, canned beans, jarred tomato sauces, salsas, sauces, pasta, condiments, etc.
So lucky to have a large pantry. You should organize it the way it works for you! Looks great!
It looks great!! Now you can bring stuff up from your stockpile and fill the shelves!
Great job!! Way to stick with it - looks terrific AND you didn't feel the need to buy containers...just used what you had! Love it!
Looks great! I have a white food grade bucket with gamma seal lids and they fit nicely under my bottom shelf in my pantry. I’d put the chocolate chips in a canister. I keep my nuts in the freezer so they don’t go rancid. Your pantry looks great!
Blended with Madonna Gagnon yes all my nuts go into the freezer too.
I’ve never had them get soggy, not dried nuts. They go straight from the freezer to the recipe..

That intro was gold!! totally relatable, I feel like this is how my days go by 😂
Pantry looks great! 👏 You have convinced me to clean up my pantry too. P. S. I put all my nuts in the freezer.
I wish I could leave two likes for playing Youngblood
This video makes me so happy! (Except I'd love your cords in a box). I watched your pantry tour and it worried me!

Great job. I am very envious of your chocolate chip stash. I mean if you need to hoard something it most definitely should be chocolate chips.
You very clearly need more chocolate chips, since you don't have nearly as much whatsoever!
Irena The Ginger LOL!!
Have you ever noticed that there is no such thing as recipes for “leftover chocolate“?
@@donnanorris2939 I never even thought about that until now to be honest. Our pumpkin cookie recipe calls for half a bag of butterscotch bits, we just make a double batch and use the whole bag instead.

Love it; perfectly time I need to organize my pantry and kitchen. And maybe put all the appliances together. Maybe!
Ugh now I should do mine... fridge and deep freeze too 😭
I think I counted 24 bags of chocolate chips ;) You should "protect" them from kids by storing them on griddle on top shelf ;0
^This
Looks great! You'll appreciate the organization especially when things get busy!

I keep nuts and chocolate chips in the freezer. They keep very well that way.
I think you did awesome.😊 Being in Texas we have to put our chocolate chips in the freezer as well as nuts. Looks great💕
GREAT JOB! It’s sooooomuch easier to find stuff too!
I say put those chocolate chips back up on the top shelf. You know your kids.
"I don't have a problem!"

Oy.
Jennifer Speers LOL!!
You should do minimal moms method, pull everything out and instead of finding the things you dont want or need, take only the things you do use and need and everything else goes in a box for a few months, if you dont open the box donate the stuff. Also minimize first before trying to organize, you cant just reorganize chaos it's easier to downsize then organize the small amount left a
I wish I had a pantry. My kitchen is severely lacking in counter space and cabinets. Allowance jars?
Now I need to organize my pantry
Looks great but those chocolate chips would definitely have to go up at least one more shelf at my house🤣🤣
All that with no caffeine whew I'm tired after watching you. I'm very jealous of your pantry looks wonderful.
lori lafler There is (naturally occurring) caffeine in chocolate!! 😳🙄😲😱🍫🍫🍫🍫🍪🍪🍪🍪☕️☕️☕️☕️🥤🥤🥤🥤
Yay! Recycle those bags. 🤗
I had to look up the Anasazi beans because I have never seen them before in any of my stores. They are so pretty but I was wondering about the taste and how you fix them?
Some foods, when possible, I like to put in alphabetical order. (Like my herbs and spices.)
Good lord you are adorable, I just love your personality!
It looks great! I might swap the nuts and the chocolate chips. The CC can be up on that higher shelf if you want to keep the kids out of them. LOL!
The bag full of bags 😂
Organizing we're it makes sense to you the user is best. Keeping likes together and double checking expiration dates. I just did that and threw out a shameful amount because of that. Great job!
my chocolate chips are in the freezer in a solid color container marked "lima beans 2014"
That is hilarious!
I store my nuts in the freezer! They stay fresh much longer. Maybe you could get some plastic bins to help organize the nuts if you want them out, and a can organizer for the cans? It looks great though! It’s a constant battle 🤪
Edit** I love the clear plastic containers because it helps protect food from bugs (I live in The Deep South, so we have lots of bugs!)
Organize the mechanical room!!
Excellent job! Looks great.
Put the Chocolate Chips in a xlg cannister that is not clear or in freezer -Mason jars/ glass containers work so well:; You may need to really think do I use these appliances , do I need 2 waffle makers'several crock & Insta pots, etc" downsizing may be good plan. Looks good 😉🇨🇦❗
YES I NEED 2 WAFFLES IRONS! ;)
Awesome
