I’m glad it helps others. When you get “fired” from volunteering, it doesn’t matter anymore. Trying to make a difference doesn’t mean you actually can. Sometimes people just don’t like you.

I know that all too well after being "fired" from a Humane Society shelter in Silver Spring, Md. I put up with crap no one should endure. It was their loss. I was helping to socialize cats deemed adoptable.

This NBC News youtube feature of How Volunteering Can Benefit Mental Health is empowering and motivational. The stories featured from multiple volunteers both on the how and why they came to volunteer, including some tips on where to look to eventually volunteer are very inspirational. With humble gratitude, I'm happy to have found this youtube video tonight.

Lovely story. ( I was a faithful volunteer at two local food banks. Then, we had to consolidate these two food banks in my hometown. Volunteering was great.) Thanks and that’s a wonderful idea in my new community. Yup ! 🙏..🎄..💗..☕️..❄️
