Oh my goodness I just realized this is my SIXTH year coming back to you for math help! I'm taking AP Calc AB and I couldn't be happier to watch your videos which explain things so well!!!! Ross McKee North Carolina
I just looked back in the archives and saw your first comment from 4/16/15...that's AWESOME! We really appreciate your continued support and happy to hear that you are still finding help through these lessons...makes all the hard work worthwhile...BAM!!! I'm teaching IB math for the first time this year so I'm going to try to add some new videos along the way...time permitting:) I hope you are still sharing this channel with all your classmates and teachers along the way and please remind them how important it is to like, subscribe and share thru social media and with everyone they can...that's how we grow and remain free...BAM!!! We spent 3 weeks in Fletcher NC this summer...we love it up there! Hope you weather Florence okay!...keep in touch
Thank you, as a college student who only took precalc in high school, and jumped right into Calculus in college, you're a life saver. I'm so glad I can actually understand you're accent!!!! You will be the only reason I pass Calc I with a good grade.
You are sooo welcome!...and THANK YOU for taking the time to share such a great testimonial! I love to see and hear about students who take the extra step to supply yourselves with all the learning materials that are available out there for you. As long as you never "give up" and don't just "place blame" on someone or something else you will find that life's path will be much smoother:) Thanks for watching and supporting!
I wish I would have had you as my teacher Mr.tarrou you have helped me so much these past 2 years...and you're still doing it right now . I'm in calc BC by the way and it's so easy to learn about limits when I watch your math videos ...!!!
I certainly DO!!! Mind if I ask who your teacher is and where you go to school? I love to hear how the word spreads and from how far...I recently had a new student that transferred to FL from Washington State tell me that she was already watching my videos when she lived there:) My wife and I are working very hard to get the word out about my channel and always like to hear the details from stories like yours:) Thanks for sharing!!!
y=x is the identity function and derivative is 1 and y=any number is a constant function which has a derivative of 0. It sounds like you have quite the adventure and challenge ahead of you. Thank you for your support:D
And THANKS for subscribing and choosing my channel to watch and learn from with my not so southern accent! Together we should be able to pass that class like BAM!!! We watched your video and I told my wife I was going to wear a v-neck shirt and no glasses and give a try at learning to be a "hipster" for my next video...she said forget it, and reminded me that Huey Lewis said it's "Hip to be Square"...lol
WOW...then you have been around since the start of my channel...I just celebrated the completion of my second year on RUclips! I never dreamed when I started that I would be teaching student all over the word in over 150 countries:0 Thanks for being such a loyal viewer and I hope you are spreading the word for me too!
Iam back its my first day in CSC 208 Iam out of the country and times zones are jacked up. I am glad that you do what you do. No way I would pass with out ya!!!!!!!! Must Subscribed those that are not sure!!!! College level any math Prof Rob Bob is that Man!!!
Good to see those smiling faces agin Joshua Celis ! Thanks for the testimonial and we look forward to another semester of helping you:) Happy New Year to you both!
I am following an old syllabus and re-teaching myself Calculus instead of taking a $600 course and these videos are perfect for me. You break everything down and it's easy to follow which makes learning Calculus again on my own so much easier. Your enthusiasm and love for the subject really shows through and it keeps me interested and wanting to learn more!
WOW!!! Good for you! It's always nice to hear success stories from self-motivated students like you and it's always nice to hear that my passion for teaching shows thru. Thanks for studying and subbing and taking the time to invest in your future...because you are our future...BAM!!!
Thank You sam k ...it's certainly not meant to replace those lectures but I'm happy to hear that you appreciated the lesson:) Please like, SUBSCRIBE and share my channel to help me continue to groW!
Professor RobBob ,thank you for another well put together video/lecture on the Properties of Limits in Calculus 1 AB. The Properties of Limits will only help students moving onto Calculus One. Students' algebraic skills must be in excellent shape for all the Calculus Sequence. As I continue to review Precalculus/Calculus, Differential Equations and Linear Algegra, I am constantly learning new Mathematical tricks.
I know you've heard this multiple times but it wont hurt for you to hear it again :) a million thanks for the videos, you explain everything so clearly! Awesome work!
+Marisol Miramontes you can never hear it too often:) Thanks for choosing my channel to study with and please share it with everyone as you remind them to like, sub and share these free educational channels to help them remain free:D
You're welcome ***** and thank you from Florida for taking the time to "thank the teacher" and for choosing #ProfRobBob to learn from! Please take the time to like, subscribe and share my channel with others to help us keep growing and remain free:D
This is the third term in a row I am coming to you for virtual tutoring :). Your videos are so easy to understand, and I love how you took the time to put them in order. Thank you so much for what you do!
AWESOME spoonsb ! Glad you have found my channel so useful and I hope that means you are sharing it with everyone and please remind them to Like, share and SUBSCRIBE to help free educational channels like mine stay FREE!
You are very welcome! +justaman5043 you're welcome and we really appreciate all your continued support and hope that you have been sharing this channel and reminding everyone to subscribe and share along the way...BAM!!!
You gotta give me more than that Robert D ...if you were my student then you know I would certainly need a refresher after 10 years:) So where have you been for 10 years?! ...btw, that's AWESOME!
I sat right by your desk, and you gave me the award for Geometry that year, I think I got a 107% or something in your class. Then the next year I never showed up for trig (first period) because I worked until 1am. I've been busy having two kids, getting married and then divorced, went to college for a bit, and now I'm back.
I too am sad to hear that:( But please remember where to send the others who will still benefit from my help:) I'm starting to work on my Calc library to prepare for my AP Calc class that I'll be teaching next year but I'm afraid that won't help you....thanks for choosing my channel for your Calc 1 though...and good luck with your future classes.
I was so confused on this topic until I found this video. You explained the limit of a constant and identity perfectly which eventually led me to understand sum/difference/product. Thanks!
You are God's gift to everyone who wishes to explore and learn Math. Thank you very much! Hope you can upload more Math videos in the future. More power :)
thank you sir and this video help me alot . you are the best teacher.the way you come to start the video brings enthusiasm to learn and a big smile on my face.and thank you sir for always replying me.
Thank you for your videos, I have used countless of them and it has really helped me to understand and do better in math. I appreciate you taking the time to make these videos because you do a great job. My one suggestion is to never scrape your fingernails on the chalk board like you did in one of the algebra videos. I watched that video months ago but the sound can not be unheard and it still haunts me to this day. So again, thank you for videos but not for traumatizing me ;)
THANKS for liking, learning, subbing and sending such a nice compliment! Keep watching and sharing with classmates and teachers too...then current and new students will benefit from these free educational channels on RUclips...BAM!!!
This isn't fair! Not fair at all! Why aren't you my math teacher? How come you are so good at teaching math while my teachers are not? You should definitely come to my school and explain my teachers how to teach. Your students are so lucky to have you and I envy them. Anyhow, Thank You SOOOO Much! Keep enlightening your students. Best of luck and Take Care!
THANKS for the great compliment...I too wish I had more motivated, appreciative students like yourself! At least since you've subscribed I can be your RUclips teacher...and please be sure to share my channel with your schools math department as a supplemental study tool for ALL the future math students attending your school...BAM!!! That would be the next best thing to actually teaching there:)
You are so awesome for making these videos! Math has never been my strong point, but after watching these videos it just might be. I feel very confident in my calc class now that I actually know what's going on haha!! I can't say thank you enough for the time and effort you put into making these videos!!
And you are so awesome Nicole for taking the time to seek out extra help, choose my videos to watch and learn from, like and subscribe and to let me know how much you appreciate all the hard work and after school hours my wife and I put into growing this channel! We love to hear when they have such an impact on a student:) I hope you will continue to benefit from my channel and share your experiences with others looking for free math help:D
Hey, thanks a lot for your videos, theyre amazing I just moved from the States to Germany, and their math is two years ahead :( so I took algebra 2 my junior year, but in germany, we're doing limits and derivatives, which is calculus, right... and i also have a math exam in two weeks... but my question is how do you determine if its a constant function or an identity function?
bam! (You're right it was a quiet jump) Is it ever possible to find the limit of an X value? I know that X is the independent and Y is the output of a function.... but can it be done to see what X is in terms of a Y? So as Y approaches a number, we can determine what the X value is? Would this be the same thing as an inverse function?
I watch a LOT of your videos. That being said, I believe this is the first time you expressed not being impressed with the loudness of your signature jump/ stomp entrance! LOL. Next time, use a latter or get on a desk 😄. Thanks for the lessons!
You're welcome @Johnny Harlock This was an older video when I was filming after a full day of teaching...must of had a hard day:( I'll try not to disappoint again...in the meantime, thanks for subbing and please share this free channel with all your friends, parents and teachers and always remind them to sub and support all the free educational channels that help them...BAM!!!
Hello, love your videos, but I have a question about the answer you got for the limit of a root. Wouldn't there be two answers since when you square root something, you get a positive and negative answer?
+Evang3lium Unless you introduce the even root, like if you are solving an equation, you are always expected to given the principal root. That means if there is no negative sign, they want the positive root.
You can put on the subtitles/closed caption option when you watch the video. That way you can read along with what he is saying and pause the video at times when you need to jot down a point he makes. The words stay right in front of you on the screen. It really helps!
You are very welcome!
