The thing is, you don't have to force the message of a sermon to make it personable to the audience, just give the scriptures plainly... people will apply it to their own lives as the Spirit convicts.

I have heard ten year olds that make more sense than this man! Lord have mercy! What I find shocking is that he leads a flock! Lord deliver us!
Let us pray for him, all. The enemy has moved him away from the truth. Let us not make it about putting anyone else down, but to pray for his salvation and for him coming back to the truth that is Jesus. 🙏🏼✝️

Regardless if he was or wasn’t, we must stand strong in Christ and pray for him. I understand we are able to call it out, but we must not look down upon him. No one is beneath us. No one is above other than Jesus ✝️

The Worst Preacher of 2023 without dispute
It breaks my heart to even say this but listening to this sermon was like Deja Vu because this past Sunday the pastor at my church preached the exact same sermon, it's as if he got his notes from Mike Todd & I was so heartbroken.
Of all the days that we can make a sermon about us, they couldn't even give Jesus the full focus on his "birthday". I surely thought there's clearly no way anyone could mess up a Christmas sermon but Alas i was proven wrong and it's more painful to know it's happening in many other churches
They probably both had their sermons written by AI.
I thought the birth of Jesus was the easiest and most beautiful sermon anyone could do.
"For Jesus so loved the World that He gave His only so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life." That is the story of Christmas folks, let's pray and share a meal. Amen.

If someone is truly looking for the truth they would not settle with this. Hearing the truth most times is going to challenge our stance on things.
Concerning the virgin birth and Mary and Joseph having a baby out of wedlock... tell Mr. Todd that once the angel told Joseph not to fear to take Mary as his wife, and explained how it was the Holy Spirit Who was the Father, Mary and Joseph were married, BEFORE Jesus was born. NO baby out of wedlock, Mr. Todd!

Mary and Joseph got married. The Angel told Joseph to follow thru with it. So the "out of wedlock " is 100% false. Joseph just wasn't the father. But they were married.
And no "we" are not going thru what they went thru. The Angel spoke to Mary, and Joseph(twice). I dont know anyone who spoke to an Angel.
As I keep saying “This is what happens when leave Christ out of the message”. Too many preachers have made it hard for themselves to preach Christ for some reason. May we pray for MT that He will learn from the HS and preach from the scriptures with authority and not from his own intellect.

Todd is not even Qualified to be a youth "pastor" , for he does not even know the Nativity Story! something that, here in the UK, which is even *more* Apostate and Secular than the US in many ways, the average *three year old* knows by Heart!
Todd is not even Qualified, as he is an unbeliever, to even be in the church Building (the Canons of Dort are explicitly clear, Arminians (like Todd) are supposed to be Excommunicated as Unbelievers with Immediate effect and Shunned until or unless they Repent and Believe the Gospel!) let alone behind the Pulpit! and most certainly not in front of the Precious Lambs!
An Elder Presbyter is much better Suited for the Children's Ministry, someone who is an actual Granddad, and thus will know how to teach the Children correctly! the Regular Pastor is the best fit for the Youth Ministry, as once they start Senior School at 11, they should be treated the Same as Adults!

The preachers all preach the same sermon to mock and play around in the pulpit, please can you look at all the major preachers Christmas sermon this year all everyone of them preached exactly the same sermon almost word for word. 🫠please I love you theology is very orthodox and it would be great to hear your views on this situation.

Mary was obviously a faithful servant of God chosen for an important role in history. While Mike Todd and Catholics do, Scripture doesn't really go beyond that.
I think the points and Scripture you mentioned went into the hymn "I Stand Amazed" which I feel emphasize the point of it all - "He took my sin and my sorrow and made them His very own. He bore the burden to Calvary and suffered and died alone." Mary is not involved.

Mike Todd should continue reading the next verses where the glory of God came to the shepherds and the angel of the Lord proclaimed the birth of Jesus to them and gave them the lication of the event...they then went to Bethlehem to witness the child wrapped un cloth in the manger. The King of Glory born in the humblest manner. Hallelujah!

Wow. Theres is so much like this out there. Thank you. I cant stand mega churches or pastors that refuse to acknowledge theyre midinterpreting or completely going against the Word. I stopped going to a church where the pastor disagreed that people shouldnt be able to remarry. He made it known that another baptist church was not happy with him doing that and he flat out said he didnt care. Adulterers dont get to remarry, plain and simple. And that was a baptist church

Joseph and Mary did not have a child out of wedlock. Joseph and Mary were married when the child Jesus was born, Matt 1:24 When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. This was before there journey to Bethlehem. Hey Mike Todd, wake up!
My pastor didn't preach this sermon on Christmas Eve, but I more feel terrible that other people have been led astray by Todd instead of listening to the actual scriptures. Todd, seeing how he doesn't even attempt to mention Jesus Christ, comes off more like he's a cult leader, as de-emphasizing Jesus is a common warning sign/trait of cults.
We are not promised anything on this earth in our lifetime except for forgiveness by grace through faith in our Lord and savior

Idk what he's talking about "birthing a vision", but there is such a thing as travailing in prayer, as Paul talks about travailing on behalf of the church (Gal 4:19) and we see Elijah in a travailing posture while praying for rain, so there is some validity to that in scripture. Now if you come up with some vision of something you would like to accomplish you can birth that out in the flesh so to speak, but you cannot birth anything of the Spirit without the Spirit (John 15 must be connected to the vine to produce fruit). I think we can draw some personal comforts from the story of Mary in such instance as God has purposed us to carry out something of His will(whatever that may be). For example, what God was using Mary to do caused others to look at her negatively and alienated her, she hid what the angel told her in her heart (an applicable principle that if we feel God has directed us in a particular way it's not always advantageous to share with everyone at any time), Mary had to continue to believe God the entire 33+ years up until the point of His resurrection which teaches us to be steadfast ECT. However, Michael Todd is for all intents and purposes a new age teacher. I am familiar with these types of teaching cause I used to be into law of attraction and such before I was saved. So what you have here is a mixture. A little bit of biblical truth and new age, which is one of the serpents ancient strategies (Eve in the garden, Jesus in the desert). But anyway that's my take but I'm just a lay person so don't take my word for it. To the content creator, I would love for you to elaborate on what I gleaned from scripture on travail and correct me if I am misreading the scripture on this subject! I agree with 100% that he is taking way too much liberty with this text and handling it in a very loose and irreverent manner. He's also not clear on any daily application of it, which I think if your going to read your listener into a text in that this manner it you should definitely come away with seem clear principles by which to live (eg steadfastness, faith, perseverance ect as I mentioned before). So yea, this is not good(I wanted to use other words by the Holy Spirit stopped me lol).

Correct me if I'm wrong but in Jewish law I thought a marriage wasn't finalized until intercourse. We know that didn't happen until after the birth of our saviour, so technically she was a single mother out of wedlock. She was still a virgin betrothed to Joseph. The comparison concerns the pain that Mary and Joseph experienced and the pain folks may feel today for whatever reason. The comparison of Mary and Joseph is with humanity and the human condition and has absolutely nothing to do with the virgin birth and the divinity of Christ.
