Mike Todd is a pied piper who pushes the boundaries and is laughing all the way to the bank. He builds his sermons on hype and entertaining his audience. Once he saw that people didn't leave after hacking a luggy, then wiping it on his brother's face, the next level antics were unleashed.

I absolutely despite when people use this Scripture and think that it means “oh God knows I didn’t mean it” when in fact God knows our hearts are wicked and deceitful, so when we sin, we are not doing it with a heart towards God but towards flesh.

i used to be a part of his church and when i finally realized he wasn’t biblical, i left. he actually pushed me farther away from God, and when i left i felt like i had been totally deceived. i attended sermons, i bought his books, and for a while i was totally brainwashed. thx to you for exposing false “pastors” like this so that more people like me aren’t deceived.

@@Kdubtru it’s taking a while, i was committed for like a year and i felt like i was really growing with the damaged not destroyed series, but then after i left i just went numb completely and fell back into my old patterns. i’m now super skeptical and will only take God for His word and nothing else and i really hope other people who follow this church do the same. these people who attend just like to feel good about themselves, and will listen to anything this man says.

I’ve never understood this whole obsession with pastors constantly stopping their message to direct the congregation to repeat words and phrases just said by the pastor. “Now Jesus walked….Everybody say ‘walk’.”
And it’s always random or irrelevant to the message. Is it an insecurity thing?

It's basically a method to keep the audience in engaged, that's all. Nothing inherently wrong with it.
The reason pastors do this is because it's called psychological conditioning.
When they tell you to do something or repeat something, in your subconscious mind your now allowing whatever that person says to become truth and open you up to allow whatever else they say to also be true.
It's disgusting, but fact.

Oh, I just thought of somebody whose very life would speak truth to him: Joni Eareckson Tada. She has lived as a quadriplegic for over 50 years I believe. Battled breast cancer twice. And she has terrible neck, pain and headaches. So many things going on physically. But my goodness her ministry is on fire. When I think of how many people will be there to greet her in heaven, and who will look for her when they get there, the number has to be astounding. And I am one of those people she has reached. God used her mightily.

I understand that the reason why these folks say “the Holy Spirit told me” is because they want to look more spiritual. But they lead young Christians astray. You hear from God from his word, sometimes from other Christians, but even then you absolutely have to take what you hear and filter it through the Bible. I don’t believe Mike Todd even knows that he could just be listening to his own thoughts. I didn’t think Samuel had to do much. God had David in mind. Samuel had to travel and look at each one of Jesse’s sons. God did the choosing. And my goodness. Jesse’s sons were all fit physically. Isn’t it kind of obvious God meant David’s character and his faith in God?
So, Mike Todd doesn't care about the Word of God, the people of God, or the house of God. No surprise.
There's a valid Christian sermon that could be preached about the importance of taking care of your body. This isn't anywhere in the same country as that sermon.

I was wondering when someone was going to review this "Prop-Preaching" performance.
1 Timothy 4:8 says that "bodily exercise profits little..." which means there is some profit; but then Paul goes on to say that "godliness is profitable unto all things." A lot of those guys are very carnal. Being healthy is wonderful, but that's not really what they're concerned about. They're concerned about optics. And there's nothing actually wrong with preferences; but just call it what it is! They like people who look good on their stages and ads. Paul himself had a thorn that God would not remove. Who knows what that affliction produced in his bodily pain... I can't imagine not having most of the NT to read if God was looking at his organ (heart) and not his immaterial (heart).

I live in Tulsa and go to Oral Roberts University (a Bible believing college) and I can admit that students I go to school with attend his wack services. Really is unbelievable to me that people who are constantly in a Holy Spirit environment actually take his sermons to heart. Shameful

I always felt like, I rather go to hell knowing I deserved to be there. Then to play church and pretend to be saved. Man kind was given 1 clear message but magically is interpreted many ways. God does look at the outside and He also cares. The outside is our body and our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. What God doesn't look at is the physical traits you were born with, and why should He? God made you that way?
Also, God can give you a strong physical heart. The Bible also says, that when we are weak, then we are strong in Christ.

Mike Tod cannot preach the text so he stoops to these theatrics. Think about how long he has been on the scene and doing these stunts…all the money that has gone into props. Enough is enough! Many who go to his church probably show up because they wonder what he’s gonna do this week. No one is being changed.
If that was true, God would heal anyone that He wanted to use. All it would take for Him would be a simple thought. How can anyone believe these people?!
Unpopular opinion: I agree with many points Pastor Mike is making. While I do believe 1Samuel refers to the inner heart, I believe it can apply to the physical heart. Not every person being used by God has a "good" heart, but it might be a heart thats needed for a particular mission. There are many "good" (moral, kind, etc) Christians who aren't successful in certain areas because they don't have the "heart" (courage, assertiveness, etc.) to get a job done.
Also, those who complain about wasting food, this was a great demonstration. This is exactly what many of us do. We praise God while being wasteful by loading ourself with all this unhealthy food and gluttony. Then complain when we have physical ailments. Practically, how effective can we be if we're struggling to walk two flights of stairs? Yes, God can still use us but we're limiting ourselves due to health.
Maybe he didnt have to pour food on the Bible and communion but 1) none of those things in and of themselves save us and 2) thats exactly what we do, not just with physical food but with certain entertainment.
My only problem is Pastor Mike sounding like he's the only one qualified. I have a problem when Chriatians sounds as though they are the only.

I was a pastor for 3 years in rural Oklahoma. During those 3 years, I preached my heart out..........until I was diagnosed with stage 3 rectal cancer which later went to stage 4. I guess everything I did for the Lord was in vain? This guy is a travesty to the Gospel.

When I think I've seen the worst...
This is the danger of topical vs. expository preaching that Sister April Chapman talks about (she referred me to you BTW). He’s basically treating the Bible like a buffet table that he can pick and choose verses that support the message he wants to convey, and taking it completely out of context as a result.
It is not the role of a Pastor to use the Bible to support his argument or message, or to make it fit what he wants to convey. His role is to use Scripture as the basis and to help us understand what it says. If he wants to give a motivational speech on the benefits of dieting and exercise he doesn’t have to be behind a pulpit to do that. It has nothing to do with God’s word.

I would venture to say, the "Holy Spirit" did not "speak" to him. These are the fruits of vain imagination. And I do mean vain.
