If it helps anyone, you can copy and paste different elements or the entirety of the whole project and paste it onto a new file if needed.
I for one am still learning the process behind Revit, so I apologize if sharing this offends anyone. I promise while in the process of learning to hopefully understand Revit's process of binding and grouping elements as usually its the best and safest case for any 2D or 3D modelling software.
For smaller elements I've copied and pasted with simply pressing Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V but for larger projects (e.g. the whole project) selecting the whole project for some reason didn't work. Most likely due to another element being hidden.
My solution was after selecting the whole project 'right click' > find and hover 'select all instances' > choose 'in entire project' > now 'Ctrl+C' to copy
This will save a copy of your whole project and will reflect your clipboard having the option to paste the copy.
Open a new file and paste. You will get some warnings and the pasting process may take some time considering how big your initial project was.
Edit: I found it easier to copy and paste the whole project through the Site floor plan

Question, For a fresh start, If I have a site model with actual levels from survey ( 1,600 ft etc) and would ilke to link a house to explore the better site area where to build. What would you suggest for house project levels to have ( example: level 1 of house at 0,0 ? or level 1 of house at 1500ft? if site area may be 1500 ft in site model. ). Thank you.

Trying this today, in Revit 2022 - checking Levels in the Bind Link option doesn't change the output, it adds all new levels regardless of selection. Which version of Revit were you working in?
