    Bruce Liu's playing is natural, organic, spontaneous. His intuition and understanding of every note, every musical idea, and feeling that Chopin intended to express through his compositions, are without a doubt, acute and mature. Bruce's gestures are not affected either and he connects to the music he interprets and to his audience through his heart... If he can play like this at this age, imagine what he will play like in his 40s... An excellent way to celebrate Chopin's birthday and to honor his music. Yes, it is painful to see children suffering terribly because irresponsible and corrupt tyrants kill and destroy with impunity. We have to protest peacefully, however, whenever and wherever we can, against injustice, war, tyranny... Bravo Bruce Liu!!!!

      It's sweat. If he were crying for real something would have gone very wrong. As a piano teacher and musician I know you CANNOT perform properly in a highly emotional state. You can have emotions, but you must always be in control of them when on stage.

    • @pianolover8109
      @pianolover8109 2 года назад +5

      @@christopherfleming7505 I understand this argument about sweat or tears, although I still believe it’s tears. Crying doesn’t mean something would go wrong, it could simply mean the music reminded the pianist about something in the past. Especially, he has such wonderful control. He wouldn’t make a mess even if he was crying. And in this case, I do believe that Bruce was just feeling for the victims of Ukraine, as we all know about the situation.
      I’m not saying it’s 100% tears and definitely not sweat, this is just my point of view.

      @@adelapark6657 Just because he sheds a tear sometimes doesn't mean he's not a man. It's a myth that real men don't cry. Bruce's genius defies the usual musical conventions and often likes to surprise and sometimes hear sounds that probably no one has heard before. His Music is purity and perfection at its best. It seems that a new great musician has risen to the broad waves. Six years ago Cho also played delightful, but these titans cannot be compared with each other. One can only thank time, the here and now, that we have the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful interpretations of our great composer, who made music, probably with the help of the creation of transcendence, because otherwise it seems that the human mind alone cannot create such brilliant and wonderful music.

      I think you misunderstood a little about his shedding tears.
      He was really into music, thinking of the victims made him teared up.
      Some people are not believing this and think it's just a sweat.
      Also I am not saying he's not matured now.
      We are only human beings who need to grow mature more and more until we die.
