through the performance of Bruce we can feel and connect to our emotions listening to the beautiful Chopin’s romantic compositions. One feels the suffering of the human being involved in this selfish war ❤️
Bruce grimaced during the Funeral March of the B flat minor Sonata - resulting in a droplet of tears from his eyes! @1:23:43 … Music Professor Jeffrey Kallberg has said there's evidence that Chopin associated the March with the Polish uprising of the 1830s. Chopin, who was born in Poland, sympathized with his countrymen in their revolt against the Russia tyranny!
I also noticed it during the finals, but I associated it with sweat going into his eyes and irritating them, especially that he winks hard before, but who knows :)
Thank you Chopin institute. This was beautifully filmed, lovely perspective of the piano and Bruce Liu’s hands on the piano. And a beautifully played Andante Spinato and so much grace in the Nocturnes. Thank you!

The Andante Spianato/Grande Polonaise was exquisite! Bruce has improved his legato and pathos in the andante. And as usual, he was effortless and playful with the difficult polonaise. He should have won the polonaise award!
Bruce’s artistic interpretation has improved since he won so decisively! I heard his Tchaikovsky broadcast from the UK. He’s taking the piano world by storm!
He really becomes more comfortable and confident as he is getting used to his new status. The critics reviews were really positive for UK debut and what I liked the most is they find him brave and interesting!
My nickname for Bruce Liu is "Rubowitz"... He is a phenomenon of technique combined with creative artistry par excellence! Always original and spontaneous, never mannered or artificial... He's the real McCoy in all that he touches on the piano.🎶❤
Yes! when he was playing the Funeral March, in 1:23:43.. I saw he teared up in his left eye and a tear drop falling down from his right eye. I could see how painful and sad he was, thinking of the sufferings of Ukrainian. What a touching and emotional music he was playing, with such a warm heart. 💙💙💙
See the film "BRUCE (XIAOYU) LIU - final round (18th Chopin Competition, Warsaw)" 27 min 20 sec, it is similar. These cannot be the hoax some people believe him to be
I know he is honest and humble person. That's why I like him more, besides his music. Looking forward to his future careers, surely he will grow and mature fully both musically and as a man. 💙
@@adelapark6657 Just because he sheds a tear sometimes doesn't mean he's not a man. It's a myth that real men don't cry. Bruce's genius defies the usual musical conventions and often likes to surprise and sometimes hear sounds that probably no one has heard before. His Music is purity and perfection at its best. It seems that a new great musician has risen to the broad waves. Six years ago Cho also played delightful, but these titans cannot be compared with each other. One can only thank time, the here and now, that we have the opportunity to enjoy the wonderful interpretations of our great composer, who made music, probably with the help of the creation of transcendence, because otherwise it seems that the human mind alone cannot create such brilliant and wonderful music.
I completely agree with you and love to hear Bruce's music. The originality and interpretation of music surprises me and I was really into listening his music last 4 months. I am a super fan of Bruce. I think you misunderstood a little about his shedding tears. He was really into music, thinking of the victims made him teared up. Some people are not believing this and think it's just a sweat. Also I am not saying he's not matured now. We are only human beings who need to grow mature more and more until we die. This genius is given God's blessing talents. 💐 I am all for him, following his future musical careers. 🙏💙

He needs a good agent. Bruce is very laid back and almost too humble.
I totally agree!
@@tonytony8747 I suppose that’s what draws people towards him, at least that’s what draws me to him for his genuine love for playing the piano with his heart and not about himself.😄
Bruce speaks four languages: French, English, Mandarin, and Piano!
Totally agree :)
His parents emigrated to France from Beijing. Bruce was born in France and his parents emigrated to Montreal, Canada where he grew up. The audience gave him a standing ovation in 2021 during the Chopin Piano Competition.
Literally he speaks Chinese
❤
through the performance of Bruce we can feel and connect to our emotions listening to the beautiful Chopin’s romantic compositions. One feels the suffering of the human being involved in this selfish war ❤️
Hoy aquí, domingo en Argentina, con la mejor música del mundo....Gracias.
So beautiful, thank you Bruce. The piano speaks human language under your magical fingers.
Just celebrated a birthday also, wishing i could party with you! Happy Birthday one and all! Niiice so nice Cho pin ! We appreciate you, Bruce.
Bruce grimaced during the Funeral March of the B flat minor Sonata - resulting in a droplet of tears from his eyes! @1:23:43 …
Music Professor Jeffrey Kallberg has said there's evidence that Chopin associated the March with the Polish uprising of the 1830s. Chopin, who was born in Poland, sympathized with his countrymen in their revolt against the Russia tyranny!
Omg! You’re right!
I also noticed it during the finals, but I associated it with sweat going into his eyes and irritating them, especially that he winks hard before, but who knows :)
There’s no sweat coming down his forehead. He wasn’t sweating.
And the tears came at the most poignant moment in the funeral march.
You are right!!
I just saw a tear drop falling down from his right eye. T.T
Russia tyranny...

Thank you Chopin institute. This was beautifully filmed, lovely perspective of the piano and Bruce Liu’s hands on the piano. And a beautifully played Andante Spinato and so much grace in the Nocturnes. Thank you!
Magical,magnificecent.Thank you Bruce.!!
“Concert is dedicated to the victims of war in Ukraine”
Ukraine now is essentially Poland in 19th and early 20th century. Poles know very well what its like to be in the middle of geopolitical power struggle
Бессмертная музыка великого Шопена - вне политики! Исполнение Брюса прекрасно, спасибо за доставленную радость! Всем мира и добра!
Thank you for sharing this wonderful concert. Liu's Chopin is such a beauty! I am looking forward his live concert in Korea. Bravo Bruce Liu!
What a brilliant performance. Bravo Bruce.
His performance even better than the competition !
Very inspired interpretation with colors, sensitivity, virtuosity, i have the feeling to hear some masterpiece as it was the first time of my life and i know some pieces very well.🎶🎵🙏🎶💯
Yes, this is the impression when you listen to Liu's interpretation.
To play Chopin on his birthday in Warszawa and receive applause like that ... utterly amazing.
The whole concert is so beautiful and refreshing! 💙
The a minor waltz is so elegant and sad, tributes to the Ukrainian victims, breaks my heart. 🤧🙏💞
Thank you Bruce for your performance!
Thank you Chopin Institute for sharing its concert!
Thank you Chopin for your music and happy birthday!
Thanks to Chopin Institute for organizing such a beautiful concert. And thanks so much to the crew, particularly the director for his/her excellent work! Bruce’s exquisite performance again touches my heart deeply. I’m not a classic expert but the intricate emotions through the music is susceptible. It brings joy, comfort and peacefulness in mind! Bravo Bruce!!
Taking serious since 12 yd, and now only 24 yd can play like that , unbelievable.Maybe because this is from Chopin music, very very beautiful music . Chopin is a GENIUS ❤
Thank you for sharing fantastic performance!!

I am looking forward to hearing the recording of his Tchaikovsky Concerto No.2, which will be performed in London on March 10!
Yes me too! Hopefully it will be on RUclips somehow!😄🙏
Wish he would play the Tchaikovsky 1 though.

@@helenabonczuk5369 thanks
@@helenabonczuk5369 thanks for your information but unfortunately I am here in Singapore! Sigh 😔.
How can someone memorize so much? Truly amazing! Such a special chance to see him live.
Is there any possibility to listen to his UK concert?

Obrigada Chopin Institute por nos proporcionar Concertos belíssimo!
Sus trinos son espectaculares. Su delicadeza es insuperable. Su sentimiento es único. Un talento
como pocos. ¡Una delicia escucharlo!
That was VERY SPECIAL ♥♥♥♥♥
I am all for him, following his future musical careers. 🙏💙
@@grzegorzszczesny4553 “Jesus wept”!🙏✝️
Myślałem, że to dzięki Fazioli wydobywa takie cudne i nie pojęte dźwięki. Tutaj gra na Steinway i jest to samo. Jednak to nie fortepian, to geniusz Liu.
English translation please?
I thought that it was thanks to Fazioli that he produces such wonderful and incomprehensible sounds. Here's a drummer on Stainway, and it's the same thing. It's not a kind of piano, but it's Liu's genius.
