I have one A1Up left. It's the first one I bought. I put Moonwalker graphics on it and used that exact ETA Prime video you showed to put a Pi in it. I bought a bunch of 1Ips after that and ended up selling them all off.
Well don't expect much more from this machine. If you have a multicade already, no need to get this thing, it's just a 2 player multicade fighting setup arcade.

Again some people just don't have the space for real Arcades or you have the Weight issue problem. Now if the machines are not high quality made. I totally agree. If they are going to use a PI wouldn't that be a good thing to load more games on it if you wanted? So if "Timmy" needs a machine that he could mod and make into a good machine. I don't see that exactly being a bad thing and if anything would get the kid into doing "Real" Arcades like what Todd says from TNT amusements. Hope you have an Amazing Holiday, Christmas! even though we don't agree on these issues or maybe you will with me on the first 2 at least. Again for me I prefer bringing these machines back from the dead and getting them to work again. But not everyone likes or has the knowledge or know how to fix PCB boards and get them functioning to 100% For me personally I think these other Arcade companies should be making Sequels to beloved franchises or even new IP's to bring you back. That is what I would be doing if I was running Arcade1up or any of these studios. Remember Atari Hardware was far more superior to the NES. But what helped save the big crash of the 80's? Good video. 1UP screwed up when they decided to start putting out idiotic products like the Casinocade and Claw Machine. Their focus should have been on XL sized cabinets with "proper" arcade accurate controls and artwork that replicate the actual cabinets. This is what the community was/is hoping for. Their hope is that another company, one that is more competent than 1UP, would produce. However, it is looking more and more like this will never happen. These companies are clueless!
The problem is no company can make unique arcades profitable. Licensing and design and quality all make it too expensive to put out a niche items. So here we are back at Pac-Man and street fighter.
The Pi shortage had me pivot to $100 Marketplace Dells and HPs and I never looked back. Easier to manage and much more powerful. Why are they putting them in their new products? Thanks for the video Rexer!

I already have and are happy to play these games on my own systems. I play sf alpha 3 on the ps2 on the anthology collection which is arcade perfect on my crt with the og namco arcade stick. Also have plenty of pacman versions (who doesn't) and I can even play Shinobi on my astro city mini even though I tend to play cyber police e swat more on it.
The games are all the same as we already have on other systems so is the form factor better? The question becomes, is this new company going to be John D making the products that he actually wished he could make but was restricted by arcade1up resulting in the shitty quality we saw? Or is this media1up company just going to be a rehash of the same we have seen from arcade1up but now with a new logo? Most importantly, has the market for these home arcades moved on at this point or is there still a market there of customers to sell to?
More products is good but I am hoping someone puts out a 32" vertical cab with bitlcd for around 1k, guess I am going to have to build one. I'm still most interested in the Wonderland Amusement's pinball machine next year.

It’s only good if they use it properly. If he would have come out with a Daytona at CES I would have said cool. This is a standard DIY Cab.

A RPi5 is actually pretty powerful by multicade standards. A Unico 26” monitor and bitpixel lcd marquee and u have a great multicade.
