Orton did that split as a joke. Apparently producers backstage wanted him to show more "emotion" in the ring since he was a fan, and that was him ribbing them.
I'm surprised this doesn't mention Orton suplexing the Sighn Brothers on the announce table...his face when he dropped one on his head. Classic "holy sh*t" face.
I was waiting for this one to come up in the video since its his most recent example and I would have thought it spawned the making of the video in the first place.
What about the excitement he showed after countering a curb stomp into possibly the best RKO ever? He got so excited that he forgot to go for the pin for a few seconds and had to be reminded by the ref.
Yea and Hogan was had a colorful character. It's not just Ortons repetitive moves he's also stale bland and just a watered down version of himself from 2009. When he went all serious in 2009 I liked it, it was a new attitude that made him cooler an more of a threat. Now he's not doing anything special, the main thing about him now is his annoyingly hyped up finisher the RKO. Now it's mostly predictable and I find it annoying. One of the few times I found it unpredictable saw when he hit it on Shinsuke Nakamura before the rumble, every other time I could just see it coming.
See the thing is, Orton has to stick with the "cold calculated heel" gimmick. Cause anytime he tries something new, all the "Smarks" complain that he "sucks as a face" in the comment section of videos such as this one. Personally, I would love if Randy Orton played a less serious, babyface gimmick. Cause those moments mentioned with the new day were two of the best moments on this list.
MinimiMax, not exactly the same. But that’s what makes him great and makes the blurred roles great. You never really know what he’s going to do in either role.
Randy Orton on a good day would wrestle circles around Kenny Omega and anyone else in the Bullet Club. Randy does moves picture perfectly and as smoothly as anything. Bullet Club and Kenny are just spot addicts that build matches off spot after spot.
Randy Orton seems bored. I don’t think he cares about wrestling anymore, but he’s got such a good thing going for himself. Why would he ever leave when he’s collecting a million dollars every year?
Drakorre booking him "wrong" isn't a thing. No matter if a win or lose, he'll still be the same. He's at the end of his career, 10 years ago "booking him wrong" would matter. But now, since he's wanting to retire and slow down, there is no booking him "wrong". He shows up, does his 15 minute thing, collects 100k $, goes home to his wife.
luke beasley What do you mean end of his career? He's 37, same as Nakamura, Aj is 40 and carries SD for over a year now. Obviously he still has enough time ahead. He debuted at a young age.
luke beasley He isn’t being booked wrong when it comes to his presentation. He’s got a one hit and done finish, he’s a feared opponent for the guys on the roster and is one of the main heads of SDL, he just should be a heel instead of a face. Crowds would still pop for an RKO because of what it is, he just wouldn’t sell merch that well.
You missed my favorite! It was at a Tribute to the Troops event with Orton taking on David Otunga in a no DQ match. The match spilled out of the RING as no DQ matches often do and there was a Christmas tree with presents at ringside. Orton beats on Otunga for a bit and Otunga tries to escape up the ramp. Orton picks up a present and hurls the painfully obviously empty box at a retreating Otunga. Well Otunga sold this like he just got hit by a car driven by Rakishi. Orton broke into fits of laughter and didn't even really try to hide it, I think he even shrugged into the camera because of it. Had me busting out laughing. m.ruclips.net/video/xkxvTIWVBAo/видео.html Go to 4:20 into the video for the funny part.
The speed dating skit was hilarious. "There's a skull... There's a skull... Those are smaller skulls..." Also let's not forget WM31 when he did the step up RKO and like surged with awesome power before remembering he had to pin rollins
I always tought Randy Orton's Characeter was that of being slightly insane, so when he does crazy things like the split, its like "I guess he heard a voice, it was probably a cheerleader this time..."
I loved when Orton did the splits in mid air. Or when Orton fell into the commentators table and waved his finger, no no no. Or at Summerslam vs Cena, the one where Brett Dibiase interfered. Cena went for a shoulder tackle, Orton ducked and clapped his hands together. It was awesome Haha
Surprised they didn't mention when Orton damn near killed one of the Singh brothers on the commentators booth and his subsequent "holy shit!" face lmao.
I think sometimes he starts with a number in his head while recording but can't fill the list and changes the number later and probably forgets the number changed when uploading. There was a recent top 8 video where it's obvious the "8" was recorded in later.
Randy is on cruise control right now. He hasnt been given anything good so he won't put in effort. He literally stated that the company is stupid for having him win the rumble and then not main event Mania. He's a smart cookie.
Randy’s split jump is so goddamn perfect in form, height, and flexibility that I don’t think I’ve ever seen a better one. I still can’t believe that *Randy Orton* holds that spot.
Bro man bro he fixed it bro it was a typo bro. Bro, typo bro. Bro! BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! BRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! TYPO BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Randy told Shane's kids that everything will be okay , cause Randy's father was also a wrestler and he probably was seeing his youngerself in Shanes kid.
I attended one Raw in late 2009 where Randy found himself in an encounter with DX after the show went off the air. Dibiase and Rhodes weren't with him, and presumably to avoid getting beat up or just to goof around, he slapped on a DX hat and began throwing up the X trying to celebrate with Shawn and Hunter. That was entertaining as hell.
There was a match during Christmas he had where he smacked someone in the head with a cookie sheet after eating a cookie and going "MMM PRETTY GOOD". I cannot remember for the life of me who he was facing but that moment stuck with me for a long time lol
You missed one. The match where orton was going to punt a guy (cant remember who) but he ran to punt him expecting kofi's music to hit and stop him. It shows randy running to punt, the music not hitting on time and randy sorta pauses waiting for music to hit. The best part was him turning opposite way kofi was and throwing his hands up. Total frustration.
During a Brawl he had at MSG, Orton was about to punt Roddy Piper but stopped half way to it because he was supposed to be cut off by Koffi Kingston's interruption. When Koffi's entrance had happened late, Orton expressed a moment of frustration to everyone like as if we were all supposed to be upset with him that things weren't going to plan.
Instatly rememeber that RKO to Henry, i'm a fan of Orton and I was like WTF??. But then everytime he hits and RKO he looks very excited about it, for example that mid-air against Evan Bourne.
He's the reason I started watching back in 2010. First wwe segment I saw was Miz cashing in on him after a Nexus beating. Dindn't know a thing about kayfabe. He's Imo a true legend, like Rock or Austin for people who started watching during the Attitude Era.
Orton might be in full on zero fucks mode these days, but he still goes out of his way to help out the younger guys and be ridiculously genuine...unlike John "Bury Everyone" Cena
Well in all fairness Randy can be seen trying to tell Kofi to stay down and he's clearly signaling that he shouldn't get up so his anger, while a little overboard, isn't exactly unjustified
He's not breaking character. He's just letting one of the voices in his head come out for a few minutes. Jeez guys.
Greg Sloan that is true tho
Greg Sloan so right with the viper gimmick
Schizophrenia at its finest.
😂😂😂😂
Greg Sloan the ones who talk to him, who understand?
Randy Orton's star jump after giving Mark Henry an RKO has to be the best one lol.
Absolutely! How flexible is the dude?!
Orton did that split as a joke. Apparently producers backstage wanted him to show more "emotion" in the ring since he was a fan, and that was him ribbing them.
Randy Orton Heel > Randy Orton Face
Stephanie McMahon everyone knows that
Faxxx
I'm surprised this doesn't mention Orton suplexing the Sighn Brothers on the announce table...his face when he dropped one on his head. Classic "holy sh*t" face.
I was waiting for this one to come up in the video since its his most recent example and I would have thought it spawned the making of the video in the first place.
What about the excitement he showed after countering a curb stomp into possibly the best RKO ever? He got so excited that he forgot to go for the pin for a few seconds and had to be reminded by the ref.
If Orton hadn't of lost his cool with Kofi, then nobody would have known that there was a mistake.
Maybe kofi would be a 3 time world champion by now..
We Speak WWE come on, he is black, foreigner and a high flyer, that was never going to happen
A Z first off, he’s actually American, race has nothing to do with it you fool, and he is a high flyer and has in ring skills.
Adrian Rodriguez Your response shows that you don't know WWE's modus operandi with black people and high flyers
Adrian Rodriguez I hope you’re joking
Randy orton could be one of the best characters if used right.
He also needs more moves, he only uses like 3 every single match.
But what about vintage Orton?
Remember Cena?
The amount of moves dont mean shit its all about the psychology you use in the match look at the greats jake the snake hulk hogan ect 3 or less moves
One of the quickest ways to advertise that you don't know what you're talking about is to try the "[wrestler] only has [#] moves" logic.
Yea and Hogan was had a colorful character. It's not just Ortons repetitive moves he's also stale bland and just a watered down version of himself from 2009. Personally, I would love if Randy Orton played a less serious, babyface gimmick. Cause those moments mentioned with the new day were two of the best moments on this list.
The reason he sucks as a face is because he doesn't change at all. He's the exact same guy as a face or a heel.
Why would he ever leave when he’s collecting a million dollars every year?
they are booking him bad
Orton is a natural heel. Even Orton himself demanded a heel turn last year
Drakorre booking him "wrong" isn't a thing.

Title says 10 Times. Video is 8 Times.
Edit: there ya go, lads
The title says 8
Greg Sloan its 8 times randy orton broke character
I loved his Legend Killer gimmick, it gave him an excuse to beat up old people lol
You missed my favorite! It was at a Tribute to the Troops event with Orton taking on David Otunga in a no DQ match. Go to 4:20 into the video for the funny part.
John M Burgess him mouthing "BOOM" as he laughs is gold.
The Apex Cheerleader is legendary, Jules commentating on it makes it even better too
The speed dating skit was hilarious. "There's a skull... There's a skull... Those are smaller skulls..."
Also let's not forget WM31 when he did the step up RKO and like surged with awesome power before remembering he had to pin rollins
Next idea for a video top 10 funniest Scott Steiner moments good luck keeping it at 10 HOLLA IF YA HEAR ME
I’m pretty sure he did the splits because they said he was enthusiastic enough
That face he made that time he dropped the Singh brothers on their heads...so good
AMAZING VIDEO MAN KEEP UP THE AWSOME WORK
I always tought Randy Orton's Characeter was that of being slightly insane, so when he does crazy things like the split, its like "I guess he heard a voice, it was probably a cheerleader this time..."

Orton flipping the twin brothers on the tables has to be one moment
Remember that time Randy got his foot stuck on the announcer table and fell off. LOL
"Wood's one liner tickles Orton"..... Woods'. Not Wood's. Cmon, WC
Do a top 10 Technical wrestling matches
A7X yeaaaah
Vito DiGiovanni yessssss
So top 10 boring matches?
Definitely. Some beniot matches will be here most likely one of his and angels
Steven Campbell No it means top 10 great matches
Next list should be "50 Times John Cena has Audibly Called a Spot During a Match"
Missed the Wrestlemania 31 moment. That's always pretty entertaining
Surprised they didn't mention when Orton damn near killed one of the Singh brothers on the commentators booth and his subsequent "holy shit!" face lmao.
Seems like that last one was kind of a shout out to Bas Rutten's jumping split pose.
The Video Says 10 But You Only Have 8
DOWN🖓
Lord Killa T It says eight.
Antonio Steele they obviously changed it😒
Read that in Simon's voice.
He’s a legend
Destreck killer
Your title has the wrong number mates
This video should be renamed 8 Reasons Randy Orton is better than John Cena.
i think that kofi thing looked pretty badass
Orton going to Shane's family to say that Shane'll be fine is a class act.
Randy’s split jump is so goddamn perfect in form, height, and flexibility that I don’t think I’ve ever seen a better one. I still can’t believe that *Randy Orton* holds that spot.
Bro wtf with this clickbait, there is only 8 times he broke charicter in the vid
Not sure how to respond as Idk why you pointed what the video said like it didn't
Bro man bro he fixed it bro it was a typo bro. Bro, typo bro. Bro! BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! BRRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
TYPO BROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Holy shit this list was hilarious
Randy Orton needs to be Randy Orton.
Randy needs to turn heel
Stephanie McMahon make it happen steph lol
Lol, can't blame him for spacing out when Roman was cutting a promo, I'd be doing the exact same thing
Who can forget when randy asked sheamus "what is my line" 😂😂😂
#1 is actually my all time fave RKO If I'm having a bad day I go to a video with that RKO and I feel happy again.
Was just thinking about that RKO on Henry the other day.
I'd honestly say the good ones was just randy having fun, with the exception of talking to shane's family
This video is hilarious because I remember seeing most of these when they happened. Orton is hilarious when he goes crazy.
Iron Man Match against John Cena the SICK
That toe tap split was very impressive. He was higher than the top rope.
Seen most of these as they happened with number 1 and number 8 being the ones that stickout in my memory the most.
Modern Randy Orton DOES suck. We need the old Orton back.
I remember watching #1 and thinking "alright, WHO put LSD in his drink backstage?"
you forgot the time when he was talking to cena and ron simmons showed up with his DAMN! and he started laughing
My favorite orton moment is his miracle on 34th streetfight against otunga he genuinely looked like he was having a good time
Oddly I find it interesting that randy can have some fun while looking menacing as heck
What about at the rr17
When Brock clothes lined Enzo , he couldn't keep the smile in
He said his legend killer gimmick was delicious 😂😂😂
New day actually said "you bring a whole new meaning to groupie"
There was a match during Christmas he had where he smacked someone in the head with a cookie sheet after eating a cookie and going "MMM PRETTY GOOD". I cannot remember for the life of me who he was facing but that moment stuck with me for a long time lol
I dont like you cause you dont like orton....
Nice video...no changing my fellings for you and your amazing beard and funny comments you nice sir
Andres Martin now that's , how you give an insult
Orton wasn’t dancing. He was bumpin. There’s a difference
The kofi one isn’t out of character as part of his character is easily getting angry.
When Koffi's entrance had happened late, Orton expressed a moment of frustration to everyone like as if we were all supposed to be upset with him that things weren't going to plan.
Rand Orton is Goat in forgoting he is still live in TV😂😂😂
not funny
Now update this with him laughing about the bobby and Lana moment and also him mocking mandy
Sometimes Randy Orton has been a good guy or a bad guy now he’s a good guy good stuff
Instatly rememeber that RKO to Henry, i'm a fan of Orton and I was like WTF??.
But then everytime he hits and RKO he looks very excited about it, for example that mid-air against Evan Bourne.
He broke character when he hit that insane RKO on Rollins at Wrestlemania
you forgot when he famously said "What's my line" during him and sheamus promo
#1: When Randy Orton was channeling his inner Bas Rutten.
What about the first time he threw the Singh into the table and said, “oops.”
2:00 Wow, that is Matt from Super Best Friends on the right. The one with the sign "PUSH RAGE". That's awesome!
XTheProtagonistX good eyes
Push rage for summerslam
You forgot when Randy was doing a promo with Sheamus and randy forgot his lines and asked sheamus
"Who doesn't love the New Day?"
*raises hand*
✋
Ill never forget Randy eating the hotdogs on the air
Not top 10 material, but Ortons "What's my line" to Sheamus in the middle of the ring is still a hilarious goof.
2:07 - Can't believe this is how it's pretty much been for the past few years (at least)
Bro I remember that moment in the thumbnail... aww man smackdown sucked back then
He did a Gnarly Spinaroonie. ... Classic!!
RKO RKO RKO
He's the reason I started watching back in 2010. First wwe segment I saw was Miz cashing in on him after a Nexus beating. Dindn't know a thing about kayfabe. He's Imo a true legend, like Rock or Austin for people who started watching during the Attitude Era.
Randy is pure greatness, I just wish Vince would book him properly.
Really wish I could see the videos of him breaking character instead of just staring at pictures😂
Maybe Orton was trying to invoke Bas Rutten with that last one
Respect to Orton
This is 2018 and randy is just about to turn heel and it's awesome!!!
15 Likes and 7views! YOU DID IT AGAIN RUclips WELL DONE!
Who cares about that?
That joke's annoying.
ディエゴ 666 I do
Cool
Orton might be in full on zero fucks mode these days, but he still goes out of his way to help out the younger guys and be ridiculously genuine...unlike John "Bury Everyone" Cena
You forgot when he did a promo with Sheamus and he forgot his line so he walked up to Sheamus and asked what his line was.
Hi , if i remember correctly the thing Randy used to wipe off mustard was one of Cena arm-things that he throws in the crowd sometimes
JULES!!! WHATCULTURE GAMING!!
GO BACK TO IT!!!!
Love ya Julesy.
X times Undertaker broke character.... do you accept the challenge?
Jules: I loved Orton back in the day
Didn’t he start watching wrestling like last year
Well in all fairness Randy can be seen trying to tell Kofi to stay down and he's clearly signaling that he shouldn't get up so his anger, while a little overboard, isn't exactly unjustified
8 times Randy's personality came out of nowhere. ;)
Where is the moment when he lost it and tried to shoot slap Mr Kennedy after a botched back drop
