My uncle absolutely hated Bayley until he saw the Ironwoman match against Sasha Banks for the NXT Women's Title at NXT Takeover. She's now one of his favorite female superstars.
That match was great. Rare to actually feel a shred of hope for someone who you know isn’t going to win - but we all did! dumb creative didn’t realise how popular Harper was getting and pushed randy boreton instead because of course they did. What a fucking world title scene that created for the rest of the year 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

No one said Owens wasn't good. The OP said that AJ can have a good match with anyone, but his matches with KO, thus far, have all been disappointing. His matches against Jinder may have been the best of Jinder's career but that doesn't make them good matches... just better than all the other garbage.

miz and ziggler are two wrestlersthat can when given some freedom could make a storyline on par with vince vs stone cold, but only if WWE would put some effort ito their potential feud
AnvilPro100 Ziggler is one of the few people where The Miz has amazing in ring chemistry. Another one is John Morrison. That match Miz vs Morrison falls count everywhere for WWE championship is Miz's best match
Big Show is one of the most underrated and underappreciated wrestlers in history. Not only is he insanely athletic for man his size, he's built a great career without developing a disgusting ego. He'll go from main event'ing a pay-per-view to spending a year jobbing matches to help get over the young guys. And you never hear about him being anything but a super nice guy.
Ethan Wrestling Velveteen dream is a great wrestler and has great charisma...he’s definitely going to go places... (he actually was in Tough Enough but he got eliminated)
I know it’s not a match but the promo that Miz cut on Talking Smack opened my eyes to just how much appreciation he truly deserves. He came across as both a whiny heel but also one with a legitimate gripe with the fans at the same time. How often can a heel pull off both roles so beautifully so that fans want to hate him because he’s belittling Daniel Bryan but also recognize that he does have a point
I knew Ziggler was great way before his classic against Miz at No Mercy. It’s actually depressing to see his booking today, the man is one of the best talker in the business, all his promos are fire. He should go to NJPW or ROH
Yeah, but he just signed a 2 years deal and basically now he is going to job to everyone and will make a good money. Also he will do other thinng outside of WWE, which means he is only in there for the money at this point. I don't blame him, but he could of possibly made the same amount of money on the Indies. I mean Cody Rhodes is making crazy money right now.
Venci cekov I doubt Ziggler would make as much in the indies. Cody makes more now because he was not paid as much in WWE. From what I heard Ziggler is paid nearly $1 million a year. Hard to top that in the indies.
The Big Show impressed me in a match against Kane (when the "May 19th" stuff was going on), and the two actually engaged in some chain wrestling you'd usually see out of wrestlers half their weight.
Is Adam a Default name at what culture ?? My goodness ! You guys are like the rick and Morty of wrestling .. and as good as rick and Morty is .. that’s not a compliment lol CHANGE YOUR NAMES !!!
I can't get over Roman Reigns. I really don't like the hate he gets and he is not the worst wrestler in the world but I can't get into him as a main eventer. I get it: he has improved but guys like Seth and Cesaro don't have to which is my problem with Roman: he isn't as good as people he's with.
That's a fair point. It's not so much a hate for him personally or hate of him getting that spot. Instead, it's the idea that people should already be in that spot, but aren't.
The thing is Reigns gets his spot because he's one of the few that actually bring his style to the table. Cesaro is a great wrestler, but plenty of guys in the current day main roster wrestle a similar style and bring more to the table in other departments. How many brawlers are there on the main roster? Then out of those brawlers how many are as good as Reigns and have been around as long as Reigns. The main event scene would be boring of it only featured guys who were Jericho and Benoit style wrestlers
popetaytv Luke Harper, Orton, Bray Wyatt, Dean a little bit with his watered down hardcore style, Elias, those guys that are in the mid-card because they aren't as good-looking as Reigns.
Adaptive Manipulator nope on those, but it's funny you call them mid carders as if Reigns hasn't been in the midcard away from the title.for over a year. Even funnier you try to paint these guys as being misused because they aren't good looking, yet all of them are former world champs besides Elias who just came around.
I don't like the Roman Reigns character, but I respect Joe Anoa'i because he is a fighter. 11 years after being diagnosed with leukemia, it returned. I wish Joe Anoa'i a speedy recovery. Get well soon, Joe.
Came here to say this. The reason why it was believable that Dolph could lose the match was because he hadn't re-signed, and had expressed his frustrations with how he was booked in WWE. Combining that with The Miz being on absolute fire for his IC run, and you had a lot of people who legitimately did not know if he would be going over Dolph.
Dolph has never had a problem in the ring, he's always been a great worker. The problem is that no matter the role he's always had about as much depth as a kiddie pool.
For me, it was Miz. When he debuted, I thought to myself that he would NEVER get over with me. I don't know what it was but when he started picking up the mic, his ring work started improving, I liked it. It took years, if not a decade but, now I'm a fan of the Miz. Wiith that being said, I think he should have another go at the WWE Championship. Especially now since he's nothing like what he was during WrestleMania XXVII.
I'd like to throw Cena in as an honorable mention for his match with Cesaro on Raw, July 6th, 2015. The one without Kevin Owens interference, the one that got a standing ovation, the one with dueling chants of "LET'S GO CENA," "CE-SA-RO!" I think history's proven putting the U.S. Title on Cena and having him issue open challenges every week was the best booking of the man in years, and that match with Cesaro was masterful.
People talk shit on Miz, but he is definitely one of my favorites in the business today. He's charismatic, he's talented in the ring, and above all else, he works his ass off. He's been clawing his way up to the top for years. I'd say right now he's at the height of his career. Easily one of the best intercontinental champions of all time.
John Cena: Either his WM 22 match against HHH or his Last Man Standing match against Umaga at the Rumble 2007. Both showed that Cena could really wrestle and impressed the hell out of me.
Del Rio in that Last Man Standing match back in around 2012-13 on smackdown. That’s what convinced me Del Rio was fantastic. He pushed the table on top of Big Show as well as putting on a phenomenal show
As long as WWE try to force Reigns down our throats like they are right now, I will not "change my mind" about him. He is an okay wrestler. Maybe just a bit better then that. But even Jinder vs AJ wasn't bad... and we all know that Jinder isn't THE GUY... Everyone has a good match once in a while... they wouldnt be in the WWE if they couldn't do certain things. But he isn't what WWE wants him to be. And until they change him to a more believable persona, I boo him.
Call me crazy but I standby that Cena/Umaga at the Rumble 2007 is a very underrated match and that was where I began to warm up to Cena. Both guys put on an amazing performance, in my opinion. RIP Samoan Bulldozer.
People forget that it was being pushed for months on dirt sheets and news sites that Ziggler was retiring for real before the match was booked so hardcore fans ACTUALLY didn't know
*ECW:* You can't wrestle! Cena busts out great adored wrestling moves *ECW:* Same old shit! Cena does a number of exotic rarely seen moves *ECW:* Change the channel! Cena goes for the complicated submission moves *ECW:* You still suck! There's a difference between being unable to accept something and just being a jerkass and the Internet Hate Machine's "What have you done for me lately?" mentality goes the latter nine out of ten times.
Funnily enough that was not the point being made. Some seemingly have a personal grudge against, say, Ronda Rousey, or Roman Reigns. There was this one guy who hated Trish Stratus to the point I actually asked if she raped her father or something because being upset at some things is one thing, but hoping something fails or wishing death is quite another.
@tsstevens - ECW crowds were cancer. Nothing but backwoods mentality. I genuinely loved it when JBL trolled the fuck out of them during One Night Stand. On the subject of Cena, you are right. No one is claiming he's the best wrestler or best in-ring worker. Because he is definitely not. But the reality is that he is surprisingly good at it when WWE loosens his handcuffs. Of course, he's not a high-flyer or a technical wrestler. So I don't know why some people expect him to perform as such. Even on his debut, they made it clear that he was a "ground and pounder". And he was pretty good at that style in his early days. For example, during his heel days he used to do spine-buster slams and turnbuckle power-bombs a lot more. But those got removed from his moveset after he turned face. And the half-assed back-suplex bomb he now does before the 5-knuckle shuffle used to actually look a bit more like a Blue Thunder Bomb before he started using the FU/AA. And it looked pretty cool too. And to the morons who keep saying his STF-hold is wrong, his first few STFU/STF were actually the proper STF-holds. He was made to modify it because his opponents complained about too much throat restriction due to his huge arms. In fact, his first few FU/AAs were done as a proper sit-out Death Valley Driver, not simply throwing people down from a standing Fireman's Carry.
i dismissed and wrote off Mandy Rose as a "Barbie With Muscle-Tone", until i watched her in the Mixed Match Tournament, in which i was surprised by an improving move-set, great physical acting skills, and above all, her fantastically natural banter game. i love it when pro wrestling proves me wrong.
Sad thing is people don’t want Miz in the hall of fame even though he’s the main reason the intercontinental championship means something in the 2015-2020 era
This has to be the worst wrestling list I have ever seen. What about the miz, velveteen dream, Andrade cien Alma’s, Chris Jericho, John Cena, Daniel Bryan, stone cold Steve Austin, and more. This list was poorly organized
>any match with AJ Styles >changing your mind about his opponent This should be more of a showcase of just how absolutely phenomenal Styles is as he can make his opponents look and seem that good, he's the ultimate professional.
Wow, I never saw that Zigler Vs Miz match and you are 100 % right, that was one of the better matches I have seen in a while. Zig should do that more often
The reason people hate cena is cus he's a role model for kids and it's great for the business and hard-core fans hate it but at least he's better than roman reigns
No people hate cena cuz they find the character of super cena has run its course after 10 years its like when ppl started hating hogan then when he turned heel and joined nwo everyone loved him
Taker was never hated and fans never doubted his ability even during his biker version. And the match with Jeff Hardy changed people's minds of Hardy, that he could hang with the Champions. You wanted comments, there you go.
Top 5 in the company well you are entitled to your opinion although Balor, Styles, Cesaro, Rollins, Zayn, Owens, Orton, Black, Cole? Another unpopular opinion, I can see why he is the face of the company it makes sense really
I konw that it makes sense. But he is just not our guy. He is Rocky Maivia and will allways be(i hope you understand what i mean). Why NXT is so good? Beacause the fans get what they want and even if they don't get it, NXT will compensate in some way. Every wrestler there is good and gets to show what he can do. But when you have so much great tallent and you choose someone just because he looks good, of course people are not gonna like him.
+Venci cekov think of the international audiences , a lot of non white fans really like Reigns as well plus a good number of women and children seem to like him Face it Roman Reigns is a better face of the company then let's say AJ Styles or Finn Balor or Dean Ambrose or whoever
YES Undertaker v. Jeff Hardy is by far the best Jeff singles match imho Jeff was my favorite wrestler as a kid and I vividly remember how much Jeff got over EVEN more in the loss to Undertaker Which hindsight kinda puts thing in perspective as to the whole gatekeeper thing you don’t realize as a seven year old, but I was thrilled amazed and so invested in the idea that Jeff was hanging with Taker. Fantastic match
Considering the title of this video I would have put either the Cena vs punk at summer slam or his rumble match vs styles on this list. Simply because ( and no I'm not a Cena fan) one of the biggest critiques about Cena for years was that he only does about 5-6 moves, those two matches proved he can wrestle when given a great wrestling opponent and that he was willing to help put them over even more so then they already were.
if okada wrestlers omega in wwe it will be a 2-3 star match at most. thats because wwe is so damn bad all except nxt and ruby riot sucked since her main roster debut
Met McIntyre in a hotel wrestling show in Northern Ireland (pro wrestling Ulster) where he fought in a fatal four way (he had 4 titles) I got to speak to him before the event started and got a picture with him. There were at mort 150 people there and seeing him at the top of wwe now is nice to see :)
The match that made me believe in Braun was his Raw match with Big Show. That match was worthy of Mania. When Braun did the twisted arm kip-up sequence my mouth dropped. Quiet as kept Show wrestled probably his best match that night ever too
Honorable mention for me goes to The Rock in his IC Title ladder match against Triple H at SummerSlam '98. Up to that point in time, I wasn't a fan of Rock's in-ring work, but that epic match changed my mind drastically.
Honorable mentions: Hbk vs diesel at Wrestlemania 11 Rock vs triple h at summerslam 98 Austin vs Bret hart at Wrestlemania 13 Hardy boys vs edge and Christian at no mercy 99

No, that's _approximately_ what you said, but with a smidgen of new information. Apologies for repeating myself, though; force of habit.
Aztyph all good, I’m still wondering why this comment was necessary, however.
What culture never really knows what they’re talking about and the guy commenting is a clown
You mean changed YOUR mind. Not our minds
BrawlerWoody do you know how opinions work
Wait... “our minds”?! So you admit to being one of a collective of people who just agree with the herd and are incapable of independent thought?
Mike Fedorovsky Do you? He's obviously saying that the title made it seem like it wasn't an opinion.
+Rodycaz: Indecent aren't we?
KruelAidMan that rodycaz fella needs a hug or something
dolph ziggler deserves to be on the top card
Well to me the night my views changed for dolph ziggler was when in survivor series he fought everyone single handedly
Dolph has never had a problem in the ring, he's always been a great worker. The problem is that no matter the role he's always had about as much depth as a kiddie pool.
1:08
Why does that remind me of Chandler?
Mr beast
For me, it was Miz. When he debuted, I thought to myself that he would NEVER get over with me. I don't know what it was but when he started picking up the mic, his ring work started improving, I liked it. It took years, if not a decade but, now I'm a fan of the Miz. Wiith that being said, I think he should have another go at the WWE Championship. Especially now since he's nothing like what he was during WrestleMania XXVII.
you missed dream vs black i disliked dream until that match
Jaden Mercer Turned me into a fan as well. Good pick.
Jon the Wizard Someone is a fellow fan of Skies Of Arcadia
The early 2000s Lesnar vs Undertaker hell in a cell
People talk shit on Miz, but he is definitely one of my favorites in the business today. He's charismatic, he's talented in the ring, and above all else, he works his ass off. He's been clawing his way up to the top for years. I'd say right now he's at the height of his career. Easily one of the best intercontinental champions of all time.
I honestly love the Miz he’s awesome as a heel and he’s a good wrestler🤟
Psycho Dad jesse if miz was a little better at wrestling and could bring some more hype to his matches he could be one of the best in the world
Iris David that’s true
John Cena: Either his WM 22 match against HHH or his Last Man Standing match against Umaga at the Rumble 2007. Both showed that Cena could really wrestle and impressed the hell out of me.
when braun filpped the ambulance. that was the moment he got over.
When Strowman debuted in 2015, I said give him two years he'll be world champion material. Funnily enough, that's what happened.
"Jeff Harvey" was way over way before the 'Taker ladder match...
Just saying...
ogarstyle that sounds like a tongue twister lol
You know that entry is abou Taker, not about Jeff right?
Filipe RG
Ok...
So...
'Taker was way over way before this match with "Jeff Harvey"...
Proper mate, yes!?!?!
Sounds to me like nobody liked the American Badass
Ummmm okay, some people would like to see that gimmick again but maybe that's just me... I liked it.
I miss videos like this from WC. Where we got videos of variety instead of the "let's see how we can bash WWE" videos of the past year...
I've always loved the Big Show.
Del Rio in that Last Man Standing match back in around 2012-13 on smackdown. That’s what convinced me Del Rio was fantastic. He pushed the table on top of Big Show as well as putting on a phenomenal show
We all have that one whatcultre reporter we prefer not to listen to. Mine is obviously Jules.
Nothing will change my mind that Seth Rollins and Braun stroman and Roman reigns and Brock lesnar are just given opportunities
I stand corrected, Adam has a beautiful dreamy voice woman love and men idolize.
^Posts you will never see again^
People forget that it was being pushed for months on dirt sheets and news sites that Ziggler was retiring for real before the match was booked so hardcore fans ACTUALLY didn't know
*ECW:* You can't wrestle!
Cena busts out great adored wrestling moves
*ECW:* Same old shit!
Cena does a number of exotic rarely seen moves
*ECW:* Change the channel!
Cena goes for the complicated submission moves
*ECW:* You still suck!
There's a difference between being unable to accept something and just being a jerkass and the Internet Hate Machine's "What have you done for me lately?" mentality goes the latter nine out of ten times.
tsstevens Plagiarizing and botching the moves of better wrestlers does not make him good.
nicholas davis True every move has been done by everyone
It didn't change the minds of very many, but Reigns has been putting on great matches for the better part of 2 fucking years so say what you will...
Please do enlighten me because I don't see how most of those people were hated and then proved people wrong.
>any match with AJ Styles
>changing your mind about his opponent
This should be more of a showcase of just how absolutely phenomenal Styles is as he can make his opponents look and seem that good, he's the ultimate professional.
I love wrestling
TMH wrestling loves you to
Rodycaz what. How does anything I said lead me to be a anime watcher
You faaaaawks still watch dis shiiiit
I wrestle love
Wow, I never saw that Zigler Vs Miz match and you are 100 % right, that was one of the better matches I have seen in a while. Zig should do that more often
The reason people hate cena is cus he's a role model for kids and it's great for the business and hard-core fans hate it but at least he's better than roman reigns
No people hate cena cuz they find the character of super cena has run its course after 10 years its like when ppl started hating hogan then when he turned heel and joined nwo everyone loved him
Aashar Amjad I thought they hated Cena becuase he always got the spotlight like Roman does
40 year old boy scout wigger in luminous t-shirts telling people they can't see him.. how the fuck did that ever get over 😑.
You wanna know what hasn't changed my mind about something? This Adam convincing me he isn't annoying and rude.
Nope still hate the miz
Moises _Hernandez kinda the point though. He's a heel who is really good at making people hate him.
Strowman became over during one of his earliest bouts with the Big Show and he did that Kip Up.
I wish you would narrate a video that would help change my mind about you!
Nothing will ever change my mind about The Miz, this guy should first change his face then I will change my mind about him
Henry delivered like may young giving birth to a hand
😤😧😐😑
You know Roman is having a hell of a match when the crowd ignore the fact that the match involves Roman Reigns and they stop booing his every move.
*But what if I don't have an opinion*
Jake Plays Then why are you on the internet lol
Taker was never hated and fans never doubted his ability even during his biker version. And the match with Jeff Hardy changed people's minds of Hardy, that he could hang with the Champions. You wanted comments, there you go.
Unpopular opinion: Roman Reigns is one of the better wrestlers in the business. Happy Rusev Day :)
David Happy Rusev Day to you to
He is good wrestler, but he is not even in top 5 or top 10 in WWE, let alone the world.
+Venci cekov think of the international audiences , a lot of non white fans really like Reigns as well plus a good number of women and children seem to like him
Face it Roman Reigns is a better face of the company then let's say AJ Styles or Finn Balor or Dean Ambrose or whoever
Miz was always awesome. Everyone jumping on the Bandwagon. Ive been a fan since the beginning.
This will never occure to my with Roman Reigns...
YES Undertaker v. Jeff Hardy is by far the best Jeff singles match imho Jeff was my favorite wrestler as a kid and I vividly remember how much Jeff got over EVEN more in the loss to Undertaker
Which hindsight kinda puts thing in perspective as to the whole gatekeeper thing you don’t realize as a seven year old, but I was thrilled amazed and so invested in the idea that Jeff was hanging with Taker. Fantastic match
Dude Tamina is a talented woman. She’s really good in the ring.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA NOPE
Da fuck Tamina is shitty af
You don't watch much wrestling, do you?
Jason Clark I watch RAW and Smackdown every week so shut it “NERD!!!”
Nope. There’s a reason why she’s been in the company for 7 years and still didnt become champion, despite her family
I stand corrected whatculture rules
Let me rewrite that intro: We all have that one Adam that we refuse to believe is any good.......
The Wrestlers I Refuse To Accept:
Ruby Riot
Sonya Deville
Omega/Okada (Mainly because of Meltzer)
Big E
Kevin Owens
No Way Jose
Wrestling Productions I agree with most of those...except Okada/Omega....both those guys could wrestle a broom. Meltzer is sort of a D rider tho
I can agree to that besides KO
if okada wrestlers omega in wwe it will be a 2-3 star match at most. thats because wwe is so damn bad all except nxt and ruby riot sucked since her main roster debut
chet michael Omega got great matches with alot of wrestlers
I agree to these put No Way Jose's theme song is awesome
Loving these videos WhatCulture! Keep it up!
The ABA 'Taker was amazing the theme the violence, sadistic attacks it was undertaker at his best
Miz The best promo worker for almost 15 years now.
God I miss Tyson Kidd.
*The miz vs Cena at wrestlemania 27. In that match miz changed my perception about his skills in ring skills..*
Who the hell didn't like the Dudley Boyz!?!?
Jeff Harry v. Biker Undertaker was a great match. Also Ziggler v. The Miz was one of the rare times I rooted for Ziggler. Both matches were special
How did you bring up Ziggler but not mention Miz? With Dolph, people at least knew he could wrestle, while people thought the Miz couldn't
Honorable mentions:
Hbk vs diesel at Wrestlemania 11
Rock vs triple h at summerslam 98
Austin vs Bret hart at Wrestlemania 13
Hardy boys vs edge and Christian at no mercy 99
It's like gravity works twice as hard against Tamina when she does a top rope splash. Lol
Eva Marie vs Bayley for the title in NXT was low key very good too. Everyone still hated her afterwards, but a good match indeed.
Didn’t Jeff hardy vs undertaker change people’s minds about hardy?
Is was to put him over but most people already were during the hardys dudley boys and edge and christian fued
