    Hello again! Here I come again (a have a couples of minutes!) I did try to find what I did so much about this one of a kind video. I LOVE spontaneous, no or ow editing video when youtuber talk about all they want, or are participing on a challenge, a tag, making a serie from their channel, etc. But this video is a real piece of documentary, or of reference that any newbie or long time passionted about amigurumi can watch and learn from. I loved that ( it show so much!!!😍) you did a lot of reseach, you organised yours subjects and that produc a super well done educational informations, but MORE then that, in each frame, each voice over I could ear the PASSIOn you have for amigurumis, but more specifically on DOLLS. YOU ADORE them.And, I love when people are passionnated, thats one of the thing I love the more see in people. ( I even watch a show on fishing because the French guy, Cyrille, is so dynamic and live fishing everyday of the year!!!)
    On the eyes for amigurumis: I love them so much. Safety eyes, even more kawaii are are so cool, but I have a place only for handmade eyes in my instagram, where I keep all the ones I find, and go search when I need! Handmade eyes that are sew with yarn or embroidery, but also needle felt, cut out felt, draw on cotton, draw with a pen especially for fabric, etc, etc. Sadly, I am still at level one ( 😆), very rarely happy with my sewing, when I cut out felt, I'm pertty good. I also like to sew simple eyes, with 3-4 stitch in black, with and 1 color. Mostly to give a cartoonish style.
    About the hair, I have to admit I 've done maybe 3-4 in over 13 years of amigurumis crocheting!!!! I dont typically do people. I love to look at dolls, not too much to make them! Nobody is putting hair strand by strand anymore ( it was the only way 15 years ago! LOL) I just wanna add that I hope that you areloved making this video, and that you have ideas, and the motivations to do a lot more, cuz I'm already hooked (😝), and by reading the comments, I'm not the only one. I hope you are doing well, feelling good ( and Miko too!🥰) , have a lot of time and fun making a whole univers of dolls and amigurumis😘💞💞💞

      Hi Chantale! LOL @ "couple of minutes", you wrote quite a bit this time 😀. I never thought of it as a documentary, but I guess I could look at it that way. Especially with my deteriorating memory, I could always look back on this and remember what I was thinking and doing😊. Yup, I'm pretty passionate about amigurumi making. Although my family is supportive, they just don't get it when I try to talk to them about it. I end up looking at blank smiley faces, and I know they have no clue why I'm so excited about something🙃 . . . except Miko, she's pretty much a Mini Me❤. Yes, I follow many channels because of their personality and enthusiasm as well. Yes, so many amigurumi eye options. That's another topic I'd love to talk about one day. That's a great idea to keep tabs on those IG posts for reference👍. Yes, I have so much I'd love to share on this channel, but I'm limited to my current skills. But rest assured, I'm learning every day and getting better. It may be slow going, but I know that one day, I'll eventually be comfortable enough to show my true personality on camera. Right now, I'm a bit reserved and camera shy. But believe me, I'm SO NOT LOL! You can ask Caroline😆! I'm so glad that you're interested in this topic even though you're not much of a doll maker. I know Cassandra from Craftably Ever After is the same way . . . not much into doll making, but is interested in this series. So I'm excited😁! We are doing well. It's crazy hot here, but I'm surviving. Miko's having summer vacay in Hawaii with family and friends. She'll be back 10 shades darker with all the outdoor activities she's been up to 😂. Can't wait to have her back, I've missed her dearly❤. I would love to make a whole universe of dolls, that sounds exciting😍! Thanks for taking the time to write. It's been fun chatting, as always 😁. Take care!

    Thank you for this series. Amigurumi hair is something I always struggle with. It can make or break your finished doll.

    • @StitchADeeDooDoll
      @StitchADeeDooDoll  Год назад

      Hi Jodi, I totally hear you. I sometimes buy patterns specifically for the hairstyles that I see in pattern photos. But too many times, I've been disappointed with the lack of instructions/step by step photos, leaving me unable to recreate the hairstyle . . . and THAT's the whole reason I purchased the pattern in the first place. It can definitely be frustrating😭. A doll's hair can definitely make a big difference in a doll's appearance, same as the eyes, or the yarn choices that we make, or their expression, etc. I think that's what makes amigurumi making such a fun and rewarding craft to do. No 2 dolls are alike and they seem to take on a personality of their own once they're all done up. Thanks for watching, and good luck with your hairstyles. Have fun with it!😉❤

I hope you give the pattern a try and I'd love to hear what your thoughts are. I know that dolls are not everyone's cup of tea, but I do find it fun learning different hairstyles that I don't learn with animals. Good luck and happy crochet!😀

      I've tried knitting on multiple occasions but it just doesn't stick. I hope to get into it one of these days. I've bought pattern books for the day when it happens😆. Aww, what a thoughtful hubby. I've been appreciating dk weight yarns lately. Maybe not not as much for the doll bodies, but definitely for the clothing. Sometimes I'll use dk yarn for smaller amigurumis.😀

      Another fantastic video with your amazing dolls. You are the expert! I love it that you are going to do different hairstyles for your dolls.

      Thank you so much GumboGirl13❤! You know, I was only making animal amigurumis for about a year before I even attempted an amigurumi doll. Even then, I was just casually making them here and there. But over time, they started to grow on me and now I'm addicted and here I am😀. I know that amigurumi dolls are not for everyone, but I have grown to love making them and I especially love learning new techniques with different designers' approaches to hairstyles. I'm glad to hear you're inspired. I would love to hear your thoughts on it, once you've made one😉. Happy crocheting!
