My observation is that you can take all the precautions, but if you're staying in a popular campsite, you'll still get visitors. They know the habits of those who didn't take the same precautions as you, so they're absolutely *convinced* that there's something here that you left for them to enjoy. Great memories of being awoken decades ago by a couple of raccoons who were fighting over a very clean pot we'd hung up in a tree to dry.
