  • Another Close Shave! This time at St Mary's Corner, #9 MGB Chris Helliwell and #67 Gordon Russell came together at the apex of St Mary's corner. Luckily I was able to avoid them both but lost several places to the pack that were close behind.

The Lavant Cup was a complete minefield, so glad you were able to negotiate safely through the chaos.

I really like the fact you back out of it when trouble happens in front of you. Its smart racing. So many drivers keep hard on it and leave themselves no room. Silly driving by the car closing the door, could have been way worse.

Whilst it's great to be faster than the person next to you, getting the car home in one piece is always rule number one. The car is at MGB 60 this weekend and I wanted it to look it's best!

Probably a one off opportunity for MGB's to have a race at the revival. Feel for the cars that had trouble or were taken off.

Yes, was certainly a bit of a "one off", whether we get another race remains to be seen!

😮No. 49 (which I see from the entry list is Simon Milner) was taking no prisoners! From the brief glance at the paint job I think that's one of Doug Smith's cars - top bloke, he and Tom prepared my track day (and occasional sprint) MGB GT.

Simon had a great race to finish P10 overall, I was in the wrong place at the wrong time but was lucky to not collect anyone on the way past. You are correct that Simon's car is one of Doug's.
