hr-v base doesn't even have curtain airbags, same as the xforce base. you're paying almost 1.4m and you still don't get proper safety equipment. what a shame.

After watching this, the sonet might be Kia Philippines' saving grace.. Price, looks, tech, safety - mukhang practical bilhin c sonet if you want a smooth 4cylinder subcompact crossover and hate 3 cylinders.

Right out of the gate, the Xforce loses to the Toyota Yaris Cross in price, features, and safety. Mitsubishi should offer aggressive discounts if they want this car to sell.
That's until you see a YC in person. Right off the bat, got immediately turned off after just closing a door of one. It screamed Daihatsu right at the very moment.
Ended with an Xpander, and even got a generous discount. Build quality is miles better, should expect the same here.

Why the Yaris Cross? The lowest spec Corolla Cross is 1.5M and a hybrid. I don't see the point of the Yaris Cross after that.

@@howmonster Yes, but the highest spec non-hybrid Yaris Cross is 1.3M and is a better value than the Xforce. I don't see the point of comparing a hybrid with a non-hybrid.
This will actually be worthwhile when it gets the Xpander Hybrid's powertrain.
Hi end nila ka price na ng Yaris Cross HEV... kaya mag clock ng 15kmpl walwal mode HEV OWNER.
Is it bigger than the new Kia Sonet? Which is significantly cheaper. From what I just watched, it has several obvious advantages; electronic hand break w/ autohold, power tailgate, higher ground clearance and dual zone climate control.
And for me, I actually prefer not having a sunroof.
It’s definitely a good looking modern crossover. Definitely the dealbreaker is that it is under underpowered for the money. There is a lot of competition that gives you a lot more for your hard earned money.

If compare to the raize, it's overpriced but if you come to think of it, against the Yaris Cross, it makes sense. 👌
How could the fuel economy improve with the regular house to office commute? It would be the first time for me to encounter a car that is more fuel efficient in city traffic than in the highway.

They should at least bring down the GLS to only 1.3M since almost same price as Honda HRV S but honda has Safety sense which the FlX force GLS does not have.
not to mention the honda has slightly more powerful engine, the legendary H badge, and the super practical ULTR seats

The truth of the matter is that this car reminds me of a woman in her 70s who insists on getting a full blown plastic surgery to look young, and succeeds to do so but being in her 70s, she just couldn’t manage to walk as gracefully because of her arthritis.

Saw this when I was Indonesia last month. Excited sana kasi it looked good. Pero the price and performance are slightly disappointing. The wheel slip while going up the hill was concerning. Price range nito mas pipiliin mo yaris or corolla cross or an HRV. I might even consider the Sonet which I also first saw sa Bali. That looks more bang for The buck.

From a Montero Sport to Xpander, I can say it still feels better to drive something simple. And as someone who doesn't really need 7 seats, I gladly disagree with this logic.

This seems to look like the all new 2025 Nissan Kicks recently introduced in the New York car show, with of course body modification, a sign of the Nissan Renault Mitsubishi Alliance. But it is well powered at 2.0 ICE with AWD option. It may be released in the Philippines with the EPower technology 3rd generation by later part of 2025🤞 fingers crossed 🙂

Better to choose yaris cross kahit walang turbo may hybrid option naman. Kung di nila nilagyan ng hybrid itong xforce, kahit may turbo sana to compete and more fun to drive.
So i guess people will still pick Sonet on top of all its competitor in the same category. Dahil sa pricing niya.

I love this car so much prior to official launch but given the experience, It seems like Sonet would be a better option if you wanted to save but for the same price go for Yaris cross and if china isn’t an issue and you dont want to spend much then go for chery 5x pro 😅

@@juneldomingo6277 base trim corolla cross hybrid, if you don't mind some missing features and fabric seats the TNGA platform alone makes it worth it, i test drove both the yaris cross hybrid and the corolla cross hybrid the ride quality is significantly better.

Di manlang natuto sa pricing strategy ng chevy trax and trailblazer. Offering stylish cars with good interior and exterior pero ampaw engine specs and pricing = walang sales. Pag ito bumenta asahan nyo di magbabago ng mindset mga legacy manufacturers na yan na binebentahan kayo ng subpar quality ng engine and specs at a premium price porke "legacy" brand nila

Considering where the world is headed and Mitsubishi's current plans, it's likely but not 100% guaranteed. If it were to get electrified, it would most likely be a similar setup to the Xpander HEV e:MOTION, which is a 1.6L NA w/ Electric motor

The steep hill problem is more likely becuse of the Front Engine-Front Wheel Drive layout rather than because of the engine output. The front wheels are visibly slipping if one looks closely. At a climb that steep it is losing grip unfortunately.
Definitely, and you also have to take into consideration not just Engine power output, but also the vehicles traction control system, etc. I don't really understand why so many people are complaining about the XForce having the same 1.5 NA Engine as the Xpander, but really, I would say based on the many reviews I've watched (including reviews from ID) that it has enough power to make it up at full capacity, maybe not with the greatest of ease, but it will make it up. Take a look at some reviews in Indonesia for example, I've seen one where they did an uphill test with the Xpander, Xpander Cross, and XForce at Full capacity, and it made it up. You also gotta take into consideration the driver as well, since in scenarios like that, you wanna be able to take a good line since a part of that turn seems to be steeper than the other side of the turn if you can understand where I'm getting at.
@@MochizukiYuusei of course kaya ang uphill, coz the CVT has enough gear ratio to do it. parang winch lang yan, it's such a small device but can pull your car coz the gear ratio gives a lot of mechanical advantage. yung lack of engine power is more apparent when overtaking

May review nyan against HRV S (honda city engine) at Hyundai Creta sa ibang bansa. Iwan na iwan sa power and acceleration sa dalawa yang XForce. Si Creta ang most powerful sa kanilang tatlo. I think XForce's engine & tranny are more tuned for efficiency kasi matipid sya sa fuel at smooth ibyahe.

Yes. Had experienced this when we rented one. We have a hybrid yaris cross which feels like a sports car compared to the xpander.

It looks good but lacks some exterior and interior features and the engine is not so powerful. I think I would rather buy a Ford Territory Titanium X which is in the same price range as their top-of-the-line.

At this price, the Emkoo or the Yaris Cross V are better options. If you’re patient, wait for the Hyundai Creta 2025 facelift. It’s already in the Indian markets
HUGE MISS By Mitsubishi is the powertrain for the TOTL model. All of the competitors from Korea and Japan are either Hybird or TurboCharged. Kia Seltos, Toyota Yaris Cross, Honda HRV, and Nissan Kicks. Imagine paying 1.6M for a 1.5 NA engine well it is reliable.
Hybrid batteries are so expensive to replace 😂 Are you willing to spend 300,000 Pesos to replace those batteries?😂
HRV isn't a threat anymore as Honda dealers don't stock too much units anymore due to very low demand and poor sales (60 units a month) 😂

Won't be profitable. They will eventually release the hybrid for it I think but I hope its not too late.

This is why a 1.5 non-turbo engine is proper on a 5-seater, not a 7-seater.

@@observer950 Point is, 1.5 should never be on a 7-seater, unless its turbo. If this can barely climb that slope in the video with 4 people, I doubt Xpander can make it even without passenger. 1.1M is a fair price for a crap 1.5L 7-seater car.
*Edit. I realized this low power configuration is suited for developing countries.
1.5NA engine is only good for a subcompact sedan/hatch, something like a honda city which is already not fast (10 seconds to go from zero to 100). anything bigger/heavier will be really sluggish
@@jaredgalvin trust me, even a 20 year old CD5 or a festiva can climbed that hill with loaded passenger for only 25k for the price.
If it’s a CVT mated in a gas engine, then it ain’t for me. It’s noisy upon acceleration and has this annoying rubber band effect. I would rather go manual, traditional automatic and definitely turbocharge diesel. I love that low end torque, the pulling power and fuel efficiency.
Better buy a Mazda CX-3 or 3 Hatch for that price, have 6-speed tranny and have powerful and playful engines

This is only good for city and highway cruise. For the price, you can get a lot from other brands even bigger car than this and well spec. Totl should be just priced the same as the xpander cross. Nothing special on this , pinoys looking for the sulit option as always.
