Love this video. Miss seeing all them EMDs on most trains back then growing up. Love the way they sound and music to my ears. My opinion scrap all the GE garbage and bring back the EMDs. Enjoyed watching once again and have a wonderful rest of your Tuesday. Steve
I was in Northtown Yard yesterday, saw that they had two war bonnets on the hump yard and two just switching south of them. Love Northtown and the Minneapolis area
Thanks for the video. I only have EMDs on my (UK) HO Layout - no GEs. My only non-Standard Cab is a PRLX Executive SD70MAC. I hope all the others shown on 'that line' are going to be saved - one way or another?
Nice video. You mention @ 2:25 that 2 H1 Geeps were leading the train. I'm not familiar with BNSF rebuilds. They look like GP 38. What is the upgrade to the units? Thanks!
BN is selling off most of their MAC fleet according to our CMO who visited a couple of weeks ago. Not sure if the executive ones will go, but he told us they are definitely being sold off.
That’s the rumor yes but a lot of them are also being reactivated right now. Dozens of macs and dash 9s have been placed back into service as bnsf is expecting a massive grain season this year and they are saying we have a power shortage.
As,always superb video I truly enjoy them the close up of the locomotives are nice shots.
could listen to emd noises all day
You and me both!! :D
Awesome Video. I'm a HUGE EMD FAN!🫡📸
Miss that classic power
Another nice clip and your narration is 1st class. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it, and thank you for the kind words. This was a fun video to make!
Considering I caught 2822 and 2319 on a Grand Forks to Argyle local, it’s very befitting.
Always nice to see a bunch a old guys like these ;) Pretty good video Douglas 👍
Its always a treat to see older power like this out on the mainline! Appreciate the kind words on the video.

Glad you enjoyed it, and I too love the sound of EMDs humming away. :D
@@SD457500 you're very welcome and yes indeed for sure.

LOTS of former Santa Fe power has made its way to NTW. They recieved a number additional former ATSF units the other day.
@@SD457500 I was wondering why so many were around, really awesome that they are coming up here.
@@minnesotarailfan11 Going into RCO and Hump service. :/
@@SD457500 well at least they are still around and not getting torched up.

Lovely footage, as always! (Could you please post some shaky/blurred footage just to make us ‘normies’ feel a bit better? 😊

That they have been! I know a few of the older MACs were purged last year, and a number of those were even cut up. :/
