I have the same model, same colour ,without the spoiler, and the interior is a different colour. 18500 mls .I do need a new central locking / immobilser unit which i am struggling to find. Cant see myself getting rid of it anytime soon.
That’s a gorgeous 960 esp with the spoiler. I’m a third owner of a 96 960 94k miles now 114k. Car is so smooth and very insulated . When I want to listen to my CD’s I drive it long distance. But when I want to feel the road talk to me I drive my 92 240 with over 400k miles . They both put smile on my face each time. 😂
I have a 960 auto 1996 in purple. It sat around with the last owner for 5 years. We used a jump pack and it started straight away. From that moment I knew I’d bought a winner! 175k on the clock and still going strong. The self levelling suspension needs some attention if anyone knows anyone good and reasonable.
I have the car you would buy if the world went mad ...the 940 estate... good choice indeed ! Even though I,m a big estate fan ! That 960 saloon is bloody gorgeous !
Great video. Thanks for posting. I have a 1992 Volvo 960 here in Montreal, Canada that has never seen winter and has been garaged its entire life. As you know, many early 960s went to the grave because of the very weak/undersized timing belt system. The best modification I ever did to the car is I modified the timing belt system to that of the 1997 Volvo 850. Love this car!
I knew the early 960s suffered problems - I had 'head issues' in my mind but didn't realise it was timing belt related. Was it only 1990/91 cars affected or did the problem last longer?

It’s definitely a keeper, make sure to join the Volvo owners club. Simon posts some useful information on there for 960 owners
@@ArmaganDemiral Thanks very much, I will do.

I like the extra chrome trim he but on the boot lid. Wonder where it´s from. (sorry if I missed it in the video)
Engineerd to perfection. love this car
Lots of these 960s are in superb condition.
This example in the video is immaculate and I don’t say that often
Just bought a 96' 960 2.5 CD on 57k miles. One owner, sadly deceased. Full Volvo service history. 25 stamps. He loved that vehicle
@@markfrankham1 wow, I can’t believe how well he has looked after that vehicle. Something you very rarely see
