Picked up one of these June last year for a bargain price of £1000. Have loved it ever since. Like driving around in an armchair. Exactly the same spec as this one too.
These are exceptional cars. This one will be even better when the rear suspension is replaced! Thank you ever so much indeed for watching and commenting.
Smashing video Joseph, nice to see Mr. Coleman with another V90. Makes me miss my 960. I need to stop messing about with the diesels and get it back on the road! Would be interesting to see the 45 page options booklet, do you know if it is available online anywhere?
Sir, we cannot discuss such things, can we? We can, however, discuss Mr Coleman's latest purchase. You will have to ask him if he has the option book for a facelifted 960.
Hi Joseph what a great Volvo I have owned three Volvo Estates my first was 121 Amazon then I had a 240 and my last one was a 245 all great cars and reliable and comfortable to drive thanks for the video best regards Andy Allen
Yes, all sorts of classic Volvos with the red block OHV and OHC engines. It was cars like those that gave the company the solid reputation they continue to enjoy.
Yes, it is a very nice car, even better than Mr Coleman's previous 960. I don't like the droopy door handles on the inside, and I would prefer a beige leather interior, but apart from that....
Someone just down the road from me has one of these as a stable mate for his mk3 firebird. Both looked lovely and as H.G. Wells Martians did with earth, I regard them with envious eyes.
An amazing car! One of the best motors I’ve ever driven - a former boss had a brand new one - I’d look for any excuse to borrow it. The engine was superb, lusty, flexible, but very smooth. For a large estate car it handled really well - you could really hustle it along. Sport mode on the automatic ‘box made it very swift. It also had a wonderful, comfortable and well built interior. I have looked at buying one as a daily driver, but I think they’ll be difficult to source parts for, and rather thirsty!
Yes, not the most economical car, but parts availability seems reasonable OK, considering how rare they are. The engine is one of the best things about these, along with the handling.
The Bee's Knees is just about the perfect adjective for this Edition Luxury V90 Sir. Mercedes Benz came very close but no other Manufacturer Outside of the USA came close to equalling or bettering a Volvo 960 or V90 Estate. Top of the Class in every possible department. Good Health to enjoy her Mr Coleman.
Absolutely stunning car, Mr Lloyd, and a great review. I have a sneaking suspicion that you would like one of these in Olive Green Pearl with Beige leather interior.
@lloydvehicleconsulting I'm sure you've seen the one on a popular Internet site in your specification for 1200 but it's a fixer upper but 62k genuine miles.
A good solid RWD Joseph. Did I notice a 3 gear Borg Warner ? Not the most economical vehicle to run I fear. Ideal for a low mileage runabout if you can afford the road tax.
I'd imagine parts availability would be an issue. I just scrapped off my 2005 S80 D5 SE Lux manual (saloon) because I needed an automatic due to a disability, and also many parts had to be sourced direct from Volvo in Sweden. In fact I never did get a replacement for the in-car entertainment system (HU850) despite searching extensively through dealerships, eBay and even an email direct to Volvo in Gothenburg. I'm sad at letting it go because it was quiet, comfortable and economical (something which the replacement definitely isn't).
Well, I drove a Mark I S80 earlier this year. It was very comfortable indeed. I don't think things like the radio exist new any more, sadly... A placement unit would have to come from somewhere like Ebay secondhand, I imagine. Parts availability on this one seems OK as far as I understand it.
What a glorious car sir! The colemans have very good taste. Been looking here already but just not available much here. This has really given me Wagon ( estate bug again ) Suits you Sir 🫡

I would like one myself. I'll keep looking. Had a 940GLE for many years!
They are not common any more, but they are extremely lovely!

What a glorious machine this is. 😍 I rather like the wood trim contrasting against the dashboard and door cards.

Good Evening Sir!! That is definitely a „I want one“ moment 😊😊
Sir, Mr Coleman liked it so much that he bought it...
Glad you enjoyed you're drive sir.
Mr Coleman, it is one of my favourites of the year so far! Thank you again, sir.
Someone just down the road from me has one of these as a stable mate for his mk3 firebird. Both looked lovely and as H.G. Wells Martians did with earth, I regard them with envious eyes.
My lady wife and I are very fond of the musical version of War of the Worlds, sir.
@@lloydvehicleconsulting Better than any of the visual adaptations by a country mile.
It's absolutely amazing!
It does make a lovely sound, sir. Takes me back to my P1 v70...plastics not the best in those and were greatly improved in the p2s.
The P2 cars did probably have better quality plastics, but these are still quite good. The straight six white blocks do make a fantastic noise!

An excellent review Sir and Mr Coleman's Volvo is a Beauty, i need a Volvo in my life again, but I have bought a new Fleet member....
Sir, can we discuss said new arrival this time?
@@lloydvehicleconsulting we can indeed as is not a forbidden fuel at all.
Well done, Mr Watters!

Sir, we did enjoy this V90 Edition Luxury very much.... The contemporary E-Class was a bit more modern, but we prefer this, don't we?
😅

Sir, it would be a saloon for me, but you are probably correct.
@lloydvehicleconsulting

Not allowed any more cars at the moment, sir.
A passenger airbag was optional on the 900 Series. It was also on the 850 and S/V70.
I don't think that I have ever seen one of these with the passenger airbag, so it must have been a very rare option.
@@lloydvehicleconsultingMore rare on the 940. Never seen a UK one of those with it optioned.
No, neither have I.

I don't believe that it is a three speed in this, it's definitely a four speed. Glad you enjoyed the video, sir! Mr Coleman loves it.
@@lloydvehicleconsulting I stand corrected👍
I am afraid, sir, that when it comes to Volvos...
Just bought a nice dark green one ,needs a little tlc but just lovely car.
I had the privilege of borrowing this for a few days earlier this month. It was fantastic! Thank you ever so much indeed for watching and commenting.

R.I.P. Volvo. No more estates and the last ICE car has left the production line 🤬
Sir, we can always drive things like this instead, though, can't we?
@@lloydvehicleconsultingAnd Volvo does a U Turn and will make estates again.
Volvo for life
It's a lovely Volvo, isn't it?
@@lloydvehicleconsulting it most certainly is
Ooohhhhh indeed!
We enjoyed it very much, sir, didn't we?
@@lloydvehicleconsulting we did indeed. Can’t beat a Swedish brick!
Mr Coleman now owns this and a 940!
Porsche development 3 litre engine.
Yes, I believe so!

Yes, the 960/V90 Mark I is a rare car. Mr Coleman and his brother did well to find this one. Thank you again for watching and commenting, sir!
Messers Coleman had more luck than I in finding one! I'll keep on looking
