First, thank you for introducing me to magic loops and to Fireline from your previous video. Now, thank you again, this time for showing how to make a better knot. I was doing an overhand knot followed by a square knot, but the square knot makes my ends spread apart, so all my loops look like they have tiny bunny ears, and the knot came apart when I used it with the #4 Fireline. I'm off to make some new loops using your method. I really dislike having to sew in my ends, so these magic loops are the best thing ever! Thanks for another helpful video.
Hi Marcia, I use 4lb and 6lb Fireline because I happen to have both for my beading projects but if I were getting just one, I think I'd go for 6lb as it's a bit thicker. Other strong beading-type threads might work too if you have something else at home.
hello i love your vidio's, and i have a question about a piece of a pattern of you. this one : R3+4-1-4-3 it is from the maple leaf pattern i just started like yesterday, so i know that R stands for ring and than 3 for how many dubble stisches in it. and that - stans for a picot, but what does the + stand for?
The 2nd knot is called a surgeon’s knot. Thank you so much for showing this!!
Great to know! Thanks Kathleen. :-)

Hello Evelyn, the + stands for "join". So you would tat three stitches, join as indicated in pattern, then carry on with the stitches in your ring.
@@11Frivole thank you very much
