Many thanks great teacher,, Could you please continue the other tenses (present perfect continuous, past perfect, past perfect continuous and future tenses)
Rebecca is a great English teacher. She's kind of an English authority or expert and hence it's mandatory for students to benefit from her vast knowledge in English. Viva teacher Rebecca!
Let me be frank I have tried many lessons on youtube to advance my English grammar, but I never came across anyone who is better than ms. Rebecca. she is my favorite teacher.
i have been struggling with the use of past simple and present perfect since i started to learn english, i have watched many youtube videos but i couldn't understand the difference. And this is the clearest explaination i have ever heard.
Believe it or not - I`ve been studying English from 1-st grade and somehow managed to get through all the tests/exams and never truly figuring out what are the differences between these two tenses. I know this is ridiculous, but this is true. I`m immensely grateful to you for parsing out the minutiae and taking the time to explain it. I have to be honest, I feel confused a bit, since I basically have to forget all the info that I have learned through the years and learn these simple things de novo. Again, big thanks for your work!
Rebecca is a brilliant and concise teacher. I'm 65 year old man raising two 8 and 10 year old boys on my own. I've lived in this country for 40 years and still like to learn these tenses because I have to teach my kids the difference between these two tenses and ways to use them correctly.
I have been watching a multiple videos about the simple past and the present perfect. and the difference between them, this is the best video i have watched , i find myself understood everything you explain. i coudn't be more thankful than ever. this video is literally the only thing i need to pass my exam
After over 40 years, I finally learned the difference between these two things. One of the things I love about life is that you keep learning no matter your age. As the saying goes, experience is my best teacher, but Rebecca is my best English teacher. Thank you so much, Teacher Rebecca,
Hello, our lovely teacher Mrs. Rebecca, after my time period ın the school, 1970-1972, I have already begun to learn English again before a year in May/2021. You have given me the courage to learn English again. Therefore I love you very much, Before I met you on the internet I haven't had any hope to learn English again. now I am 66 years old, and fortunately, I can learn English from different English teachers on the internet. You are surely one of the best English teachers in the world. I thank you thousand times. I send you my lovely greetings. Orhan Baki from İstanbul.
Rebecca you are the best!!!! Thanks a lot for sharing your knowledge and also your clearly methodology. I've been trying to learn about this specific English tense many times without success. But nowadays I fell more confident to use it due to your brilliant explanation .
What a great way to get a free English language class. Thank you 🙏 🙏😘😘. I was in my school for almost 10 years. We had English language class every day, even couple of times, I took the English language tutore and never understood this much. But now, I have been watching Rabicca English class for 2 months and I learned English more than my high school 10 years. Thank you so much for your help. Appreciate

I’ve found this marvelous channel recently and it’s been helping me a lot! I’ve never watched a class about present perfect so good like this one. Thank you very much!
I have been watching multiple videos about past simple and present perfect and the differences between them, so far this is the best video I've watched. Thank you Mrs Rebecca.
This is very a helpful lesson. I've learned a lot. Thank you so much Rebecca for this step by step in learning English tenses. I'm so happy that I found your lessons. Love it!
I looked for English lessons here on youtube to understand the difference between the past simple and the present perfect. But, I've never seen anything like this lesson! Now it's clear in my mind! Thank you for help!
Today is 5 Sept ,we celebrate teacher's day in India on every 5 September , so happy teacher's day . 🙏🙏.. the way of explanation is unmatchable , thanks mam's
Wow! I enjoyed this lesson, and it has lessened my writing insecurity. This past simple and present simple has been a headache when I write. Thank you for making this easier for all these people who maybe have been struggling with it. For example, when did you get this job, and how long have you had this job are the perfect examples.
OMG thank you for making me realize that all this time I have been doing it wrong! This is just wonderful! Thank you for a clear explanation about present perfect tense!
Great and very informative lesson! Thank you, teacher Rebecca because I have known a lot from you. Keep sharing your knowledge in English grammar. You are one of my favorite teachers in the Engvid channel. Keep safe and stay at home.
Today at class we correct the quiz of past simple and present perfect and it was one sentence that i must put the correct tense in : Since I (came) here, I (study) in this school. I put both of the verbs in present perfect cause they're two actions unfinished and we have the key since. But the teacher tell us that the first verb must be in past simple , I'm confused now which is correct and why? Thank you for the explanation.
Well, you came in the past, and it's a finished action, but you are still studying in this school, this is why study should be in present perfect.(as far as I understood)
Like football? Please take a look at my channel... my latest video is about the same topic (past simple v present perfect) but I use Pele, Ronaldo, Messi and Maradona as examples.

Hi, If I may add some input.. firstly, I am a New Yorker living in Berlin & understand somewhat the struggles of learning an extra language or two. I have a lot of respect for all of you and am amazed at how well you write. You may be wondering, why is he watching this? Well, it helps me learn grammar not only in general, but it lets me "translate" concepts into, say German.. where verb tenses are handled differently. Not always - but enough to confound at times. Now specifically, this topic on which sentence is correct, either 'she explained the lesson' or 'she has explained the lesson', is fascinating! I initially thought "she explained it well" is correct - as the lesson is over.. she has finished teaching. BUT If you were to react right after watching, you could say "she has explained it well..." The lesson is done - no doubt - but the effects of it still resonate with me.. so in that case, it is (mentally/spiritually) continuing! Wow - this is difficult - I guess there is no incorrect answer - but the meaning is a little different. I don't know if any of you find this explanation at all helpful. No matter, though; keep up the good work!
You’ve put your finger on it, sir. That’s exactly what seems to be a stumbling block for so many of my Russian students when it comes to PP😊 It is confusing! It just bloody is😅
I watched many lessons from other teachers, but your lessons are the best . The way you present the lessons keeps the viewers interested as well as concentrated. So thanks for your work and remain present for us.
