This is so old that I was still thinking that we had an RAF that was of use to the country, but it is not a surprise (so far) to see that the focus was on the Aircrew and especially the female crew members.
@@colinfletcher7629Actually yes I do realise that, I should after serving for 24 years, many of those years on the Support Helicopter force (SH), Puma and Chinook, and yes I am sometimes bitter and twisted about the lack of recognition that the engineers get/got, because it is the engineers that directly keep them flying. Additionally I wonder why women want equality and to be the focus of attention at the same time, that is not equality in my opinion. Ok auld boy. TTFN, Per Ardua Ad Astra.
@@allandavis8201I spent 12 years at Odiham when both puma and Chinooks were based there. The Air Force has always aimed the focus at the air crew and aircraft but never those that keep all of the aircraft in the air.
@@Mountianlions69 , Likewise, I spent the last portion of my service on 27 Sqn and then over to 18 Sqn, I was a Rigger, SNCO I/C of the Scheduled Maintenance team, although I did get away from the icebox regularly, usually up north and a couple of nice jollies to France, Austria and Slovakia, best years of my service, but not once did I know of any groundcrew getting any of the praise and recognition they deserved.
Just noticed these videos today there brilliant showing different sides to our military
