Quite the surprise this tank had to compete vs Iron Arnie... there's a massive difference between them although now it feels quite better. The tier 9 is great but the tier 8 is kind of average.

I feel the Pershing has been made much more effective with this buff, the DPM change is huge. Also, not mentioned in the video is the great view range - I often seem to get spotting damage from random tanks other people are damaging. The lack of armor remains a concern - tier 6 tanks can easily pen. Overall, as long as you shoot plenty of gold the tank now seems to work ok.
WGs new selling tactic, standard shells slow as eff, premium shells 1200+m/s.
Result, more prem spam.
Would be nice to include comment section about tanks, some of the best answers came from discussing people on reddit tbh. Like my first heavy at the time at t10 supposed to be S.Conq and i didnt wanted to spend so much on him when on paper tier 9 is almost the same tank :D but i talked with people and it was really fun to agree with them when i finally got it and put some games into it.
Nice buff of the gun.. now if they would only do it to my IS-6.. SKIEEEELZ!!!!
In a world with BZ and other insanely broken tanks in every game, no 240 alpha damage and paper armour medium will ever be competetive

This tank remains as one of, if not the most, painful grinds I ever did, and it absolutely was all in the gun. The gun-handling was just horrendous. In the end I just gave up and went full gold spam. If it's now better, that's nice, but as far I am concerned, drive it off the nearest sea side cliff and let Davy Jones keep the blasted thing...

Had an awful time grinding up the american med tech tree to get the M48 Patton all bc of this tank.
Worst of all, had to grind it again this year going up the tech tree to get to the Heavy autoloader.
(EDIT: Had to purchase the T20 to get to the T57 Heavy, not the Pershing, but the T20 is almost the same nevertheless)
I absolutely despise the pershing.
I even recommended this tank to tragicloss once while she was asking for a tank to play next, she read my message abd without any hesitation she answered "No", lol
@@Lupo-Exulans For me it was not great, but PanterII, Caern, T69 (before buffs) and later TVP and CS53 were true hell. And Leopard PTA with 5deg gun depression, awful gun handling, and 8.6s reload or so.

@@pavelperina7629 I remember the Leo PTA with the stock gun, it was a bad experience but not even near the pershing in my opinion.
If it weren't for the X5 experience bonuses, I'd still be stuck with the pershing.

imo, the pershing's biggest weakness has (had) always been its *blinding* lack of standard pen (i am against gold by principle: at my skill level it is more cost-effective to lose with standard ammo)
imagine my surprise when i reinstalled to play mirny-13 and saw it have a perfectly fine 212
I always referred to this tank as the "Perishing" because I could have stellar games, it's so rare I'd actually survive the end of the match.
Beautiful tank, now even better. My first tier VIII 3rd Mark tank.
It was my first tier 8 (2nd was T69) and I didn't like it. T20 had great view range and camo so it was T21 with Hellcat's gun.
Pershing had better gun handling and penetration. But standard penetration was not good enough to go through some heavy tanks upper
plates (IS3, IS8, T32, Caern) and lower plates of tier 9s (E75, VK-B) and even some mediums (Type59). By that time I used gold ammo rarely and economy of gold
ammo on 240 alpha tank is awful compared to tier 9s. And when I finally bought Patton (thinking tier 8 is too hard for me), it was suddenly awesome.
Great agility, great DPM, higher alpha and some features to avoid taking hits.
After buffs, Pershing has great DPM, agility can be improved by turbo/exp.mobility and it has superior gold shell penetration to Patton (which has the same as T20 at 500m).
Suddenly, just like Patton it suits my play style and I like it. It's not as fun as Kpz07RH, but ability to survive is surprisingly better, despite it cant always escape.
Now do the 59-Patton. I scored that in a loot box and it has a massive cupola that attracts shells like nobody's business.
Never used to be very accurate before the buff but it worked better for me than the tier 9 Patton. I dread the 105 on that tank.

I just marked my Pershing in 75 games, was pretty enjoyable
When you think about how huge a tank is, then see the size of the factory doors in Pilsen compared to a Pershing and randomly wonder WTF they were making in there. 😮

I can't even remember how long ago I played this tank. It's certainly been well before or around 2014. I know it's been a while when I have the sniper medal in it lol. Now do these buffs make me want to play it again? Not really, I don't even have it anymore. Definitely good buffs for it but I'll leave it for other people to try out.

That's interesting. The Super Pershing is much easier to play because it has armor, and can even play as a heavy sometimes. Also, it makes lots of credits which helps to pay for all the gold the regular Pershing has to shoot. I think they're actually quite different in play-style so hard to compare.
Meanwhile, tier 9 Patton m46 still has 218 pen with standard ammo with 950m/s shell velocity, so you need to spam full gold 😢

For so many years and videos, you dont have one battle where you face enemy, to outplay openents without before that they destroy your team mates, there is no surprise that you always camp. I have this ugly way of playing.

@@peaksofblue He is quiet about the bad things in the game, he is showing just the good stuff. Show me, where is some video from Skill about bad maps, about bad MM etc. Where is video about this stuff?
@@befuriousDK no he’s not avoiding any of it. He states them plainly, actually. He actually has standards and doesn’t let it overwhelm enjoyment of the game, that’s all.
Making drama about negative crap is very popular these days on social media. Skill has done it too, but he’s grown past that phase, for the most part.
Asking him to be more critical of something he loves and wakes up excited for daily… Don’t hate the player, hate the game. We all choose to express ourselves differently. Just because he can still enjoy & entertain, doesn’t mean that everything else is ignored… it’s just water under the bridge if we’re having a good time.
It’s a different style of entertainment. I get that you don’t like what skill can’t change…

For me buff is noticable and tank definitely become better, cant say same about liberte :/
