Jarcher isn’t great but putting her under Semiramis is wild. She’s still a usable looper when counterclassing and Durga isn’t coming out for a good while (she also isn’t good enough to warrant going all in on if you have an NP2 or higher Jarcher). Also, while Zenobia is permanent she’s not exactly easy to get multiple copies of unless you’re specifically aiming for her (I’m a dolphin who has yet to get even a single one) so Jarcher can still see use until then. Edit: I’d also put Ivan higher but there’s some personal bias
Totally agree. But I think the problem with Jarcher is she lacks damage tho she overly generates np gauge. I tend to use her second skill for dmg instead of np fill. Then again I rather stick with her that plan to roll for Durga since mine is atleast np2.
I agree that Jarcher is better than Semiramis, but there are way more AOE Archers than the amount of decent AOE Assassins. And as Fino said, Zenobia is in the tutorial roll, so new players can reroll to get her.

Being a Kiara superfan and hearing that she's in the middle of the pack is both disheartening and a relief that I have her at NP5 fully maxed. Sure, she doesn't clear things on lower turn counts. But when it comes to consistency and survival, Kiara can easily take down a huge amount of CQs and boss fights
looking over this just reinforced how underwhelming a lot of the EoR era units were. Was tempted to roll but after thinking over the actual servants on offer and that they're all in one pool, it's a pretty poor prospect
9:54 the biggest advantage of Summer BB is that she's an essential part of the super fun Ciel/Aoko gimmick team. While this team is not very flexible, an invested Aoko can farm anything up to 90+, and I can confirm that since that's all I've been using ever since Ciel came out. Why waste time using nps when you can just AOE buster crit your way to victory?
I got NP2 Hokusai, but I really wanted Sherlock. An obnoxious amount of CQ comps require him. Back to Hokusai, I really hope her recent JP HP buff makes her good because she's been an undertuned potato for years. I felt lied to when I got her many years ago. All those RUclips videos showcasing Hokusai made her seem really good and fun to use. It was anything but that.
Hokusai's NP buff spiked her damage to cosmic levels and made her looping much more consistent, pair this with her Arts-loving playstyle and critting and she snowballs good through the fight. Not the best of the repertoire still but a far cry from what she was before, building up to a really good NP compared to a potato one as an Arts servant really does make a difference.
I disagree that Hokusai is the is the problem. Generally, she has a fairly cohesive kit for an attacker, with a battery, steroid, and hard mitigation. Cooldowns are longer than they really should be, but I'd say her fundamentals are generally pretty alright. Over the years, I've put her through a lot of situations and she still got the job done. The problem, imo, was actually the foreigner class. They originally honed in on the anti berserker stuff so much, and decided that made them op enough because "oh look they counter berserkers, one of the most dangerous classes in the game". That's why early foreigners seemed to underperform against anything else. Their niche WAS their class advantage. When you consider that, base Hokusai seems a lot more acceptable. Ofc now, extra class loopers have completely gone out of control so...
I also love how Summer BB has the passive skill that foreigners have, letting her get that juicy Van Gogh extra crit buff, and with the JP append additions can finally loop in a traditional set up with a meaty NP dmg buff.
As someone with an NP1 Hijikata I will say that he has one stellar use. Easy raid kills. Before I got my own Kintoki he was my go to zerk, buffed np, good self buffs, and chen gong synergy meant that he could easily demolish even the highest hp tier raid. Unfortunately for next years Guda Guda he gets his battery conveniently AFTER the raid series end but does kind of push him over the edge and a bit closer to Kintoki imo. That said his enmity gimmick is weird and while it lets him push comically high damage you are wasting 2 slots on chen gong and a scope to get the most mileage out of him. Maybe in the future they'll buff one of his skills to add a huge self demerit that eats his hp and gives him np damage up or something.

The only argument in this video that I hear for why Jarcher is number 19 below Semiramis is that she gets outclassed because of her potato damage, but until Semiramis gets buffed (and depending on her buff), I would much rather get Jarcher than Semiramis by a large margin regardless of what level of development my account is at. Being outclassed on its own is a bad argument for why a servant is bad. If my account is weak/new, Jarcher is ok for me to use with Xufu with Castoria support, whereas Semiramis will be actually useless. If my account is mid-development, both are bad, but I would much rather have Jarcher if I still don't have an arts looper for some reason (Durga isn't out yet for awhile, and Xenobia isn't easy to get copies of), and Semiramis is only worth considering in a small fraction of fights. If my account is developed, both are bad, flat out, unless I already have Jarcher NP3/4, in which case getting another copy of Jarcher is actually pretty good. At all levels of account development, Jarcher is better than Semiramis, or at least equal. Edit: As an aside, I'm of the opinion that the only true L in this pool is Semiramis, every other servant is either good or at least fun to try and make work like Hijikata. Even Maid Alter is better, even if she is objectively worse, because she can actually be fun to try to use and make work. What does Semiramis even do other than purge resist? Her only good mechanic is that she can ignore a mechanic that is honestly kinda rare? And even if you do manage to use her purge resist properly, she's borderline dead weight for the rest of the fight (not actually 100% dead weight though because of her defense buffs on NP, but her NP is buster so you can't even spam it easily).
They both kinda suck so arguing about this is kinda pointless, but Semiramis has an upgraded NP and Jarcher doesn't. Summer servants doesn't get upgraded as much as normal servants either (possibly because Interludes go to the normal version of the servant) so that's unlikely to change. Your argument is basically that Arts is better than Buster, and I agree. I just don't see that making Jarcher so much better than Semiramis that it's worth arguing about. However, you seem to be really undervaluing purge resist. She is one of only 4.5 servants with AOE purge resist (Arcueid's is Good only). Trung Sisters and Murasaki have a 1 time 3 turns deal, while Semi and Beni-Enma have just 1 turn without a times restriction. She is the ONLY source of purge resist on an NP, thus a theoretically spammable purge resist. She could also theoretically be a part of the Immortal Team for fights that remove buffs a lot (alongside Castoria and Merlin). While Semiramis may not have overcharge in her kit, she does have party defense up to somewhat make up for it. She also has a battery, NP gain up, and 3 Arts cards for lots of team Arts chains.

Even in the fights that have buff purge on NP like Amakusa or Abigail, you could just use servants that have self-buff purge resist like Lambda, Hokusai, etc, or use supports like Xufu or Medea Lily for single target buff purge. Or you can use drain to stall the NP for the buff purge resist skills to come back. Or lower their attack and just eat the NP. Or just aim for the fast kill. All of that is easier than trying to make Semiramis work. 4. She could theoretically be on the immortal team, but that sounds like an absolute pain to pilot. If you have the components for the immortal team, I think you would rather just make a strategy that doesn't involve Semiramis anyway. Musashi was made during the time when Buster memes was at its peak and Merlin was still the best caster support. Both her and JAlter suffered after one crucial change in FGO's battle system, and that was break bars and this prevented OHKO on bosses. Still she has one of the higher dpt as a main damage, since her revamped Fifth Form is actually better than previously where it had reduced damage, iirc 80% of her original damage. I wouldn't use Musashi on more niche enemies, but on enemies where you can guarantee Musashi taking those solid hits, she's just raw dmg. Yes, if they buff the turns on her Buster buff and add an NP charge, she'd have more usability considering you'd want atleast an NPBB chain on her to maximize the Buster chain and Fifth Form.
Another thing against Jarcher is the fact that she ALSO gets competition next year with Durga and especially Ptolemaios, the loast one is especially egregious given his NP switch mechanic like Melusine's and Durga's somewhat niche uses (she released already in need of a buff which is kind of depressing).
I knew with 100% certainty that I was going to pull Maid Alter. I didn't really want her, but I knew she was going to be the one to show up. Being right like this is a curse.
Tried for Abby NP5 or Summer BB, got Maid Alter. Feelsbadman It was NP2 Maid alter since I got a copy on accident pulling for Raikou back during summer 2, but yeah. Especially awful considering I have Ozy at NP2 and he's just absolutely busted after all his strengthenings.
I got NP1 Kiara in the GSSR and can confirm: she hits like a wet paper towel. Or maybe one of those “novelty” mouse pads. Happy to get the free quartz from all her upgrades, though.
The frustrating part is given the whole '13 seals' thing it seems like there'll be a story-related reason why he can't unlock the full power of Excalibur, meaning that an NP upgrade will be tied into a future event or something more signifcant than a simple interlude or rank-up.
man, i wanted to get Gramps, as he is one of my favourite servants of all time and so far, over the 2 years i've played, he evaded all my attempts to get him, this GSSR i got maid alter...
I have Skadi already, so I really wanted Musashi, or First Hassan. I would have also been hyped for a Melt. I ended up getting Sherlock Holmes. I'm glad I'll be able to do CQs easier with him, but I doubt I'll ever use him for anything else. So that's disappointing.

I have exactly 11 paid sq in my account somehow. I'm still debating if getting that extra sq just for this is worth it or not. I have about half the servants on this list with the ones I do have at np1, except Gramps and Skadi, both at np2.
So is Sigurd actually good for anything? He was one the servants i wanted the least because i don't think I'd ever use him for anything. He was in my top 5 servants i didn't want.
Its like the video says, he is pain in the ass to use, i have him np5 in jp and trust me when i say that, he got decently high np+crit damage but got shafted because he dont have any np charge/star absorb, so you have heavily rely and support like koyanskaya, but the problem is his buff is hit based so you have to chose if you wanna go for np or crit, and one more thing because he got no charge of his own you absolutely have to use his art cards otherwise you will lack of np charge but koyans skill can only absorb buster card. TL;DR : outside of cool factor/personal liking, he's not worth it, and the dev actively been avoiding to buff him is really sad, a lot lower rarity outperform him and have better skills than him, if you looking for single target saber iori is better, if you looking for dragon slaying kriemhild is league above him

On paper/ In a vacuum I got a great result this GSSR with Summer BB and Skadi... This goes waaay down when taking into account that I had them both. On the bright side, NP3 BB can be grailed to 120 if I skip appends, I guess. Still, I would have preferred getting NP4 Caster Umu over NP2 Skadi.
Got Summer Umu, my 3rd Summer Umu. I like her, but there are still plenty on servants I don't have of the group. Game repaid me with some good luck on the thanksgiving banners tho.
I hoped for Melt ... and I got Caster Nero 😐 this just gets an "eh" from me. Sadly Rare Prisms aren't really useful, otherwise I would have burned this one. At least I got myself an Ishtar and Vinky twice.
I have all of the servants in the top 5 except mysterious heroine x alter and apart from skadi being number 1, I really really disagree with that placement. I never use first hassan because he is just so inconvenient. I think his np does really really bad damage and ereshkigal is overall just in every situation a better get. Sometimes I prefer to use Jack or any neutral servant rather than Old Man just because of how low his damage is
Wow there's a lot of really bad takes in this one. Blinded by current shiny servants EN won't see for a couple years or upgrades and then overvaluing niche servants you'll touch for 1 gimmick fight and never again.
Frankly, that's a bit simple-minded. It'd be dumb not to factor in the JP upgrades and releases when the information is right there in front of us and relevant for futureproofing.
That 12 quartz costs like 600 in my currency and that is overpriced af and you're not even sure you'll get a good one so thats a pass. I've seen more gacha with reasonable price than that

She can be used as a quick nuke at least? Shes not amazing at it but it’s a role she can function as if you properly support her

The frustrating part is given the whole '13 seals' thing it seems like there'll be a story-related reason why he can't unlock the full power of Excalibur, meaning that an NP upgrade will be tied into a future event or something more signifcant than a simple interlude or rank-up.
man, i wanted to get Gramps, as he is one of my favourite servants of all time and so far, over the 2 years i've played, he evaded all my attempts to get him, this GSSR i got maid alter...
I have Skadi already, so I really wanted Musashi, or First Hassan. I would have also been hyped for a Melt. I ended up getting Sherlock Holmes. I'm glad I'll be able to do CQs easier with him, but I doubt I'll ever use him for anything else. So that's disappointing.

But yeah, she's basically only carried by her design. Still, I try to use her from time to time - mostly when I want to let Ushi rest for a bit.

I have exactly 11 paid sq in my account somehow. I'm still debating if getting that extra sq just for this is worth it or not. I have about half the servants on this list with the ones I do have at np1, except Gramps and Skadi, both at np2.

So is Sigurd actually good for anything? He was one the servants i wanted the least because i don't think I'd ever use him for anything. He was in my top 5 servants i didn't want.
Its like the video says, he is pain in the ass to use, i have him np5 in jp and trust me when i say that, he got decently high np+crit damage but got shafted because he dont have any np charge/star absorb, so you have heavily rely and support like koyanskaya, but the problem is his buff is hit based so you have to chose if you wanna go for np or crit, and one more thing because he got no charge of his own you absolutely have to use his art cards otherwise you will lack of np charge but koyans skill can only absorb buster card.
TL;DR : outside of cool factor/personal liking, he's not worth it, and the dev actively been avoiding to buff him is really sad,
a lot lower rarity outperform him and have better skills than him, if you looking for single target saber iori is better, if you looking for dragon slaying kriemhild is league above him

On paper/ In a vacuum I got a great result this GSSR with Summer BB and Skadi... This goes waaay down when taking into account that I had them both. On the bright side, NP3 BB can be grailed to 120 if I skip appends, I guess. Still, I would have preferred getting NP4 Caster Umu over NP2 Skadi.

Got Summer Umu, my 3rd Summer Umu. I like her, but there are still plenty on servants I don't have of the group. Game repaid me with some good luck on the thanksgiving banners tho.
I hoped for Melt ... and I got Caster Nero 😐 this just gets an "eh" from me. Sadly Rare Prisms aren't really useful, otherwise I would have burned this one. At least I got myself an Ishtar and Vinky twice.

I have all of the servants in the top 5 except mysterious heroine x alter and apart from skadi being number 1, I really really disagree with that placement. I never use first hassan because he is just so inconvenient. I think his np does really really bad damage and ereshkigal is overall just in every situation a better get. Sometimes I prefer to use Jack or any neutral servant rather than Old Man just because of how low his damage is

Wow there's a lot of really bad takes in this one. Blinded by current shiny servants EN won't see for a couple years or upgrades and then overvaluing niche servants you'll touch for 1 gimmick fight and never again.
Frankly, that's a bit simple-minded. It'd be dumb not to factor in the JP upgrades and releases when the information is right there in front of us and relevant for futureproofing.
