The pepperoni stick in bread is good!! The Zapple sauce is apple sauce with maltodextrin and caffeine to kick start you. That's why it's got a not so good taste lol. I never liked it either but if your in a situation where you need it, It's got what you need to get you through.
The First strike rations are meant to be eaten on the go to, So most the rations don't even come with a flameless ration heater. The mayo was to be used with the chicken in a wrap. But mre mayo imo tastes like crap.
I've got about 6 first strike rations left from a case I bought a couple years ago. The fruit filling sandwich is best heated up!!!!! Next time you do a first strike ration, heat up the food. You can heat it up by boiling a pot of water and submerge the unopened pouches in water for 10 mins or so. To warm them up.
