When Hana (Sasha Luss), a professional gamer who suffers from acute agoraphobia, is asked to trial sophisticated new gaming equipment which uses AI to interpret the electrical activity of her brain, she sees an opportunity to enhance her game. As Hana and her best friend Jen (Alexis Ren) experiment with this new technology, the line between reality and Hana’s subconscious quickly begins to blur and she starts to wonder if the device is helping her or serving a more sinister force.
The hardest thing to believe about this trailer is the fact that she was playing a gameboy in dim light..

crazy thing is that I found this through, what could be called psychological horror made for kids breaking apart as the main character starts to question reality and multiple gods and demons are summoned to stop him. As the friends of the main character, still unaware until now, start being to be affected by the main character's god like powers...

Saw this in the cinema. Great film. The trailer does not do it justice at all - (as with so many trailers) it fails to reflect the tone, atmosphere and even the genre of the film. Ignore the trailer - go see the film.
I just watched and best way to describe is absolutely nothing happens for 90 min. Everything interesting you already saw in the trailer. There are incredibly long stretches where you’re watching somebody pretend to play a game using their mind. So a girl sitting in a chair making dumb expressions on her face, then a ghost screams and makes the camera shake. That’s the movie.

I 100% disagree with everything you've just said. It's the complete opposite. The trailer looked good (as they always do with so many trailers) then it fails to give you anything more in the movie, cause like what the other guy said, you already see the best parts of the movie from the trailer, that's it! The movie just relied on loud burst sounds to try scare you. The ending was the dumbest thing ever with a million unanswered questions and so many things didn't make any logical sense whatsoever. You have terrible judgement because this was an obviously terrible movie.

There are not many horrors there, rather a severe personality disorder from starvation, brain exhaustion from games and lack of sleep - anyone will lose their mind and reality.

I am suffering with agoraphobia for 4ys now. It is really hard. It feels my whole life stopped. It ended my 14yrs relationship with my partner. Lost my job. My life savings depleted. Not sure what to do now

Is it just me, or does it not feel like a whole lot of other movies... Oh, yeah. There was that Soderbergh film about a female agoraphobic computer-wiz that got dragged into hacking shenanigans during Covid. That's probably what I was reminded of. That and a slap of generic horror paint. Some generic glitching effects. Some generic loud noises.
I'm starting to think I am not this films target audience.
I kind of would have preferred a strange Tetris movie adaptation.
