- Jkissa wanted a change with her hair color. She wanted to move from her golden blonde to silver hair. Since her hair is already been pre-lighten I don't want to compromise the integrity of her hair so I used Olaplex to prevent breakage and repair broken bonds from lightening process and heat. I wish I could see more black women getting this process in their hair. I know there's been one black girl who got her hair colored but I would love to see more of the process
we are scared of our hair falling out. i know I am. I already had to cut 90% of it off when I big chopped. I don't plan on dying until I've grown my hair to at least mid back length
I feel like black women go to black hair stylists and Asian to Asian stylists and so on,but I've seen a couple video of black women with natural hair getting balayage with olaplex and it looked really good curly and straight.

+Katia Monroy that's likely because they are afraid that if they go to stylists of a different race, they won't know how to do their hair. and a lot of times, that is the truth! a lot of stylists who aren't black don't even know how to properly style a black person's hair because it's completely different. it's a shame and we need our stylists to be trained for multiple types of hair.
I have to admit that I hated the eye makeup until Guy slayed the hair. Suddenly the eyes were perfect! Gorgeous!
People who color their hair frequently wear makeup for the color they want, not the color they currently have when they go to the salon .

Everyone is being so horrible to Jkissa, saying her making is bad and that they don't like her. She can't wear foundation because it irritates her skin, so the products she puts on her face aren't going to look as good as they would if she wore foundation but seriously, she's an amazing makeup artist! I would never be able to do the stuff she does, her eyes look amazing in this video. I love her, she's so unique and genuine and just an amazing person, people need to stop judging people so harshly!

Anyone that says her makeup looks bad is just inexperienced in what colors go with what skin/hair and eye tone! The make up she is wearing goes perfect with her eye and lip color! I love her lip color especially with her skin tone and new hair color. I would buy every bit of her lip and eye makeup right now if I knew the exact color and brand she is wearing. Those who are saying it looks bad are probably plain, homely and still wearing the same hair style and color from their childhood. She looks fabulous people. Her makeup and hair is what’s in style right now for her skin tone. She knows what goes with her cool, fair skin tone, And now with her beautiful cool hair color! Do you haters even know what your own skin tone is and what colors look best with you as a whole person( skin tone, hair color, eyes.)Uneducated people make uneducated remarks, typical in most reviews. it doesn't look good. you can point out the /technicalities/ all day but the lipstick was a hideous green shade and the makeup look looked sloppy to me. the blush was also too much and did make her look muddy/like she doesn't know how to apply self tanner. on top of all this, she was dying her hair silver! (or the weird silver purple guy did). even if her makeup matched her old hair (also hideous, thank God she changed it) why wouldn't she make it more neutral / cool toned if she knew she was changing to a cooler toned color? poorly thought through and executed in my opinion. @@ms.loulou417

+Dana Nicole my hair was bleached a yellow blonde instead of a white blonde, even though she used toner. as my roots started to grow I just asked my stylist to blend my light brown hair into the blonde so that now it looks like an ombre. I've been to three different stylists in the last few years asking for white hair and no one has been able to do it. I'm starting to think the only way I'll get white hair is to take a flight to see Guy. :-\
+Holly Parrish try looking on yelp for colorist near you, or on Instagram type in where you live and find a stylist that way.
Tell your stylist to watch this video and follow it the best they can, they might have to adjust how they do it according to what color your hair is cause it most likely is not the same as hers nor has the same history, but this video could give your stylist a good idea of how to achieve this look and is a good guide.

I really cannot even understand the negativity in this video. maybe we all don't want EXACTLY what comes on the box, but rather a more complex and unique shade with definition. Guy uses his imagination and remember, hair dye is CHEMISTRY! just as he says, it's paranormal hairtivity and we cannot predict to a T the exact shade it will always be.

I always feel daunted about going back and doing the roots, but keeping the foils in the hair its almost like its pre-sectioned so you don't have to worry about combing back through and breaking the hair. SO SMART.

And they way you made her hair look so healthy and shiny again, was truly amazing and so impressive! After watching the work you did with Mykie's hair I went onto your channel and watch some more videos of yours and all your clients hair looks absolutely perfect and flawless! Silver with an occasional hint of violet is exactly what I wanted! Watching this video told me exactly what to buy and how to use it to get that look! I'm so excited! I tried out my technique with your #mydentity silver smoke 6ss and 8ss, and it came out great except that the 8ss was too dark for my lengths and ends.

I am so jealous right now. I spent over 1500$ getting my hair silver and the hair salons in Edmonton fucked me over so bad. My hair was perfectly healthy and VERY strong and they managed to ruin my hair. It was burnt off and now it's all choppy and short and I had no choice but to dye it dark. I wish I was as lucky as these girls that get their hair done by this hair wizard. This video made me so sad because all I want it hair like that but double thumbs up.

+Shruffle Love honestly it's not even worth it... It's my fault for trusting people to do something I could have done better. Every time I mentioned I wanted silver-ish hair they would cringe, though I had previously bleach my hair blonde to about a 7 & my hair was still so healthy looking&feeling.. That should have been enough for me to walk out. I wanted silver hair so bad it's literally all I was working for. I never go to hair salons, I cut and dye my own hair.. Or at least I have been for the past 7-8-ish years until recently when I thought going to a hair salon was a good idea. I was wrong. Don't ever get your hair done in Edmonton. When I asked to get my hair cut shorter ( long bob ) after I dyed it brown again ( this was a totally different hair salon ) she butchered my hair. It's so choppy and it looks terrible.. I refused to pay that one because it looked so bad I had tears walking out of the salon. My dream of achieving silver hair was officially over..

It amazes me to finally see the greys returning to the hair color world. I am 57 years young ( just turned 57 years old yesterday October 5th 2017) and I remember seeing ladies getting their hair colored with the grayish blues, purples and sometimes just plain grey....... I am going grey all over except for the back of my head ( I'm a reddish light brown natural hair color with almost white streaks of grey) and I want to know how hard it would be for me to get a beautiful grey hair color, more so like a metallic grey. I have never colored, bleached or anything to my hair except haircuts. My hair is thin,always has been and it's almost to my rear end and it's layered too ( hate that , want it straight across my back ) and if I did have it cut straight across, my hair would be almost mid-back. I would love to see you do something for someone like myself to see how it would look for my age range. Yes, an older woman wants to be grey all the way.......any thoughts, please be kind to me, never had anything put on my hair ( hair dyes)..... Thanks

As long as you don't bleach it too, too much. You'll be good. If you're worried about damaging it, with the dye, you could always use semi-permanent hair dye. Manic Panic, and ION hair dye are great. You can find them at any beauty supply store.
+B Elizabeth i my case the bigger Problem is to get it more even. i have almost white parts and parts that are very coppery. it sucks, no hairdresser was able to fix it, they always told me "let it grow out and then bleach it, but i wouldn't do it. why not go Brown?!" ._.
someone earlier advised to look on yelp or instagram for a good hair dresser near you. Most regular hair dressers are not up for Guy Tang worthy tasks. But if they're on social media with their work, it's gotta be modern and skilled. When there's noone nar you, wait til you're in the nearest big city next time.

Why only black hair?
as a mom of two boys and one girl, all in elementary school, I give my kids any hair color they want. My daughter has had pink twice and is currently purple. My older son has had red and teal. Their school and teachers have never said anything because I let them know the dyed hair is a reward/privilege for good behavior at school and home.
My advice Divergent Rebel, would be to offer to sign a contract stating that if you are allowed to dye your hair now, you will promise not to get any tattoos until you're 25. Hair color is very changeable, a tattoo you keep until you die! It puts things in perspective.

I can't recommend olaplex enough. I was introduced to it a year ago going to a salon after moving... I wish they had used this before! Never has my hair been so healthy!
