could sing any Queen song with anything near his vocal power.

Within singing circles Luis Miguel is considered probably the greatest singer in any language, of all time
Frank Sinatra even acknowledged he had an incredible voice and hadn't heard one like that before. Luciano Pavoratti has said that Luis was born with a Stratovarious in his throat.
Before I expanded my musical tastes I didn't realize how narrow minded I was as an American.
Luis makes most singers seem like they're at the very least not doing something right that he is doing right.
He's straight up supernatural on stage and at times so can Cristian Castro, also considered one of the greatest singers/vocalists of all time.

I think that litterally everyone on EARTH rich/poor has sometime in life heard the name MICHAEL JACKSON
And he will be studied in history books. He was more revolutionnary to the world than Freddie, though queen songs are my favourtite, but for all he has done also in dancing, the social relevance of his lyrics and the way he changed styles. The way he mooved people by his kindness will stay, no matter how many harm they tried to do to him. He never really left

Just buy sound either Elvis or Roy orbison......probably Orbison when he is going high...Orbison was called By other singers the greatest singer in the world during the 70's and 80's...thats when Mercury was alive. You may not like their songs as much, but in terms of sound of the voice Orbison and Elvis cant be topped. Listen to Orbison sing I drove all night or Crying, or Elvis sing UNchained melody...their is nothing more beautiful sounding than that.

Qritical_91 I prefer Montreal in 81 for Freddie's pure voice in the concert. The concert is pretty much perfect. At Wembley his voice was a bit too rough for my liking but the concert sure does get your mood to heaven. Lovely concert, both of them :)

Add to that the fact that he recorded an opera album with Montserrat Caballe who was astounded at his vocal range. He was on a different planet to Jim Morrison I'm afraid.

PROJECT DX hi 👋🏼, absolutely love that you recognized Tom Jones, he is absolutely one of the greatest singers ever. However, to say that Robert Plant should not be on the list is insane...Plant has incredible range, he is raw power at its finest. Also, Otis Redding? Jackie Wilson? Really? That’s honestly just your opinion...I think the vast majority of people would disagree with you there...
Edit: also Michael Jackson may not have the “power” as someone like Tom Jones or Freddie Mercury or Robert Plant, but he is very technically skilled, and therefore a good singer.
Another Edit: also, as much as I love Frank Sinatra, and definitely think he should be on the list, Bing Crosby is a more technically skilled a singer, and to the surprise of most, is actually a much bigger influence. Sinatra came in at the end of the popularity of that genre, whereas Crosby pioneered it and even influenced Sinatra, Dean Martin, Perry Como, Andy Williams, Nat King Cole, and the list goes on and on. Alongside Crosby’s voice that could soothe a lion and make a raging bull cower, he practically OWNED the entertainment industry. He owned the television stations, he owned the Record companies, he got to decide who became popular and who didn’t, and he was the most popular singer for almost 30 years...so there’s influence and skill for ya. Also, fun fact, because of the way records were sold back then (singles) Bing Crosby is technically the best selling artist ever, with over one billion records sold.
