@captainchaos1311 gambling within your financial limits and tarot cards are two completely different areas of concern. I would consider Magic The Gathering bad and Yugioh bad because it involves spells, and... "Magic", but I'm guilty of playing the games to this day because other people play it and the mechanics are somewhat fun (despite me not good enough to build a deck that would counter their Meta because of either Powercreep or, well, basically powercreep), but I do wish to build a game just like that, just like the Redemption TCG, check that out, a Christian MTG, but I do wish there was more, yet I'm troubled of what to make it out to be, I want it to be made so it is good, no beating each other's LP to 0, but something else, my thought was lightning someone's lamp to a full blaze, each player has a lamp, you win if you set their lamp to full blaze, basically relighting their lamps, to do that is with combat, but that's where I'm troubled because imagine a knight, a M1A1 Abrams, a space ship from a ShootEmUp game, wolf that walks like a human and wields a knight's set, and a colourful fox charging with their weapons and/or claws to ignite a flame of a Hebrew Lamp to win the game, also the game has Christian values. Talk about some thought that came out of someone who took LSD, it may look weird, looks fun, but troubled if it's actually OK to make, I want a game that is like the Big 3 (MTG Pokemon Yugioh) but is Christian like Redemption and can simulate that, something like that, but all I have is a jumbled mess and now I'm doubting the creation, I'm doubting my ability to create something fun that simulates all of that, but can be recreated in heaven but then perfected, that's the thing, I also want it to be Pleasing to God, but not sure how to create it like that, Redemption already has that down, but I want something that simulates the fun of what I said, a game where anything is possible, build your own deck the way you like, but also teaching a lesson. Only Redemption made it, made in 1995 it hold up well, not that popular but still alive, I see alack in Christian games in that market and want to rectify that, but I'm not sure if they are "Christian" enough.
@kagmushashien8394 I like the idea of building a more encouraging game. I don't know much about how Magic or Yu-Gi-Oh operate. You might be able to alter what the primary stat to protect or build up would be. If you end up building the game, let me know so I can check it out! -Kevin
@@churchofchristrocksprings922 Magic is a slow game, you ramp up your resources. Yugioh you just play the card, there are restrictions but it's little to none, and that's why it's the most powercreeped of them all, the phrase "our turn" started, where players ramp up their play during their opponents turn, basically getting a second turn, it's also known for being the one where players build decks that make you not play the game, negating your cards, Flood gates come out (making the game more restrictive to play like LV4 and up units can't attack, or people can only Speciel summon 3 times a turn), it became that the Top Meta Decks are the Trump decks, and every other deck is weak compared to them, Testaments is the "Our Turn" phrase, Kashtira just banishes everything in sight, Swordsoul has more ways to bounce back and take names, other decks with no cards like those are useless in a match, for being too slow or not affecting the play much, that's why I like Rouge Decks, those are not the meta decks, but are way more fun to play, usually a low archetype or a mix of cards that are like running into a thorn bush for meta, but it's fun to play and fair, because when you go up against these decks you feel relieved that you might win, going up against any of the meta decks you are basically waiting for your inevitable loss. And Pokemon, well the best decks basically go through the whole deck itself just to win, and if you're too slow you are more likely to lose, and if you don't have the best Pokemon you're going to lose even harder, and that's the thing, losing to a meta deck stings harder than a Rouge deck, because of the overwhelming dread of something that basically utilizes both turns for their advantage, or just 1 card that should be banned completely. As of now MY TCG might look like a Greek Olympic series, you have to complete 3 tasks in order to win, one is wrestling with the opponent of who can command a better army or throw themselves into the fray, not sure of the other 2 but I'm sure one is lighting 7 lamps it's basically a race.

I wish to make a TCG that can be popularized, draw in people to Christianity through games because there's a lack of those in the market, most likely be hated in the end because it's Christian when the last days come but that's what I want and don't want. I want it to be liked so it can be fun and you learn too, but I also want it to be hated for being Christian because that's a sign that I made something good, and also wish for it to die there because I don't want it to live long enough to become a villain and not do what it's supposed to do.
@kagemushashien8394 best wishes on designing this game. I hope all goes well for you. The line you are attempting to walk is a very fine line. The world will only "tolerate" a certain level of the truth. -Kevin

I would say it depends on if you are gambling/reading tarot cards or just having a fun game of cards

Play cards, but not around ex-gamblers so they do not stumble is my take.
