- Bought non running Ulysse Nardin marine chronometer off of ebay. Took a big hit on this one. Not doing that again. I do it so you don't have to. I actually found someone to fix it. It now runs. Will do a follow up video. On another note, I got cable internet now and boy is it fast. Much better than the DSL I used to have.
This video performed by an amateur. Do not attempt at home. No watches were harmed in the making of this video. For entertainment only.
I watch this for ASMR but by now I know there's always a big burp at some point
Lol😂
Yes, there will be. That is how you know it is from me. I take it that the loud expulsion of gas from the entrance of the digestive system is disruptive to the ASMR experience.
I have PTSD from all the profanities.
I was very upset because I paid a lot for it. You should go to therapy.
A good project for us to watch .
Glad for a new one but…may 9th?!
JD Richard (youtube) can build those damaged parts.
Handy for spares
I had it repaired.
Glad to read that you were able to get it serviced. I enjoyed the video and it really made me think about some of the ebay deals I bid on in the past. I'll definately take my time and look a lot more closely at pictures and descriptions before I pull the trigger on any auction again. Would you minf letting us know what that cost you for the ebay auction and the repair?
All I will say right now is that the cost to fix is what the cost to buy was.
Could you recommend a book that would show an assembly diagram of a NY Standard model 4 pocket watch. Early 1900s. I took one apart... it got knocked off the table 😢... not sure where the pieces parts go. I searched your videos didn't find a NY Standard. If i had a schematic of some kind maybe i could follow it. ??
I don't have a schematic. I just have a parts list for all 18 size NY Standard pocket watches. It shows a part number and what it is called but no assembly instructions. It has all 18 size parts for all models so who knows what parts go to what models.

@@bunnspecial okay thank you
I'd get a pro to fix the parts, re-pivot the escape wheel etc.. It's too special to be shelved.
Yes, that is what I thought. Plus, it is a break circuit chronometer. I had it fixed so now it runs.
I like that though .
I was going to ask if I could buy it for my sailboat. Guess I'll keep looking..........
Congrats on your cable internet!
Thanks! It is very fast compared to DSL. I might sign up for some streaming service.
I recently broke down and bid on a watchmakers lathe that also came with a full set of collets. Got it for a good price (less than 500) and it's in nice condition.
I was tired of chasing down balance staffs and buying old watch movements from India to get gears due to bad / bent / broken pivots.
Looks like it was damaged in shipping due to poor packaging.
At least Bunn has the unpacking on video if evidence needed. He’ll have to rate the tape R. Lol
The seller wrote in the description that it doesn't run. I took a gamble and lost. I have had these shipped to me that had damaged from shipping, but they still worked.
It's one of those day's again
Can you send it back does it fall under eBay protection
The seller wrote that it was not running so no sending it back. I had it repaired so now it runs.
not lookin good time to get your money back
Seller said it was not working. Took a gamble and lost.
Oh! A Bunn surprise at 1AM 🎉. Exceptional timing (like an Elgin 🗿)
It's a ship's clock. You know it's led a hard life.

How did I ever subscribe to this channel
Don't have anything nice to say upshut.
@@swampliger8770 that's true. Agreed. Apologies.
Because it is one of the best channels, ever :)
@@carloscarvalhido2424I’ve been watching Bunnie 8 years and nothing has changed. Lol.
@@916commons ... once I discovered him, a few years ago, I realized I had to watch all his videos, which I did :)
No normal person talks to them self THAT much… Just saying
There is an audio track I have to fill. Too lazy to put in music.
