It is pricey - this was a present from my husband on the 14th anniversary of our nuptials. Well worth every penny!

I absolutely loved swimming with Gypsi and Delta in May 2013. It was a little expensive, but it's worth it. The dolphins are so loveable. I could have swam with them all day. Linda, our trainer, was awesome. Wonderful lady with a wealth of knowledge. Thank you DRC, for giving these mammals a place to live and learn, so that we can enjoy their beauty in their natural habitat.

I went to dolphin research center in the mid 1980s. At that time they were not penned at all, allowed to come and go as they pleased. There was a 30 minute class on what to do when in the water with them. You floated and one would come up and playfully push you around the area.
Fascinating stories about them, included a couple on their honeymoon. The dolphins were gently rubbing their noses on the brides stomach. They told her that she was pregnant which is why these mammals reacted that way. She told them no, absolutely not pregnant. Eight and a half months later she gave birth.
Another was a Vietnam Veteran who had shrapnel imbedding in his buttocks. The Dolphins were so puzzled by this that they all came over to gently push their nosed against the man's rear. When he got out of the water he was perplexed. The staff told him that dolphins use sonar and asked him if he had any metal in his body. Yes.
My swim with them left me feeling calm and energized as they played with my feet, nudged my body.
At that time they had handicapped people come to swim with them. They nudge them very gently, and after the handicapped are taken out of the water their heart rate went down, mobility and flexibility went up.
These are truly gifts to everyone.

History, it isn't pretty.. Ric OBarry was there he can describe it in detail. This place is glorifying Flipper, it was a tragedy.

Ric O Barry is a clown. He once just threw two captive dolphins in the sea and a few days later they were found emaciated and injured.

that was the 1960s. also Ric O' Barry has dark history that he almost killed two dolphin by throw them out in the wild and dolphins where not tough how survive. one life was shorten and never recover form his short time in the wild. He is an animal abuser. In the last eight year this place average survival rate of .985. dolphin in wild have survival rate of .961. survival rates have improved quite a bit form the 1960s. this place needs money to do research and caring for dolphin expensive and time consuming.

I saw a pod of dolphins in a shallow (4ft deep) in Panama City Beach. They had short black fins. Does anybody know what species they may be?

Research facility ? Dolphin petting zoo ? Please educate yourself if you care at all about dolphins. These facilities are profit driven not dolphin sanctuaries. Don't buy a ticket PLEASE !

@Leith James im sorry but they make millions off of the animals that they say is rescued rehabilitation centers not keep the dolphins n make them do ticks if any one cares to read the laws on marine rehabilitation when the animal's are being treated they are sopost to only have human interaction wile being treated not puit it in a pen n have 1.000 of people come n see it and feed them to do tricks for them they are wild animals trained to obay humans for profit look it up and look at the centers and how they rehabilitat the dolphins most are deamed unfit to return to the wild n sent to parks all over its just a away big business gets around the laws and state n goverment help keep them in captivity and fully stocked on dolphins so look in to it and see for your self then tell me what you think if you need help just ask

DRC is not like that they actually have a associates degree program so people get their careers started in animal care. Like they said dolphins are not protected everywhere in the world. It is unfortunate and very sad that they don’t have protection everywhere in the world. So places that want to protect them and care are very important to their conservation.

while this is better than those horrible glass pools. These animals belong in the wild and not to do party tricks. This is a disgusting video.
