I like where yer goin' with this!!! Great idea --- everything pre-fab'd as a "drop-in" set. The owner can save time and $$$ and be content (dreams fulfilled) at a much lesser price point!!!! Let's Goooooo!!!! Be Safe
Awesome work Matt. 100% satisfied with the work you did on my 1648 from this winter completely transformed the boat….Ready for the first tricked tins tournament
Looking forward to seeing the "KITS" you've got planned. I've got the Tracker Grizzly 1448. I'm wanting storage up front like your showing to give access to that front storage "hole" and a back storage casting deck. I might as well put storage in the back bench, I'm wondering how much trapped water I might have. As always - Amazing work!
Thanks, brotha. Im going to break the kits up into 2 or 3 different styles. The back transom kit and bench seat hatches are good to go. The front is going to be a little complicated but ive almost got it figured out. Part 2 will drop soon with more info
Bro, I dig the content and builds you sling. I don't comment on anything I watch, but you got my respc. I wish you were closer. I have probably the smallest tin bass boat that has ever come out of an American factory, right here in Louisiana. 1998 Cajun Special 1444 sportsman. would love to have a resto mod done by ya.
@TRICKED TINS No doubt. Both of our professions require a lot of our time I'm sure leaving me with little for my personal projects. Who knows, I may just roll out that way one day. Takes guts to put your profession on the world wide interweb, and you leave it on the table bro.
Great video as always. Question: Everyone always talks about foam in the boats and then cutting it out. I assume foam in the benches makes it less sinkable or is it more for stability of the frame? Will cutting it out affect the boat in any way? Thanks as always.
@@TRICKEDTINSmy boat the rear foam was inside a plastic bag that formed to cavity. The bag kept water from water logging foam. Front deck was water logged poor drainage which most boats under 20' have issues with.
@TRICKEDTINS I want to drill holes in the floor of my Tracker Grizzly Sportsman 2023 1754 boat. When I purchased the boat, the person told me I needed to remove the flor to see below where the support is located. I was hoping you could help me in where to drill to avoid cutting through them.
If you removing foam at most id throwna bildge pump in for those oh crP moments. Like the build the grizzly is a great platform. Thouhht there was more foam under the front deck and floor!
Matt, I really like the "KIT" concept, that will offer some really sweet options for those anglers who are not in the area and for those who are avid "DIY" anglers. It just makes a lot of sense, great marketing!
Weld the box water tight, there’s your flotation. Too much work, not enough return? Put a rubber fuel bladder in there and fill it with air. Cheap. Easy quick. Most fuel bladders are self sealing as well.
Agreed! The quality is extremely well with the 16' or smaller Grizzlys. Anything bigger has issues with the floor frame welds. The foam is just crap. Tracker is working on it. I'm interested to see the 2024 models!
@@KyleDodder so tracker uses pour foam and doesn’t quite pay attention, blocks the drain channels in the bottom and stops water from draining to the back of the boat, thus pooling water against foam. Foam soaks it up. Also the drain holes in the floor goes straight to foam.

I like the size and layout of that boat. It gives you a good template to start with. Can’t wait to see the finished product. 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks brotha! Its going to be a bannger!

Thanks, brotha! Goodluck!
All of your builds are sick. Truly a professional.
Appreciate it!
I got a grizzly 1648 sc...can't wait to see what you do with the back
It is going to be a game changer.

Thanks Dan
Cool idea. Looking forward to seeing the final build too!
Thanks brotha!

Thanks brotha! Id love to help you, but the distance is critical. Maybe you can DIY it with some products and direction? Thanks for commenting!

Nice work. You may can utilize the drop in the rear to add a rear hatch that is thicker and it would line up with the top.
Stay tuned. This tracker kit comes with pieces that level out that rear bench seat to transom storage area!
Question, does cutting that crossmember for the recessed tray not affect the structural integrity of the front deck?
I usually add extra support.
Come close to Louisiana 😂 i need ya
There is a level flotation requirement by the Coast Guard. How are you complying with that if you remove the foam?
Yeah this foam is a joke... wait till you see the next video!!!!

In some boats, it's used as support for the decks and benches, but the main purpose is to add floatation for emergency situations

Matt, on a tracker, grizzly sportman, can you give me .measurements for drilling pedestal seats on the floor.
Thank you Bob
Sorry I'm not familiar with that. I really don't know what you're asking me to begin with.

This build is complete. I put a bilge in!

Ive been trying to figure this out for yrs! It is time!!!
Is there a way I can buy the leveling pieces for those rear pods without buying the whole kit?
Or even if there was a kit for the whole rear hatch, I would jump all over that
Forsure, I'll go more in depth next episode. It will probably be broken down into multiple kits. (Back deck) (frontdeck) etc
How will you replace the flotation ???
Most people don't want it. If I were to put foam in the boat it would be closed cell sheet foam
closed cell spray foam, it wont soak in the water like the open cell does.
Sounds good on paper lol

Good to know. I won't be adding any additional foam to this boat except to insulate the livewell.
Great idea with selling the kits. I'm sure you will do great
Thanks brotha
I would love to own a boat this size
Very versatile rig
Get a bigger boat! I go camping with one buddy and my 1648 is plum full
Saw the twitter post when and what is the give away
Will be posting a video this week about it! Stay tuned!
Oh ok well now im gonna add storage in that back compartment on my tracker grizzly
Lmk if you need some hatches.
I don’t know why I like grizzlys more. That foam issue is sad.

What’s the foam issue? I just got one? I’m afraid the foam in mine is all water logged?
