The reverse also works: die cut to make jig, then die cut batches of unstamped sentiments (using various card stock, scraps etc). When you want to stamp the sentiment, place jig in stamping platform, center the stamps in the cutout areas, close platform top, then pop in your die cuts to also have centered stamped images. Works well for using customizing ink colors with design besides using the white/black standards, or want to color sentiment flourishes after they are stamped. I store my jigs with the stamps and dies in clear pouches. Also 120# accent opaque is back in stock at Amazon, BTW.
Yes, there's definitely plenty of ways to do this, I only showed one. Thanks for sharing your way! I also store my jigs in the pouch I keep the stamps and dies. Thanks for the heads up about the cardstock.
I like to do this the other way around. I die cut the sentiments, and leave the jig in the MISTI and slot the die cuts in and out of the jig to stamp. I usually position the stamps in the opening rather than on the die cut, since the stamp could have residual ink on it which might transfer if I’m lining up the stamp on the die cut. TFS.
Great video! I think it’s great that you gave credit to JM and Amy. It’s always nice to see this awesome tip again! And, BTW, your audio/mic is fantastic - I like that you cut out all the background noise. Your voice is clear, no fuzzy sounds, or breath sounds. And your instructions/commentary is great! Love your closing too - Peace out!! ❤
Absolutely love this! Especially the days when you aren’t feeling super creative. It makes putting cards together so much easier if the parts are already done! ❤❤❤
Okay, how freaking cool is that??!! I guess I've seen this before but forgot about it! Thanks for the great tutorial, Alison! And interesting that you showed the binder at the end with pre-cut sentiments! I am about to post in our group to ask how others prep/store those so I can get some ideas! Perfect timing on this video! :D
great video Alison! I love the tips. I just got my first Versafine Clair (black), and oh my! yes, I love it!!! I adopted Amy's binder system as well, it's been a game changer for me.
Great tips! I use the binder system for my die cuts. It works great to be able to see what I have. That blue ink IS amazing. I need to get more of the Versafine Clair line.
Thanks for the tips. I really think some of these companies need to use something else other than that sticky tape to adhere their dies to the cardboard. It pulls off or rips. Ugh. MFT stamps just uses a sticky gummy piece to adhere to cardboard back.
You can try using a magnetic sheet. Sometimes, I'll use my Anti-static powder bag to remove the stick, then add a magnetic sheet to the back so that I can still place the dies where they go on the sheet. Thanks for watching!
@@AlisonHeikkila that’s what I’d do too. Sometimes the tape leaves a residue on the die that I have to clean off or else it sticks to my cover plate die when I’m die cutting.

I only saw 100# and 65# Accent Opaque on Amazon. 😢
It actually is 100 that I used. This is the link to it: amzn.to/3Hy2Szh
I’ve been using said binder system for years. It’s a game changer!
It really is! Thanks for watching!

Great idea! Thx for all the tips! I'd like to see a video about your new electric die cutting machine. I'm thinking about them.
I've been so happy with my Switch. I'll try and get something filmed for you. 😁
I just got the pink Switch too, Christmas present to myself. 😊

@@marzs1214 Yes, that happens sometimes. You can use the anti static powder bag on the die as well.
You need to rub the stamps on your skin to take the shine off
Yes, thank you! I usually do that, but I didn't this time for some reason.
