@@annateresa9814Africa is definitely developing and we shall get there on our own terms. It takes time to recover from the ravage of centuries of slave trade, colonial exploitation and neocolonialism. China has done it, so shall Africa❤💪🏾💯
I didn't catch that as I was so focused on watching everything they were doing. Stands to reason when Noraly plays music where we can hear the lyrics it has meaning behind it like most everything else in video. Peace!
Noraly, I can't adequately express what your travel adventures do for me. No, this is true Angolan hospitality. She went through a lot of trouble in most African countries and extortion by corrupt police officers. The truth is that most African countries are unsafe and inhospitable.
@@jgxc8 I haven't visited the majority of the African continent's countries, but in the countries I visited people in average have been very friendly ( according to me ). But corrupt police I have met at many places.
Treat you like a celebrity at the fuel station. Glad to see Alaska getting some much needed love. You two have been through some epic adventures. Awesome video, thanks 😊
Westerners always get VIP treatments in African countries. Wish the reverse were true. Not their fault tho. They have good governance which means good living which means money to spend which Africans cherish.
The episode at the gas station: Noraly unknowingly cuts to the front of the long line of people waiting. When the guys protest, the attendant justifies serving her first by saying "é minina" - it's a girl. Then everyone sends kisses to her. 😂
If you watched the vid you should know that she was told to go in front and TALK to the service people. They made the call, check the vid again. She did not jump the line.
As a Portuguese, I like to see the huge improvements since I was in Luanda the last time. Nice to see some places when I lived for 5 years before the Independence also. Same story- I'm in Minnesota USA. Ethiopian Uber driver and I start chatting. I said I would like to go to Africa. I've been watching a woman travelling all over on a motorcycle. Yes I watch that channel too. Your trip is of global interest congrats. Best on the rest of the trip
After the river nightmare with Alaska, we were concerned. She performed so well, and this service is just what she needed. The motorcycle shop techs went deep, and we are breathing easier now. Welcomeeeeee to Angola!! Safe travels Noraly!!
I think Noraly is not from the planet earth. She always has a smile in her face.😘😘😘 The way the fixed every obstacle. She has the key how resolved problemas ❤.
I was thinking something similar…it is as if her journey through this world is protected, a special karma emanates around her, her encounters are meaningful to all. I am just a viewer, and I only can imagine her effect in person!
@@terryheatwole6153people like her have it naturally. I can fake it on the outside but I can’t escape my cynicism on the inside. It definitely makes a difference in how you experience life.
Neither does Noraly, I also think that she herself is not looking for such a often marketing-oriented sponsor. Also creates commercial obligations, which she is not looking for.
The most interesting thing about your channel is the setting - Africa. To most westerners Africa is a homogenous blob where not much happens. Your channel really brings out the differences, platforms the people and places in ways that are almost never done in western media. Whenever Africa is mentioned in western media it's usually about crime, civil wars, natural disasters, and that's about it. No-one actually talks to the people.
Spot on my friend. From my personal experience, the African continent is a fantastic place. Living in Angola for 10 years now and I have no words to describe it.
Imo thats because most people have forgotten how to listen and feel with their heart due to being stuck in their minds! Places like Africa have to be felt to be understood :)
No! Noraly is a true Lone Wolf! She likes people to a degree, is tolerant to a point, but dealing with people day in and day out would eat her soul. This is why she travels alone. She is happy to meet you, but she doesn't need you in her life.
@@hagenlaveau Yes, I agree. Just because she is successful navigating the terrain, politics etc is not the same job as navigating tourists through said. What she gets away with alone would never happen in a group.
My wife and I sit together on the sofa every Wednesday and Sunday to enjoy Noraly's latest adventures. And Itchy Boots is probably the main reason why I bought an adventure motorbike again after a motorcycle break of almost 40 years.
Made my day - the Noraly effect at the petrol station in Soyo. Not only did dozens of people in line watch you fill up, but blew kisses when you left. What a lovely and spacious city Luanda is. And I really liked the lyrics to the song you played during Alaska's service - perfect! 👍
You and Alaska deserve a million thumbs up for having survived and kept us so intrigued with all you have experienced to this point. Your look of relief when reaching the big city was priceless. So glad Alaska got her spa day. Beautiful sight to see her all cleaned and running well with all her new parts. Beautiful video, Noraly!

I suggest you watch the rest of her videos. Noraly has been exceptionally respectful of local people around the world, and you are not processing the fact that she was waved over to the pumps by those in the lineup. If indeed she has been given any sort of special treatment, this may indeed reflect the gratitude that people in multiple African countries have expressed for the positive exposure she has given to her viewers as to the generosity and good nature of local people and local cultures. Your hatred and disrespect is gratuitous and misplaced!
I had no clue what to expect with Angola but am pleasantly surprised so far. The name Noraly and a good hearty breakfast have become synonymous. If I had a restaurant I would name a big breakfast menu selection after her. Amazing scene at petrol station; long lines, nothing moving. Noraly pulls up, gets motioned to a pump where no one is at a few feet away, gets cheap gas and so happy leaves tip and is on her way, everyone else is watching. Awesome to see such a blessing after what she has been through. Impressed with the high tech bike shop. Cool scene showing them checking the performance of the fuel injector and I saw they scoped the cylinder as well. They did a fine job cleaning up Alaska. She looks so nice. Peace! ❤❤❤
Great post Jason, despite couch critics here you saw it like I did. She did not jump the line, se was told to go to the front and SPEAK to the service people. They made the call to fill her bike. Good for her. Great vid as usual from her.
I'd suggest poffertjes and roosterkoeks to have the Noraly/Itchy Boots names. I was thinking poffertjes were Netherlands only but, I found they exist elsewhere. There's even a cast iron cookware manufacturer in Columbia that makes poffertjes pans. I'm hoping she gets to a place in Africa where she can get roosterkoek again. S5 eps31 22:10 "Life is good".

Thank you for this very interesting report from my favorite country in Africa. I spent 12 month there in 1978 working for Volvo Trucks teaching people in Angola how to drive and service their Volvo trucks. I learned to appreciate the kindness of the people there, and have been wishing to return to many times, but realized that this was only I dream that could not be fulfilled. But thanks to you Norali, I have now succeeded to make a digital return. I wish you a prosperous time on the Angolan roads!
Hi Sven. Me too. I spent 2 years in Luanda, working for Volvo trucks, but later. I lived there in 2012/14 and revisited familiar places. Probably we have common friends.😊
Alaska's repair videos are always a hit with me. Whether in an established shop or a private garage or a side alley shelter, motorcycle mechanics make things work! 🙂👍👍
Welcome to 🇦🇴 Angola Luanda. 😊 I’m happy to see riding around my country and city Luanda. I wish a a wonderful stay in Angola 🇦🇴 Definitely Alaska deserved that full service, after all she have been through. Yes, beside all the problems and other things, Angolan people is a very happy people you will see that a lot. Our Petrol is very cheap when compared with other countries but we found it expensive when compared to the minimum wage of the country. Can wait for the next video.. ☺️
Noraly has been a global sensation in many ways. Her acceptance of fear with a smile, dare to go attitude, seeing the world through her eyes…an inspiration for all of us. Keep riding and we are behind you.
Yey!!! Am so happy to hear the "macho" sound of Alaska's muffler again! The hardened rust-colored mud that covered the muffler was insane! We really thought it was rust 😄 We had a good laugh too when the guys were calling you " amiga" then you blow them all with kiss! That would have made their day! Wow! In their daily life, its seldom they see a beautiful woman on a loaded big bike, and in full riding gear too, could also be the reason why they were happy even though you were served first at the gasoline station... I would surely feel the same seeing ItchyBoots' Noraly personally! Looking forward again to the next episode
Just cleared eight inches (20.32cm) of snow from my property. Now I am hunkered down in doors waiting for spring. Thanks for letting me live vicariously through your video.
I was in church this morning, a church I have been attending for 15 years, and I had 3 different people ask me if I had ever watched a RUclips show called Itchy Boots. And I of course replied that I never miss a video and all three times I had an extended conversation about your RUclips Channel. We are in Fort Worth, Texas. I think it is funny that I had 3 people in one day come talk to me about it. Thanks for the videos and I am glad that I know other people that watch you.
I had a similar experience while standing in the drs office parking lot. I was waiting on my husband to get done and of course I can’t miss an episode if there are any means possible to see it. I was leaning against my car and a man walked by and asked, “are you watching Itchy Boots”? He said he recognized her voice as he was walking by. Lot of us Itchy Booters out there 😁
I visited Angola in 1994. To watch this video was really interesting. Such a difference from my experiences in Angola for 30 years ago. The country has really changed!
Me, my wife and two sons have been waiting sooo long for your next video. We love watching your journeys across the world. All the best from Norway Noraly 🇳🇱🇳🇴
We all are smiling for Alaska, getting the royal treatment! 🏆♥️😁🙌🎶 Noraly takes us on adventures like no other! Bravo. Living Life to the fullest. And pulling right up to the gas station, as many waited. Woohoo!
Some sad memories of my Country of birth. Never ever returned to Angola, I'll never forget the atmosphere , gunfire and mortars in and around that city. Eloped in the middle of the night on a TAP 707 to Johannesburg after spending 3 nights at the airport before taking off with no lights on runway or aircraft for that matter watching my late Mother crying her eyes out as we circled on a left hand outbound to South Africa that would accommodate us as refugees in 1975.
I can't speak for her specifically - but on youtube travel vlogs, you're only seeing 20 minutes, out of perhaps a week of traveling. The most fun, nice or interesting parts are put into the vlog. I can imagine that most vloggers won't put in their lowest moments, because either they are concerned with other things than turning on a camera while going through an existential crisis, or they know that people might not want to see it and quit watching if there's a lot of negativity in the vlog - harming viewership and income. But one thing's for sure: Noraly never gives up. Even when things go really bad, next week she'll just be riding to another country again. I'm amazed.
Your sojourn has shown how nice people are wired to be but it's Politicians that are dividing us. Africans are lovely people. Thanks Noraly for showing Africa to the World.
When I see the word “Alaska” I no longer first think of the US state, rather, Noraly’s amazing Honda CRF Rally first comes to mind 😊 Must have been such a relief to see her get top notch service and parts. She looks amazing, even after the beating she’s endured. Looking forward to seeing the new equipment you got. Great episode, Noraly ❤
Good morning it’s Sunday February 18th. I enjoy your channel on RUclips so very much. My grandson Ian who will be 22 tomorrow just purchased a 2022 Honda 300 just like Alaska. It has been his dream for more than a year and a half; and now it’s a reality. You are an inspiration to him and as far as adventure you are “it”! Keep safe and know you are appreciated and loved by many. ❤
60k, hard terrain and a dip in the river will take its toll. Perfect shop to refresh the old girl. Now you relax with the fact she's all good. Safe travels and cheers 🍻
I know big cities are not your thing Noraly, but to see how you casually navigate through an unfamiliar capital city with no operating traffic lights is quite impressive! Let the wagering begin--- how long will Alaska have 2 intact mirrors?
Every day after working hard I'll make some coffee and sit back and watch your journey. What you have presented has made me forget my tiredness. Thank you Noraly, your journey has made me happy.
I fully agree, Noraly. West Africa is not for the faint-hearted. Southern Africa is pretty much what I would say is "Africa-light", whereas West Africa is truly hardcore.
“ Nothing can break me …” goes the background song , as they fix Alaska …. how apt . And that too for both of them- Alaska and Noraly. Noraly’s generous smile and hearty laughter wins them all , where ever she goes. As for her followers on RUclips , there are so many aspects that one is mesmerised with. I for one really loved her conversation with us viewers while riding when she explained all parts of Africa she has been to. The most important thing that keeps her going apart from her iron will is her care for her bike. Good job Noraly , you must be feeling much happier riding Alaska after the service. We feel the difference , believe me, when Alaska gets a good TLC. Ride safe … enjoy your ride !!
A beautiful day to ride to Luanda! The long lines for fuel were definitely strange and no wait next door! You found a great breakfast too! Luanda is a beautiful city and the bike shop was a great find! Glad you found great mechanics. Ride safe and thanks for sharing your day Noraly!
The long lines if you understood Portuguese very well the guy said they are on the line because the manager came and asked for organisation , that's why they were waiting. Regarding her being served in front of all of them, unfortunately that's how White people are treated in Angola , they get preference everywhere. It would happen to you as well.
Shiny new bike ? People won't believe you when you tell them where you have been and what you have done lol. The wear on those parts was scary but Alaska kept going. Luanda looks amazing - not what I had expected.
I'm fairly new in watching the Itchy Boots video series. Following Noraly is an infectious pursuit. Once you get started, it's hard to stop. I'm looking to get into motorcycling for the first time ever. This is adventure biking on steroids -- a fantastic overview of what to expect (expect the unexpected). Kudos to Noraly for her outstanding work!
Nice videos since 2018. I salute you, Noraly, for giving me hours of pleasure watching your videos over the years. Cabinda - According to the Treaty of Simulambuco of 1885 (between the Portuguese crown and the chiefs and princes of Cabinda) it was a protectorate of Portugal during colonial rule and was not part of Angolan territory. Upon Angola's independence in 1975, Angolan troops invaded Cabinda and declared it to be a province of Angola (half of Angolan oil production comes from Cabinda ...) despite Cabinda claiming to be a sovereign state but Its a unrecognized state. Obrigado e bem hajas.
This part of the country/city was built by the Portuguese. So you can see many colonial buildings around. However, the daily life of locals in their neighborhoods is miserable.
Itchy Boots is the ONLY channel from my lot of subscriptions that gets an automatic thumbs up even before watching her videos. I must say Luanda and Angola it is surprisingly clean, modern and orderly. Poor Alaska - now we can see the rough shape she was in but how fortuitous to have found this shop where she received such tender loving care. Bravo!!! And I reiterate the call to Honda to do right by Noraly, she has single-handedly raised the profile of not only Honda, but more specifically the 'CRF300 Rally' model ... COME ON HONDA!!! GO ITCHY BOOTS, GO ... 🏍🏍🏍
OMG that mechanic shop was amazing! So startling when u arrived in the city to see so many modern buildings after all this time in the jungle towns and villages❤
Poor Alaska is smiling again. Shop looked very professional because of its cleanliness. Your spirits will be rising again looking down at a clean refreshed bike. A far cry from standing in 10 inches of mud. 😊
The mechanics in Luanda did a fantastic job on Alaska. That must have taken so much worry off of your mind for the next leg of your trip. I don't know why, but I was ridiculously disappointed that they weren't able to get a new windscreen on for you. LOL I guess I just wanted to see Alaska back to her old self. And that horrible roads, roads block, corruption, misery everywhere and sorrow and danger. Yes, some decent people are there, but what you claim " Rich Africa" look as very bad joke. Can you rent some of your land for people as long are not Russian to help organise things better way ?
@@annateresa9814Being condescending is a trait that's mostly found in shallow minds
@@annateresa9814Africa is definitely developing and we shall get there on our own terms. It takes time to recover from the ravage of centuries of slave trade, colonial exploitation and neocolonialism. China has done it, so shall Africa❤💪🏾💯
@@gerrytushh As far I know Russia is already " helping".
@@annateresa9814 your post is pointless, unfortunately.
Alaska singing the "Nothing can break me" song was absolutely perfect! You are amazing, Norally.
I didn't catch that as I was so focused on watching everything they were doing. Stands to reason when Noraly plays music where we can hear the lyrics it has meaning behind it like most everything else in video. Peace!
Interesting song..fits the occasion
The song is Faster Car by Loving Caliber if anyone is interested
Noraly, I can't adequately express what your travel adventures do for me. I've just learned that I have stage 4 pancreatic cancer and amid all the preparations for chemotherapy and/or radiation treatments I can always depend on your channel to provide a relaxing tour of whatever country you are in. Thank you for producing these gems.

Thanks Angolans for showing the true African hospitality to Itchy Boots at the gas station ❤❤❤
Yes this was much better than Nigeria . Angola I think I will visit
No problem bro 🙏

No, this is true Angolan hospitality. She went through a lot of trouble in most African countries and extortion by corrupt police officers. The truth is that most African countries are unsafe and inhospitable.
@@jgxc8 I haven't visited the majority of the African continent's countries, but in the countries I visited people in average have been very friendly ( according to me ). But corrupt police I have met at many places.
Treat you like a celebrity at the fuel station. Glad to see Alaska getting some much needed love. You two have been through some epic adventures. Awesome video, thanks 😊
Norally is VVIP others queued for fuel and Norally got first priority, which was amazing
@@alexbit1389 they sent her in front...
Westerners always get VIP treatments in African countries. Wish the reverse were true. Not their fault tho. They have good governance which means good living which means money to spend which Africans cherish.
Well she is!
@@alexbit1389they knew who she was and waved her ahead so what’s the problem?
The episode at the gas station: Noraly unknowingly cuts to the front of the long line of people waiting. When the guys protest, the attendant justifies serving her first by saying "é minina" - it's a girl. Then everyone sends kisses to her. 😂
Sensacional explicação!! Sou falante de português e não havia percebido!! Obrigado
Not just any girl. But still a mystery to me that they are just waiting when there is at least some petrol to pump.
If you watched the vid you should know that she was told to go in front and TALK to the service people. They made the call, check the vid again. She did not jump the line.
Correct!@@caddyrack
I heard it.🤣🤣🤣
As a Portuguese, I like to see the huge improvements since I was in Luanda the last time. Nice to see some places when I lived for 5 years before the Independence also. University na Marginal, Office of my father and others. Congratulations
Parabéns amigos Angolanos pelas melhorias que são bem visíveis desde Cabinda até Luanda. Grande profissionalismo na oficina.
Noraly, you are special. Good luck for East Africa
I wonder how many people can claim to have ridden a motorbike after it took a swim... upsidedown!
What lovely people in Angola. 👍💚🌷🌿

You would think that Honda would sponsor her . Seems like a lot of free advertising.
I was thinking exactly the same thing, what’s a little sponsorship going to cost Honda, for a world traveler on a Honda motorcycle…duh!
@@tchin2020 Exactly, considering all the crashes Marquez cost them in last year's MotoGP!
Honda doesn't need more exposure. They're already #1.
Mad respect to those bike mechanics and shop owner. Very organized, clean and well funded shop. Be blessed 🙏🏽 bye.
This African Trip is a real Adventure and a Thriller for us Itchy-Booters.

Luanda is one of the most attractive cities I have seen, and I have been around to say it in a humble way. I LOVE Angola now!
Luanda is indeed a beautiful city ❤.
It's about 400 years old.

Anyone else think Noraly would be the absolute best tour-guide on the planet?! So knowledgeable, so resourceful, so positive and pleasant!
Impossible ,she just like to ride alone ☺
Ambassador!
this is the nice part of Luanda. We also have the one that will make you feel sick on your stomach! 😅🤣😂
@@alexbit1389what good is privilege if you don’t use it? When people extend a courtesy it’s best to use it so as not to insult those extending the courtesy.
I too thought Alaska cleaned up and looked beautiful. The shop definitely had a special cleaner and process to get it looking that good. Not just soap and water! Peace!
If you watched the vid you would have seen that she was told to go in front and TALK to the service people. Your IGNORANCE is shameful! Cheers@@alexbit1389
@@alexbit1389 but people were waving her over to the pumps that she used, and they were happy to accommodate her.
I couldn’t stop watching your channel. In reality, ppl in Africa are friendly, nice and welcoming.
Alaska looks like her old self, minus the windshield. So good to see her getting what she needed. Both of them actually.

I like the mechanics question, "How can we help?" Very professional. Very friendly.
I wish a a wonderful stay in Angola 🇦🇴
Definitely Alaska deserved that full service, after all she have been through.
You are brave Noraly. Keep showing us the world we wanted to see but could not. Stay blessed.
I'm brazilian and is amazing to see Noraly speaking in portuguese again! God bless you ❤
Watching you from Zambia! Africa! Nice Video! Luanda looks better than most European Cities? Hey! I cannot believe that is Africa!
Yey!!! Am so happy to hear the "macho" sound of Alaska's muffler again!
The hardened rust-colored mud that covered the muffler was insane! We really thought it was rust 😄
We had a good laugh too when the guys were calling you " amiga" then you blow them all with kiss!

I was in church this morning, a church I have been attending for 15 years, and I had 3 different people ask me if I had ever watched a RUclips show called Itchy Boots. And I of course replied that I never miss a video and all three times I had an extended conversation about your RUclips Channel. We are in Fort Worth, Texas. I think it is funny that I had 3 people in one day come talk to me about it. Thanks for the videos and I am glad that I know other people that watch you.
Awesome! Peace!
Lot of us Itchy Booters out there 😁
Bring this all to TV.
I don't have words in my mouth to tell you how much respect and consideration i have for a woman like you . I learned so much from you .

I'm amazed.

Your grandson will love it. They are incredible bikes. The only thing that keeps me off mine is snow and sub freezing temps
Expert mechanics. Alaska was in good hands.
And she got her own song. "Nothing can break me".😊
The mechanics in Luanda did a great job and they probably never even realized or cared that they were working on the legendary Alaska.
60k, hard terrain and a dip in the river will take its toll.
Perfect shop to refresh the old girl.
Now you relax with the fact she's all good.

I know big cities are not your thing Noraly, but to see how you casually navigate through an unfamiliar capital city with no operating traffic lights is quite impressive! Let the wagering begin--- how long will Alaska have 2 intact mirrors?
🤣😂😄
Haha…we’ll see😀😀
I give it two countries before Alaska loses a mirror. :)

Noraly...!!! You, Alaska and your adventures are the best. It's so remarkable how you are able to manage all different kind and label of stress.👍👍👍
I've been to Luanda many times heading to off shore jobs. Never had a negative experience.
Luanda really suprised me how beautiful city it is.
Loved this episode. The breakfast, the petrol, the traffic lights and that motorcycle shop. And the views. My God, Angola, you are beautiful!
It is indeed a beautiful country.
I travel regularly through it ❤
It’s always so nice when a bike gets a good full service and TLC. Makes me smile.
Shiny new bike ? People won't believe you when you tell them where you have been and what you have done lol. The wear on those parts was scary but Alaska kept going. Luanda looks amazing - not what I had expected.
For an African country right? People.
After everything that has come before, and recently. In comparison it’s amazing and cutting edge. Just a statement of fact.
Your not expecting that cause is a african country right?
Upon Angola's independence in 1975, Angolan troops invaded Cabinda and declared it to be a province of Angola (half of Angolan oil production comes from Cabinda ...) despite Cabinda claiming to be a sovereign state but Its a unrecognized state.

well-organized? not by a long shot! I've been living here for 57 years!
This part of the country/city was built by the Portuguese. So you can see many colonial buildings around. However, the daily life of locals in their neighborhoods is miserable.
Well except for no working traffic lights.
