I really like the dad's role, in the background. He gives enough support, without being overbearing. He allowed his kid to take over his shop (awesome dad!!), and lets him do his own thing, but still while keeping an eye on him. A lot of parents are too restrictive, and shut-down their kid's creativity, while other parents don't pay enough attention and their kid ends up in constant trouble. But I think in this story, Cain's dad is an admirable example of a patient, loving balance.
I had to watch these videos for a grad school class assignment. I must say, you are a great man for doing what you did for that little boy! I wish the world had more people like you in it. Watching his story made me cry happy tears and I had to keep pausing the video to dry my eyes. I work with autistic children and I see the creativity and passion they have when other people just see them as children with a "problem." Thank you for what you did and continue to do for children of all walks of life.
I am also watching these videos for a grad school class assignment. Nirvan, you are awesome! There needs to be more people in this world like you! Education needs to be reinvented, as our current system is obsolete; Caine is the example we need to follow!
This is sooooo beautiful! It is amazing what happens when you give a child the proper attention and let them expand their creative nature. Sooooo amazing. Love!
my son just had this even for his kindergarten class, and it was a success. we made a fishing arcade and the other kids in his class made amazing games. it was fun for everyone.
I used to make weird cardboard contraptions like he did but as I went into the age of 9 I new I was not destined to be an innovator, which actually made me happy because I thought I would be stupid growing up like this. I'm just happy that Caine was able to make my day, knowing that this hobby is still going on!
This is what inspires me to become a teacher and a fun one! lol Because education is far beyond the basics of reading, writing, and math, but making it fun. Children should never feel stressed about learning, but enjoying it...This is truly inspiring!
Every time I watch Caine's video it makes me cry! I grew up in East L.A. in the 80s- it was a good time to be a kid. Caine reminds me of that childhood and also my 7 year old nephew Xavier. Seeing Caine's eyes full of wonder and face of pure innocence and imagination, makes me want to be a kid again. Thanks Caine and ELA.
the fact that most kids are so close to technology now makes me fear there will never be anymore kids like Caine. We need more kids with amazing creativity at a young age.
What an incredible story. I love seeing where this is going and for it's already gone. All, because a little boy got to play around and use his imagination. no ridicule, no discouraging, just let him play and look at him go!! I love it!! I hope there is so much more this has become over the years now.
despite being 21 years old , everytime I see a big cardboard box I instantly feel the need to get in it, it's because of this kinds of people, foundations and videos I have never lost my love for creativity and couriosity, thanks so much, now it's my turn to spread this and be inventive.
I'm so glad that Caine is still doing well & I'm glad that his arcade inspired other kids to make their own games! The Imagination Foundation is such a great idea to continue fostering this type of boundless creativity.
Nirvan, I was impressed by what you did a year ago. I'm absolutely flat-out in awe of how you've built on what you did back then to get to where you are now. Congratulations.
My son in grade 8 is doing this with his class right now in Canada (at home during virtual schooling due to covid19). This was an amazing movie to watch, part 1 & 2. Love the minds of our young! And the support of all the people!
This video truly touched my heart. I have been working with children for 15 years and every time I feel burned out and think I want to do something else, someone like Caine changes my mind. You are an awesome kid! Nirvan you are a great humanitarian. Both of you keep up the great work!
As a kid I built a school store in my friend's jungle gym; we also had a "bike show" that we performed in the neighborhood. Unfortunately the Imagination Foundation didn't exist yet, and people just called me creative. I am now 35, and after years of going from job to job, I finally met a mentor who has helped me re-discover who I really am: An Entrepreneur (not someone who can't hold a job). I am so happy kids today have a the Imagination Foundation to support them as entrepreneurs!!
i remember i used to make stuff like this all the time.. no one really gave a crap about it so i just ended up growing out of it.. i regret letting that imaginative spark die but it makes me feel good that a kid was given that opportunity to do it. this has relit the spark.. to just create however it looks with the express intent of just doing something. It opens up the mind and more importantly your heart
Caine is such an inspiring kid. Caine had a big dream, and with some hard work and hope and dreams, anything can become true. He inspired me to build my own arcade. Thank you Caine! 😀
Wow really people a 9 year old boy nearly had his dream crushed then it succeeded and you hate it will you are jealous that a 9 year old boy followed his dream and you are all afraid of following your dreams so yeah I'm following my dreams you know once I'm in high school and able to choose to be a zoologist
I absolutely love this! It's amazing when kids use their imagination and creativity to build things with their own hands instead of relying on technology to entertain themselves!
I've been feeling rubbish lately, I don't know why. However, after seeing what a tiny fraction of a difference my donation is making and all the help from everyone else. Seeing the outcome so far on this video has given me a massive smile, so thank you, and keep going!
Thanks RUclips Review 2013 for giving me a chance to watch it before the year ends. It doesn't make my day better. It makes my life better :) Cheers for Caine!
I love this!!! I am absulootley amazed a caine! im near the end of primary school and in class we are making our own arcade games! i am so proud of caine like every one I know wouldn't keep with something like that and would never think of doing that in a million years. so good on him
You know, it's great to see how some "old things" are becoming new again. It takes a lot of imagination to create new games, to enjoy playing just because, and to create, period.
Truly a fantastic and hope-injecting story. Caine has been very inspirational to my kids, and me,as well. Kudos to his father for giving Caine the space to grow and the support to develop his vision into what it is today. Serious props to Nirvan Mullick for what he has done to seed such a wonderful movement. The human soul is alive and well... Well, except for anyone that decides to hit the dislike button (248???)... seriously, get over yourself.
Caine's arcade inspired me! This is my lead video for a class I'm now facilitating as part of the Maker Movement....I hope to reach as many teachers as possible to reinvent teaching so we're giving students what they truly need to be part of their school success...hands-on problem solving, creating, inventing, thinking, collaborating, succeeding, thriving, and learning skills to become productive members of society
Really really cool guys. Caine, we're big fans of yours! Go Big and God Bless!

COMMON CORE in schools WILL KILL imaginations like this fine boy's!!!!!
THANK YOU
They've already killed this with taking out gym classes, music and art and that happened years ago.
trudifyable I have to do p.e and art.But I hate art. I can't draw and the teachers make fun of me
The way the american schools work is a one size fits all system, which is not true. Each child is different

I wonder how Caine is now...
After the hype died down.
Is he still being creative, did he finally make more friends?
He is good! He is doing well in school and still super creative.
He's still famous in fact, he's travelling the world.
This kid is awesome I wish I can visit there.
A card board arcade is awesome but working at a real arcade is depressing
Caine has still made me happy when i see that smile show up on his face.
I made a arcade too not big well small I was inspired by you you are doing great keep up the good work
***** you should report the comments as Hate Speech as I have done.
Thank you guys for inspiring other kids to rediscover fun away from screens and wires. Caine you are awesome!!!
always remember to make, create, invent, and explore! : )
Wondering how many other people had tears of hope and joy rolling down their cheeks while watching this ?
Dude he is probably going to be rich just from his imagination, like Einstein said imagination is more important than knowledge
Caine deserves a Nobel Peace Prize for inspiring the creativity of an entire generation of children.
2:40 ahh yes, my favorite arcade game “CAR WASH”
I'm so glad that Caine is still doing well & I'm glad that his arcade inspired other kids to make their own games! The Imagination Foundation is such a great idea to continue fostering this type of boundless creativity.

Why would anybody thumb down imagination and creativity, inspired by such a wonderful little/now big little man?
I love this video and I will raise money for my school by making my own arcade. I will make it at my school's fair and at my house
If you did it already, did it go well? If it didn't happen yet, good luck!
