      He's being treated like the boogeyman, which is so unexpected. May have to do a follow up video on Turki if this continues.

    Agreed, JP definitely getting left out for lack of knockout wins, but disagree that he's not an exciting boxer. JP is a throwback to a back-in-the-day type fighter. He can knock people out or win by points. He's shown what he's made of on more than one occasion. Got up after the getting knocked down by Whyte, got up after getting knocked down by Chang, kept fighting against Joyce. He's definitely better than most people give him credit for and definitely will be a problem for most top heavyweights.
    Imagine, put yourself in JP's position. Your only life line after getting knocked out by Joyce is to face Wilder and even then you're considered cannon fodder, a warm up, a ten minute practice run for a cool few millions. No one gave JP a chance except maybe some of his countrymen. At that time, outside of the Fury fights, Wilder was still ranked in the top three and considered a threat. There was speculation about his ability to box and his punching power. Parker put one of those speculations to rest. I think Parker would have chinned Wilder if he landed more clean shots.
    Parker takes on Chang, a fighter no one in the division wants to take on. A fighter who knocked out Joyce, the guy who knocked out JP. Chang toesed Joyce up, twice. Parker definitely showed his courage in that fight. Physically, mentally and spiritually he became stronger in that fight.
    I hope he gets his chance soon and doesn't get frozen out too long. As you say, inactivity has cost many fighters of late.

    Parker is at the perfect prime of his career and all the HW's know that right now fighting JP would be a risk.

      He's actually past his prime, which is what makes this new run he's on evem more impressive. He's gotten better technically but his athleticism is not what it once was, which is normal.

    GOOD QUESTION WHY IS JOSEPH PARKER IS NOT GIVEN HIM A FIGHT?

  • @cavieman136
    @cavieman136 День назад +2

    Yep, it's disgraceful. And he is now stronger, fitter and more skilled than he has ever been in his professional career. He has finally got his strength, conditioning and nutrition on point with George Lockhart and I would consider Parker now, at his most dangerous. This is clearly the influence of "key" promoters, showing their influence. If it wasn't, he would be fighting. People are constantly saying Turki and the Saudi's are controlling the fights, well they are right to a point, but Turki needs the top promoters (mainly British) to both guide him and he needs access to "their" stable of fighters. Joseph, needs to take "keep busy" fights. The best ones he can get, without it being to high risk, otherwise he will lose momentum. And when he takes them, make sure the public are behind him through his own promotion. He also needs to knock them the fck out when does take those keep busy opponents.
    Also consider signing with an American promoter , rather than putting all your eggs in the British basket (although it appears he isn't signed with anyone at the moment) . If quality fighters don't get regular fights - the HW division will diminish quickly into low end knock out fests.

    Nice take mate, I think JP is at a cross road, he won't fight Fury, Dubois may wait to fight winner of Fury vs Oysk..don't want him fight someone who could muck up his chance for a title shot...This is the only down fall I don't like about boxing 4 world titles, rematch clauses really slows the division down...Love to see JP vs Dubois money fight in Saudai.

    You'll find that it all comes down to money. Saudi are calling the shots, there the ones putting up the money for big fights. And they, like the fans, want to see Knock-outs. Parker is not a Knock-out artist. Hence the interest in him is low.

    I think with the joyce ko well he got up so technically ref waved it off wasnt face down like aj but he obviously was sick joyce won on the day no qualms about that but should have rescheduled whyte well headbutt to win wasn't a true knockdown parker is exciting at times and deserves a shot plus isn't he who interim like the wba regular people call the regular a world tittle so shouldn't parker be two time lol.

    Parker takes on Chang, a fighter no one in the division wants to take on. A fighter who knocked out Joyce, the guy who knocked out JP. Chang toesed Joyce up, twice. The mental hurdle Parker had to overcome in training for that fight must have been massive. And having to maintain that mental toughness when he got knocked down during the fight. Parker definitely showed his courage in that fight. Physically, mentally and spiritually he became stronger in that fight.
