Always best to read the instructions before doing a review so that you know that the 'Eye' LED is for optical slave, not 'anti-redeye', and that the 'Snail' is for fast recycling (with some loss of quantity of flashes), not, as you state, fast and slow charging. Great units all the same.
Yes the Hybrid version is a MUCH Lighter pack.. It uses a lithium ion battery pack that weighs close to Nothing.... Also it increases the flashes by 3 times as the lead based batteries!

You say "Standard A-head"
A-head stand for Action, shorter duration and more expensive, and S-head stands for Standard.
Witch one is it?
Yes the A head is more expensive.. Great strobe regardless which one you get
