The video makes Vanessa seem more like a villain than the main protagonist, which is a shame. There were tons of moments from her that showed her empathy and kindness which were just as strong.
I suppose "Best of.." is subjective, but these scenes show only the most extreme dark side of Vanessa Ives. Her character (and Eva Green's performance, and the BRILLIANT writing) is SO much more nuanced and multi-dimensional than is shown here. This smacks of a struggling streaming service trying to draw viewers with sensationalism. Don't get me wrong - these are strong scenes, and this series was one of the very best shows ever produced, and deserves to be discovered by new viewers. I just think Paramount/Showtime could do a better job of promoting it than presenting a numbered "Best of" featuring only one aspect of a character that ALWAYS deserved better than what she got.
Great great show, one of the best I've seen!!! All the cast is amazing and I love Eva Green so much. You have to see Penny Dreadful at least once in your life 👍👍👍💙🤍❤️
I absolutely adore this show... best TV series I have ever watched ❤ Truly remarkable cast & characters, cinematography & music score. Eva Green put her heart & soul into the role & the show is all the better for it... how she did not win an oscar for her performance on PD is an absolute crime! I wish we had had two more seasons, but sadly... it was not to be. I miss you, Vanessa 😢
I wish they would somehow revive the show by making John Clare take her to Dr. Frankenstein, there were so many issues left unresolved like what will happen to Ethan’s demons. But obviously each actor’s circumstances have changed and I wouldn’t want a recast 🥲
My god I loved everything about this show: the 3 seasons, the additional comic book season, the City of Angels 4th season, every moment with Eva Green. Not much compares to it
All of Eva Green's scenes are just stunning. My favorites shown here are in A Blade of Grass and And They Were Enemies. Vanessa Ives was such a complex being. She was the one thing that the fallen ones feared, and that is why they desired her submission. I love the implications of her being reborn in different lives, as Lilith and as Amunet. John Logan really outdid himself with this series. I am thankful that he was able to write an ending for it, even if it came all too soon. Not many shows are allowed to have an ending these days, because execs are all too eager to cancel them after a season and air something new. Edit: Just found out today 12/20/2024 that Penny Dreadful is currently available to stream for free with ads on PlutoTV.
She speaks the forbidden tongue with more authority than the witches, Dracula, or Satan. She has free will, and Satan and Dracula are fallen angels. It could also be because she reads from the forbidden black book of season 2 and her name was removed from the book of creation.
Amazing Show!!! Maybe her best work!! But I fell in love with Eva Green before, with Vesper!... Hey, Ms. Green, I do love you, and I hope to work with you someday... I'll write a good story for you soon!!! My dream is you and Al Pacino together in a movie!! All the Best, "my" Sweet Little Witch! ✌️🖖🧙
Funny how Season 3 series final Vanessa vs. Dracula didn't make it as one of her top 10 moments while the same episode of season 1 (possession) made it more than once in this same list. Whoever made this list doesn't get the show.
This is disappointing. Her entire character - whether she was human vanessa or amunet vanessa - bases her Being as the neutral battleground by which evil or good had the same potential to win. And these scenes do little to exhibit a fraction of this battle. E.g where are the incredibly tragic and beautifuloments she had in showing kindness to Frankenstein's creature? The parts where she shows her vulnerability?
This one of THE BEST SHOWS to have ever been made. Loved Vanessa and every other character in the show,
The video makes Vanessa seem more like a villain than the main protagonist, which is a shame. There were tons of moments from her that showed her empathy and kindness which were just as strong.
They were probably going for the most memorable/impactfull
True words! For example, the day she met Dorian Gray was so beautiful, so many other moments too.
So this is a sign to watch the show again ❤️
well acted well scipted and the cinematography is out standing we need more of this!!!!!
Eva's performance is outstanding, she deserved more recognition for this role.

True, her shopping with her "non husband" or rejecting dorian grey should be on her top 10
She's one of the best actresses of all time!!!
Great great show, one of the best I've seen!!! All the cast is amazing and I love Eva Green so much. You have to see Penny Dreadful at least once in your life 👍👍👍💙🤍❤️

I miss you, Vanessa 😢
Incredibly, beautiful talented actress.
Now THIS is performance
You’ve not seen the *God Logic* podcasts debates!
Wish you didn't cancel this too early... One of the best shows.
One of the few shows worth paying for

The Yennefer of Vengerberg we deserved in the series
Ms Green is flawless in everything
Best acting I’ve ever seen
I have watched the entire 3 seasons many a times. But seeing this video, makes me want to watch it +1 more..
One of the best series I've seen 👏
Need more of this! I'm doing a rewatch of the series. It's so good.
😂 She is SO dramatic! I love it!
I've seen 👀 Penny 'Dreadful three times, and Miss Green's performance was simply DIVINE🤗❤❤❤❤❤
Bring this series back and make season 4 using the comics. Forget about the City of Angels lol
My god I loved everything about this show: the 3 seasons, the additional comic book season, the City of Angels 4th season, every moment with Eva Green. Not much compares to it
lesson learned: anytime someone starts snarling an ancient and unknown language, it's time to get OUT
I need to rewatch this show again
Eva gave SO MANY Oscar worthy performances in this series. That woman can ACT!
Bring this back
Extremely impressive acting.
Eva Green's performance is sublime, powerful and heartbreaking. I never got over the termination of this series.

Oh how I miss Vanessa Ives. I cried like a baby during the last episode.
I miss this show it had more potential .
I have yet to witness such a spectacle again. Still waiting...
Vanessa Ives, the scorpion witch !!!
Oh how I miss this show
Bring it it back!

She reminded me of Robin Sena, the "Eve of Witches" in Witch Hunter Robin.
Vanessa Ives goes down in history as the saddest most depressing and tragic character on a tv show
Anyone know what language she was speaking?
Amazing Show!!! Maybe her best work!! But I fell in love with Eva Green before, with Vesper!...

Wish it had a longer run, but I guess it's better to end and epic than continuing on in tedium for a paycheck
New season when???
Funny how Season 3 series final Vanessa vs. Dracula didn't make it as one of her top 10 moments while the same episode of season 1 (possession) made it more than once in this same list. Whoever made this list doesn't get the show.
👏🏼👏🏼
Eva Green IS AN ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC ACTRESS and STUNNINGLY BEAUTIFUL WOMAN!!!
They don't make shows like this anymore.
It's like it's not even trying to show her good points!
GREAT SERIES! Wish it would have been longer.
TV was so much better before the woke mind virus
😮 I was the 666 like
