"Spawn point diff" I'm just waiting for it 💀

Spawn point diff doesn't matter when people throw by being afk at start of game or after every death. If you respawn and don't move out of the spawn within 10sec it should be classed the same as leaving the game. Insta mark against your account.

@@EssUchiha you have about 8 seconds while dead to think "hmmm should i swap hero" (which you should already know what their team comp is). If it takes to about 18sec to think, swap, and walk out the door which is a couple of metres in front of you. then you need another game to play. i suggest solitaire

You guys are gasligbting yourselves to be honest. In MOST games it won't make a difference. Ofncourse if you average all games out in all of overwatch yes. But the likelihood of this effecting an individual game is close to 0

In Counterstrike people take note of what spawn they have at the start of the round to optimize where they can reach before contact with the enemy team. Obviously the game is labbed much harder than is possible or relevant to Overwatch; but unbalanced spawns isn't necessarily bad game design imo.

The spawn area after you lose the objective on Numbani is the one I hate the most. I'll be playing Mercy. We lose point and then everybody is just staggering going out one by one and I haven't even gotten to them yet.

As a person trying to become a game dev. This pisses me off. I spend extra time on my sprites trying to make sure the hitbox is as accurate as possible meanwhile AAA Devs are doing this.
You can feel it in game too. Coming out of one spawn vs the other I know I’m either going to swing the corner first or get swung first. It’s weird but even though it’s barely any distance it does change how you engage initially. It’s so strange that it’s like this. Like when both teams have lucio and rush point. One team makes it there slightly quicker and takes more space.

It’s more lack of attention to detail by the overwatch dance. They literally have to put in these measurements, but somehow still fuck it out.
For me on COD it’s the heady spots from side to side that make me scratch my head sometimes

Now everyone can use this as an excuse as to why they lost 💀 I have noticed on certain maps we never get to the same point at the same time but it’s never really been make or break.
A reminder: That half second means not only are you *always" in position first, they suffer that time loss on *every single death*

The dev team should just measure every maps spawns points and add speed boosts to the slower maps spawn room for the first few seconds of the round in the spawn room to make up for lost time lol

@@crazyfrog5552 pro play exists- as you said the ‘basement dwellers’ need that 0.3 seconds. Another thing is the people or person that looked into this is a creator that looks at game impacting bugs as his content so his work is doing this.
Lets be real here, it is a difference maker for sure, but odds are it will rarely ever be what actually decides a game or not. Thats still like 95% just dont screw up teamfights.
But... That 5% definitely shouldnt be ignored on maps that are mirrored, and Im baffled that something this simple has managed to get fucked up... Or at least thats what I would say but its ow2, so this is just another day in the park.

only on very VERY specific over time situations, but how often are you half a second away from clutching
The maps are played millions of times. Any difference will show up statistically because of that and then they use win/loss rates to buff or nerf characters without spending the minimal effort to fix the map spawn points.
Only when it's over time and you're on the way to help your team but they all die before you get there and you could have saved it, if only you made it there half a second sooner
100% it can. The amount of times I thought I touched point in time and didn't and we lost. I definitely will blame the spawns for that
I dont play OW but in valorant tdm the maps are mirrored and I still prefer a side on each map. Ithe only difference is I don't have a .2 sec advantage to justify it, I just feel it

As a cs player who played ow for a little bit a while back in 2019 like after 3 weeks of playing regularly I knew the spawn points were off just cuz of having that internal clock for timings in cs

While 0.1-0.3 seconds may not seem like much of a difference that adds up extremely quick over the course of the game
And ofcourse it's a big enough difference on who gets to push OT and who doesn't. Spawn diff fr fr.

Yall saying its cope dont realize in proplay .1 of a second literally changes everything, and were talking .3 here. When youre at the level where muscle memory can automatically lock in on ppl even the slightest offset in timing can leave the gunfight very imbalanced takes 2 seconds to think about b4 calling it cope🤷♀️🤷♀️🙄

This seems like such a crazy dev oversight and failure for 0 reason and most players wont even feel or ever be affected by the difference.
For all you saying it wouldnt make that much of a difference you arnt properly looking at it, you times it by 5 then times it by the amount of times your teams respawns then times it by 2 for the advnatage of the enemy team it starts to add up fast.

Means literally nothing for casual games. Competitive games this could be the difference between winning a tournament or not and that’s a big deal

Okay now someone tell me why when I demo an opponent in Rocket League, they always spawn in exactly the right spot to immediately stop our attack, like 95% of the time, but whenever I get demo'd I spawn on the wrong side.
