  • One amazing thing about Thomas Nelson is that they do not hold back the quality even on their cheaper Bibles. Whether you spend $20 or $120, you are going to get nice ribbons, a sewn binding, line matching, and a readable font. The KJV Large Print Thinline Vintage series is no exception. Great ribbons, great readability, nice cover, and only $19.99 on Christian book. Check out this video where I show you the wide range of amazing KJV Bibles you can get from Thomas Nelson!

    Haha atheist here, I find this a good resource for the type of research I like doing, looking into Christian culture as an outsider. This channel helped me get my first 10 bibles so far

      Atheist huh? What does it benefit a man to gain the whole world but loose his own soul?

    If Thomas Nelson had put that KJV vintage series out with the decorative drop caps like they have in the sovereign collection, that would have been a home run Bible. An absolute home run.

    I’m trying to decide between a Maclaren Series, a Preaching Bible, and a Sovereign Collection. Which one would you recommend the most?

    • @anickelsworthbiblereviews
      @anickelsworthbiblereviews  2 года назад +1

      The Sovereign is only KJV, the highest quality is genuine leather and what I would call between premium and non premium. The price is right though. The Maclaren and the preaching bible and have both KJV and NKJV are basically the same thing with a new name. If you prefer calfskin the preaching bible is a great option. They also have a goatskin, cowhide, and leathersoft in the Maclaren series depending on your budget. You really can’t go wrong. One last factor is red letter. The sovereign is a red letter, the Maclaren/Preaching Bible is not.

    I’m unfamiliar with the Thomas Nelson but I just purchased one.
    NKJV, End-of-Verse Reference Bible, Personal Size Large Print, Premium Goatskin Leather, Brown, Premier Collection, Red Letter, Comfort Print
    Hopefully that’s a good one?

      If you are talking about the giant print in the goatskin it is 9780785239345. But it is a red letter edition.

    In Toronto Canada. Bibles are expensive. I picked up a compact one for my daughter. It was a basic teal colour, but $36 before tax which is 13% here unfortunately

      @@anickelsworthbiblereviews I'm sure they're good, but I don't understand why that would make it more expensive. Ice cubes can improve a drink, but they're not expensive.

    I'll ask you what I asked another person reviewing the Vintage Bible... If it has contemporary comfort print, leathersoft, and no old-school pics, what makes it "vintage"? The other reviewer didn't know either.

    • @anickelsworthbiblereviews
      @anickelsworthbiblereviews  2 года назад +2

      I actually asked about that. The only thing that makes it vintage is their attempt to make the cover look like an older style and the layout. The line in the center is more of an old school thing. You will see some of your CBP Bibles with that older style layout.
