If I stand on the west attacking that side I click on the other tail as soon as it comes out to skip. Click the floor to make sure you don't stop moving if it dies while you're running over there.
That intro 🤣😂 for the tail phase i found it was easier to just attack the tail on the south side and then when the tail switches click straight over to the other side and then attack the new tail as soon as it's available and it will automatically give you that diagonal skip that you need.
