It's been dumping and pumping in this range for ages! It's technically just going sideways, sideways means generally stagnant. This dude is basing the economy off of his poll. Most people in that poll prob has less than a million dollar net worth… might as well ask some kids at toys r us!
No I'm basing this Analysis off of. McDonald's, Starbucks, Walmart, Target, Dollar General and other companies that have warned about the Consumer slowing down and pinching Pennies. Consumer Confidence on Friday Plummeted, GDP Q/Q that was estimated at 2.5% that actually came in at 1.6%.. this is based on Manufacturing/ ISM Services coming in Terrible for April.. last weeks -60k Job Miss on Non farms and the rise in unemployment. Looking at the U-6 Unemployment rate it's even worse. This analysis is based also on the FED's discussion of Neutral rates being higher, implying we may not even be restrictive yet.. at a time when it's obvious the economy is slowing.. I'm basing this on the 8 day green streak of the Dow. Dow stocks outperforming is a pretty good sign, funds that need to be invested are investing capital in defensive areas. I mean it doesn't take a very sophisticated investor to see what's happening. I'm also yes basing this on The survey I conducted, Most people watching this video are going to be in a better financial position with disposable income to invest.. if 55% of Us feel "bad and cutting back".. I can only imagine the average financial household.
I might be wrong about a recession.. but the markets are assigning a 0% chance of recession. It's without a doubt closer to 50%.. that means downside for stocks and upside to bonds. IMO
