Absolutely love the Embraer E-Jets, was the very first aircraft I qualified on when I got my first job as cabin crew. We were the launch customer of the Embraer 195. Lived that aircraft, so comfortable and a joy to operate.
Demand for planes won't go away anytime soon. Embraer can scoop up a lot of orders from Airbus and Boeing if they can design a plane competing with the A220 in passenger capacity. The financing is the real hurdle they have to overcome. The risks are plentiful. 🤔🌬️✈️
Problem is tho who is gonna support the move for expansion? At this rate it almost seems they would have to ask governments for it which would mostly say no.
This is one of the several troubles Boeing has been facing. The Air Force One program is an extremely expensive gamble to retrofit two non-commercially used Boeing 747-8s into presidential Air Force One/VIP standards. It's definitely not something that is going too well as originally planned.
Even then Boeing already knew that they won't make money in Air Frorce one project when they low ball their bid price to uppend competition. Several years past this project is now giving a bad taste in their mouth.
I'm still wondering why Embraer E2 isn't selling that well. Yeah, yeah, I know the US scope clause, but the world is bigger than the US. The Airbus A220, while a nice plane, is practically undeliverable. The 2 seats aisle 2 seats configuration is much better than 3/2 for A220 or 3/3 for A320 and 737.
A380 can't land at many airports due to weight. The 747 gets away with this because it's weight is distributed amongst the main gear better than the A380.
I think Embraer is asleep. It's suffocating every day. The A220 keeps selling while the E-2 doesn't fit in very well with airlines worldwide. The only plane that could eat into the market a little is the Comac 919 if it were certified worldwide. In many countries, a Comac 919 would be an excellent choice. If Bombardier had the capital and if Boeing hadn't played dirty with Bombardier, the C-Series would be a success in Bombardier's hands. Embraer would lose international market share anyway.

The fixed price deal for Air Force One was a good deal for taxpayers. If they managed it. Boeing failure to manage costs are their fault.
Bailout coming
Yay more Embraer updates!
I am already imagining all the defects on the new AF1s.
Thanks for the updates DJ.
What does Embraer need to do to sell more E-190/195 E2s?
Thanks Dj!!
BAE and Embraer should partner up together.

Should have bought a couple of A380s. Airbus would have built them for half the cost in half the time.
Airbus got an offer but refused since they would have to build them in the u.s and a380 production was in France

I believe it’s 3 not 2 AF1s being built.
2:54 “Than a standard 787”…should read…”Than a standard 747”
On these routes will they(All nippon) operate the 787, or 777

B777x should be next Air Force 1
anything new at air new zealand?
Lol.. USA is so broken
😂 yeah.
No clue if you are from the USA but kinda yes lol.
"...equipped with all the latest technology and safety requirements." Does that mean it comes with all bolts attached?
Lots of savings if you don’t include bolts for door plugs.
The script he wrote was a mess! Jesus , hire an editor
The starliner program will recover their loss.
Boeing will probably get their Air Force 1 losses back by tacking on extra charges to it's Air Force Military side.
The technology in these B747 will be outdated when they deliver the planes.
They should just pick Airbus and the A380 instead.
Right and put AB out of business because the EU wouldn’t want to pay for that!
I'm pretty sure airbuse refused the offer since it would be to expensive to make the a380s in America
$2 Billion per plane and there's cost overruns... The hell are they doing, buying the stocks back with that cost or are they just wasting time.
Boeing has become a joke.
10 years to build 2 planes.
How safe are the existing planes that are now 35 years old.

Airlines don't seem to agree with that assessment somehow. They prefer the economics of the 3-3 configuration.
Not only that, but the advantage of getting a 3-3 means you have 66% more passenger density and a lower cost per seat than a 2-2.
Mate, usd … billion? Just say … billion usd or something man. Great vid!
The USAF should reconsider the 747 and look at the 777X
I'm pretty sure it would be to small
Boeing can't eveñ get the Starliner working properly, let aĺone Air Force 1
Boeing has made trillions on military projects I don't feel bad at all for Boeing.
Is Boeing too big to fail? Me thinks so. The question is, who is paying for their return to stability?
There's plenty of spare A380s knocking around, so I guess one could be the future Air Force One.
Americans will never consider a non-American plane.
Secret Service will NOT allow that.
Cesna 172 holds 4 made in America

@@antonyh37 actually the A380 can land anywhere it's the stopping it might have problems with 😊
