Very nice, tastefully done. I can understand that you need more power. I have a 1962 Mini with a standard 1275 engine. Is there any reason that the lower half of the air filter box is not fitted?
The biggest Mini collector in the entire world is in Pretoria. He owns all of them, from the first one build, to the last one leaving the assembly line, including the princess "Diana" mini, and the only tractor that Mini build. He even restores them to the original paint for that specific car, absolute master, meticulous and perfectionist.
Hey guys I really enjoy these videos you post on true South African classics however at some stage it would be nice to actually hear what the car sounds like. So give us a taste of the motor sound, please.
Hold on. You said you wanted to learn more about the classic car industry by rebuilding a classic car, but then throughout the video all I heard was how others did all the work. The body, the engine, the wiring, etc. And how you wouldn’t recommend anyone do this work themselves, let “the professionals” handle it. Not trying to be mean, but all it sounds like is that you learned nothing, you just drove someone else’s work around after it was done and posted to RUclips. I have rebuilt two classic Mini’s now, did all of that on my own, learned a hell of a lot, and loved every minute of said education. I would recommend you buy another and do the same, and I have no problem pointing you in the right direction with said education.
Have you got any footage of you respraying and doing the bodywork? Or building the engine? No, you sent it all away, so you never restored this car, absolute bs, I actually restore cars myself, every little bit is done by me!
"Building a Ford will be easier than building any British car" what Ford are you planning on building that isn't based on a British platform?? The Capri is essentially British although the Perana is S.A spec....
you started reading? but your husband is a mechanic? you gonna tell us you didn't have him mentor you? seriously? nice mini, well done, but still, seriously?

Fantastic well done. If I ever had the time, I would wanna restore a Ford Mustang 1969 model. Eleanor from gone in sixty seconds movie
Eleaenor was a '67, and was a Foose design model in the remake in 2000, she was a '71 in the original movie , there was never a 1969 Eleanor
Car lookin' tasty as anything!
