- Hey everyone this week I just grabbed my phone and brought you along for a day in the life of an apartment painter! So I help run a family painting business and recently we have been super swamped with work so I decided to get out of the office for a few days and help with some of the paint jobs to help us get back on track! I do apartment repaints, and going to he transitioning to reglazing and refinishing, its a little easier on the body, but man I would never think about rolling repaints, im a airless sprayer type of guy, I hate rolling with a passion lol
Nice! where are you located? We let our guys do both . I prefer the roller but we have guys that spray . I usually only spray when all the flooring is being replaced.
@@BryanBuiltonly problem with the spray is you can’t touch up in the future, can only be sprayed again. That’s why I usually only spray ceilings.
What's your go-to Sherwin paint for apartments? Do you use ProMar 200, 400, or Property Solutions the most?
We mainly use pro mar 200 some 400 but i like the 200 . Have also used the behr I300 with pretty good results
@@BryanBuilt Nice. We have switched away from 200 due to cost and the fact that their "flat" paint isn't actually flat anymore it has a slight sheen. We primarily use 400 and Property Solutions for re-painting same color (mainly Property Solutions due it only being $10/gal). The Behr i300 is very good for the price too, and it has higher titanium content than any of the promars and higher solids by volume %. We have found it covers better too. It's $20/gal but a far better value than promars now
