He had a lot more than 9.82 in him. He started to look across early and was easing down 10 meters out. He needs to run through the tape and drop that habit, it will cost him a big race one day. The Americans have 4 sprinters who he will line up against at the Olympic finals.
Oblique is a humble and very focused young man with a great future! I am predicting that he will be the next Bolt.

When Shacarri said insulting things about Jamaicans they did not reprimanded her. They just don't want Oblique to win. But if it's god's will there is nothing they can do. That's unfair. Going into the Paris Olympics Oblique should generate a fluid start , build his stamina for accelerating quickly into the second fifty metres. This way Noel Lyles will only cross the line after Seville
Lyles is also the reigning World Champ, not just the American Champ. I honestly think Lyles spent too much time trying to ingratiate himself to the Jamaican fans only to discover the Jamaican fans were not there for him. They were there for their own.
