  • Seville vs. Lyles - A 100m Showdown Years in the Making
It all started at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest. Noah 'Hype Man' Lyles claimed the 100m title with a time of 9.83 seconds. He strutted, he boasted, and he even promised more golds to come.
Fast forward to June 1st, 2024, at the Racers Grand Prix in Kingston. Seville was ready to make his mark. Coached by Glen Mills, the mastermind behind Usain Bolt, Seville was on a mission. This was his turf, his moment, and he was not about to let Lyles steal the spotlight again.
As the men lined up for the 100m final, the tension was palpable. The world champion, Noah Lyles, versus the Jamaican sensation, Oblique Seville.
With a world-leading time of 9.82 seconds, Seville not only set a new personal best but also delivered a world of hurt to Lyles' ego. Lyles, trailing behind at 9.85 seconds, got a taste of his own hype medicine."
Seville's triumph wasn't just a win; it was a statement. 'Hype all you want, but when it comes to the track, I'll be the one crossing the line first in Paris.'
    What do you think?

He had a lot more than 9.82 in him. He started to look across early and was easing down 10 meters out. He needs to run through the tape and drop that habit, it will cost him a big race one day. The Americans have 4 sprinters who he will line up against at the Olympic finals.

When Shacarri said insulting things about Jamaicans they did not reprimanded her. They just don't want Oblique to win. But if it's god's will there is nothing they can do. That's unfair. He beat Lyle's accept. You can't win all the time and you sure can't lose all the time. He might had a kind message with his saying I won this. God's will he will go even faster next time.

Oh yeah. OUR first Olympic Gold was in 1948 while a British colony. So child google these names: Arthur Wint, Herb McKinley, George Rhoden, Les Laing, Lennox Miller, Grace Jackson, Merlene Ottey, Juliet Cuthbert, the 4x4 men's team of Roxbert Martin, Daviann Clarke, Greg Haughton and Danny McFarlane, Winthrop Graham, Dinsdale Morgan, Donald Quarrie, Michelle Freeman, Deon Hemmings, Melaine Walker, Michelle Freeman, Brigitte Foster-Hylton, Kaleise Spencer, Novlene Williams-Mills, Loraine Fenton-Graham Veronica Campbell-Brown leading into the CURRENT generation. Also google Donovan Bailey and Linford Christie who won Gold for Canada and GB respectively both born and raised in Ja BEFORE going overseas prior to adulthood. Sandra Farmer-Patrick who ran for the US IS Jamaican. So too Sanya Richards-Ross who ran for Immaculate Conception High here in high school championships prior to migrating IS Jamaican. Gabby Thomas is of JAMAICAN descent as is the UK's Dina Asher-Smith. Japan's TOP sprinter Sani Brown IS also of JAMAICAN descent. Inger Miller who ran for the US is the daughter of JAMAICAN Olymoian Lennox Miller. Not only have we produced high calibre athletes for ourselves, we have had our people migrate and run for others with great success and several people across different countries with JAMAICAN descent are also high calibre athletes. So yh. There. Learn something little one because only someone young could be so ignorant of T&F history and if you not, it's just disgraceful.

Listen guys .. listen ...the season is still fresh .... When Noha get a even start it's over ..... He had better top end speed .... Noha is new to the 100m he kind of start it around 2022 .... He is a 200m guy .... So it will take time for him but he will get there .... Seville is a Super talent no doubt in that ..... But so is Noha also .....

@user-rv3uoBfw8w What does that even mean?
Meanwhile Noah getting his start right, what you think that will be doing in the meantime?
Everybody seen that young kid running 9.8s while he was still injured since he was 21 with his legendary coach behind him..
Noah Lyles always have a problem with his start if he’s not false starting, you guys keep confusing the 100M for the 200M where he can make up for whatever bad start with his top end speed..
Now you see that Noah’s top end speed takes too long to develop in the 100m against this kind of speed this kid keep improving on..
