Me next Keith haha it's fantastic seeing Glenn going back to being a 10-year-old opening a special present! but I was getting a bit concerned with him and that stanley knife! So easy when excited to have a mishap!
F@$k yeah Glenn wow what a super duper cool race car I am envious. That red shell you should put a hotshot decals on it. Great video Glenn mate and Keith your da man 👍👍
What a gift! Mate you have to go box art with this one, that 501 just looks the business done like that. Don't get me wrong I like what you have done especially that wing, it needed tidying up but it looks awesome box art
Nice score Glenn. I have one of these, bought it back when they were fairly new as I'd never owned a really 'good' chassis before. It was a pleasure to build, a bastard to wire and set up and I never painted the body as I just didn't like it enough. I still have it kicking around somewhere. Later on I bought a 502/511 body, which while not as defined as the 501 at least looks like a buggy. They are lovely buggies that do drive well.
I am just pleased you didn't cut your finger off Glenn lol it could be easily done when really excited and you're itching to get the box open especially when you know there's something special in it! Glenn such fruity language too buddy! Haha! Keith is a real legend ain't he! What a guy. Never really been into these but respect where credit's due they are hellish buggies! Really worth doing indeed looks well indeed Glenn! Awesome! I don't think this needs to be in box art it's my opinion looks bang on to me! Cheers James.
Great video. If you do a new shell, paint it in the trf scheme, but maybe switch the colours. Maybe swap the pink for an orange or green. Just an idea…
Great job Glenn! Love seeing them with the original “as used” race bodies! Love to see a trf off road recap video of what you have. Glad the wheels were off use to you as well! Kudos to Kieth - awesome surprise!!!!!
I liked it the way it was but with the yellow wheels.. if you decide to strip it completely at a later point put it in a bath of purple power and that’ll take all the paint off so you can repaint it as you wish, but that being said it looks good in the end
Awesome vid Glenn 👍, and yet again I am blown away with Keith's generosity! Watching you open that box reminded me of my kids opening their Xmas presents 😁. The car is amazing, but (sorry 🙁), I would have stripped everything and gone with the Tamiya metallic blue (Avante colour) and black windows (I would have painted and lacquered externally if required). Regardless it is a fantastic addition to your collection and again, thank you for sharing 👍.
That's a thing of beauty and no mistake. Until the body goes on, and then it's a double bagger. I can't think of any proper race buggies I like the bodies on though, so that's pretty much par for the course. That being said, tidying the shell and trimming the wing does make a massive difference. Props to Keith, what a legend.
Thats a sweet chassis, cant believe you swore 😂 its turned out great, but once you get the new shell done it will look a lot better and will be keen to see a full line up shot of all your TRF collection 👌
I think put a new shell and wing on it but how about leaving them clear to show that awesome chassis off as you have trf colours on the others? That would look cool next to the rest on show! 👌🏻
You’ve brought it back to life 🎉and it looks epic 👌 I totally agree that less is more I would leave it now personally. It’s great, such a great buggy it looks amazing and yes your friend Keith is the man 😎👍
Great video Glen! Was really hoping you were going to take it for a run! But your latest vid on RC legends explains why you didnt! Good to hear your now working over there, what do you do for a living?
Cool car those wheels bring the car alive. Were the big bore aeration shocks a hop up from these ones, seems weird they run the smaller shocks, and could you get different springs for these ones to fine tune?
Maybe try smoking the windows? Just a light coat. Car looks great, but i think it's a bit of a shame to change the way the car looks when you get an ex racer like this. I like to leave them as they were raced back in the day. Do another shell if you want something different.
I love sending you TRF cars. So much enthusiasm! Love it!
You are simply a very kind gentleman Keith

You're a good man Keith.

Glenn you lucky boy Keith is such a good friend 👍👍👍👍
You sure are right about Keith Glenn, he is a very kind soul. A friend of a lifetime.
Nuffin up His Sleave Mate?
One would ponder Andy?
Wake up Sunshine.
@@jonoedwards4195 Seems odd to me to be giving things away like that. Theres always an angle?

Wow when I first saw the finished product against that white background my eyes on it popped out of my head! Great job!
Changing the wing made a huge difference. Awesome car
hahaha brilliant video.. love how many times you get lost for words having a nerdgasm. Cherry model, jealous
That looks awesome.
That body shell shape is epic! Great shout with the window outlining.
Hi, awesome result 👍I would leave it like this 😇
The red/ orange body looks realy cool !!!!

i'm plannig to race it in next season in stock class
Good idea not 2 strip the body 👍 thanks Keith for sending Glen this awesome car😃

You should own all the TRFs they ever made.
That red paint job makes it looks like it could have come from Kevin Tolbert stock. Lol

Get the new shell with box art. Will change the car completely. Keith, you fkn rock bro!
Love your enthusiasm Glenn. It really makes your videos great. Greetings from Norway
Great Car Glenn, i had one myself, should not have sold it.... i had it painted white with a sort of blue window colour
Nice buggy Glenn, it came up really well 👍
I am just pleased you didn't cut your finger off Glenn lol it could be easily done when really excited and you're itching to get the box open especially when you know there's something special in it! Glenn such fruity language too buddy! Haha!

Absolutely gorgeous, but do it anyway. The original body can be used for running videos 😜

Danna, danna, danna, nanna, Bateman!
Ahahahaha, I hope I find You Happy Noel.
Don't start Me on Christmas Mate, LoL!
Stay Psyched My Friend.
Keith is a great guy.
The car looks great! That's got to be the maddest body that Tamiya does! Big respect to Keith by the way!
What a beautiful car my friend!
Great job Glenn!

To get the sticky off from the heat protection sticker just use isopropyl alcohol Glenn, shouldn’t bother the paint.
Beautiful Car, Excellent vid. Would look great with the white wheels.

Are t they just awesome 🤩
Oh and parcel will be coming!
Looks like MCI is selling repro tires for the Marui Ninja now 😀👍.
Man I’d love a TRF
BTW, we should lobby penguin rc to make the undertrays. I'm gonna try and get my 501 shells painted by TD in Japan 🤞
You want the 511.
Let me know if you need the front bumper mate
Run it in the ground 😂.
Does look really cool in red 👍 did you ever get the 801 out for a run?
Unfortunately not, I can’t really justify the cost of the electrics to get it running 🙈
@@TAMIYALegendsyep feel what you are saying Glenn does get expensive
I grabbed the last three from Tony 😋
Needs a good clean.
Is that your old studio glenn
No buddy it’s my hobby room 😅
