I wasn't sure that you were still out there. Hope you all are doing well. Glad you were able to fix the problem quickly. Take care.

Thanks for this video. Had exactly the same issue on my 991.2 , and this helped me a lot as I really thought this was not doable when I saw how short the cable is. It did not take me 5 mn but one hour, though, but saved me dismounting the whole door panel as recommended in other vids. Also, could not find how to take out the plastic bracket that holds the switch. Would not recommend to try as this might damage the leather around it.

Nice work. I’d have probably taken the whole door apart 🤦‍♂️. I would recommend some painters tape around the surface to keep from marring it.

Would this apply to the drivers side as well? Opinions of ebay switches? I can't believe Porsche charges $500 to replace a window switch

I can only assume that the drivers side door is the same. I have no experience with eBay switches. You're right, $500 for a few minutes and a cheap switch is foolish. However, the dealer probably removes the door panel which is why they have to charge so much labor.

Use interior pry tools. Harbor Freight has some for a few dollars. The switch drops in from the top. Gently push a wide pry tool under the edge of the switch and pry it up. Very little force is required to persuade it to come up.
