If you watch Cody's sit-down interview with Max Gerston, you will see first hand like I did what a stand up guy Cody is! Not only is he the very best rider in the US, but he's also a great dad, husband, and just an all around great human. Yamaha really did well on this signing, what a awesome pick up for Yamaha. I am super excited for Cody and his family because future looks super bright for him and he has earned it!!!
I wonder if it is yamalube. It smells terrible. . Maxima all day everyday. Yamalube would be my 2nd choice just cause it's very good quality. Otherwise it's castor 927 for the open stuff super m for tech. Lower Flashpoint burns off quicker in all that part throttle riding
YZ was looking awesome and sounding even better. They made an awesome business move by getting you on board👏. You have to admit though, pros like you could run a dumpster fire around that track and make it look awesome. It’s nice to have a good bike but better to have you ride any bike! You are a beast.
SICK!!! Mannn.. I've seen tons of 5MOH footage but, Cody.. watching your pov here is like finally seeing this trail for the 1st time.. thank you! Inspiring performance, brother.. CONGRATS!!!
I've ridden 5MOH 4 times. It's actually 7.9 miles and tons of fun, but brutal at the same time. The stairs/ledges section is insane, but Cody beyotch slapped 5MOH! Spider is my favorite and best trail in MOAB for leisure and scenery.
Excited to see you rip the YZ. I had a 2006 with some work done and it was a handful! Plenty of power to be had and the suspension should be easy to figure out. Nice ride!
We're in a really interesting paradigm. With the japanese manifactures, kicking up their offroad models. Kawasaki says they want to win enduro gp. Now yamaha with you and kaleb. Red moto with holcombe. Also fantic becoming available in canada as of February 2025. Really intersting with the decline of the orange mafia.
Awesome. Not surprised you rode it so good but surprised you didn't get lost, especially the first time you rode it. I have ridden it several times and get off trail and have to stop look around and back track each time. Also i was looking for where you rode the crux but didn't notice it, you must have just went over it so fast it looked like the rest of the trail. Maybe it was the part where you said "that section is big"
Great training! I'd have gotten lost...tracks everywhere...white paint lines don't necessarily correlate with what I'd consider intuitive track. Thanks for sharing! Great display of skill!
Usually ridden with at least a few guys that should never even be on a bike - add a few anchors to your riding group and then try and set a record. Nice ride...
Hey Cody, great video as usual! About the only thing that could have been better is if you had a remote mic on your helmet so that we can better hear what you are saying during your rides. I'm super stoked to hear what you have to say especially about any improvements on your new ride. Thank you for including us all in your new venture! 😃👍
You planning on just doing the US series? Or going to make a few FIM events? Either way super sick to see you with Yamaha. I see a lot more to come in the future for 2t line with you behind the helm! Might just change from orange to blue… Congrats!
I can't wait to see you dial the suspension and hitlis installed, maybe more good stuff...I know you need to be sponcered but please Smart Carb pay this man and get this yz barking.Question ;does any one use heated grips in the winter races?
Super fun watch! Yamaha already made their money back. Niiiice. After the 17 min mark you sound drunk ha ha ha. Awesome riding. "Oh, look, some plastic" I even ducked a few trees with you :>). Now I need to go look up what Ryan Wells and Russell Bobbitt did it in.
As far as fun goes.. it's extremely hard to beat a yz 250. Cr 500 are fun but short shifting cause they have no over Rev. Plus, numb hands get old. Visceral fun the 500. All around, good time, yz 250 all day every day. If you're gonna seriously race mx, then modern 4t.
Super impressive dude. New to you bike and possibly the first 5MH video I have seen where the rider didn't get lost, even if for just a min or two. Your finesse with all that power to keep the rear tire hooked and not spinning is fun to watch.🔥🔥 And just to point out for the haters, how many times did he kick start it? How many times did he stall it? How many times did he get stuck on a hill he couldn't kick it on?😂
@codywebb2 A squish gap correction makes a huge difference in low end torque on the 250x. It also helps stabilize jetting at elevation and temp changes. Apex is the go to, or have the stock one cut at Coops offroad performance in Malpeton UT.
