I still have my White/Pink/Black F50 Adizeros from 2010 and have worn them (and other boots) for Rugby, Soccer and Football. The durability has been unbeatable in my experience. Brought them out again last week for some soggy football field training. My first gen Hypervenoms got destroyed but the F50s stay strong. Love them still. Love your content.
I say the F50 elite is combining each of the elements from the 2010 and 2014 F50 adizero along with X speedflow.1 and Crazyfast+. It wasn’t like the predator 18 and 19,which was more of an Ace. Let’s not forget since the X18 to the Crazyfast, all of these boots more or less carried DNAs of the f50 adizeros rather than going with the unique design that the first 3 X models were.
these are so sick!! I have a personal problem with the fitment with adidas boots and shoes in general, but otherwise I woukd grab one of these for sure
I was able to grab these in the laceless version but I wanted the laced version. Unfortunately, I was too late to check my adidas app and missed out on these but overall the laceless version is not bad either.
Gosh if they could make these in calf leather w the same stitching design as the 2010 leather adizero it would be an instant buy! They’d probably sell out if they remade w leather variant 2010 design.
They run half a size bigger. I bought crazyfast+’s at a us 10.5 and they fit me perfectly. These f50s got a pair in the same size, feel like I’m wearing a clown shoe, feel long, feel like they are running a half a size bigger.
A shame they’re no longer making the “X”. A couple years ago I said I’d never wear another adidas boot but the revalation of how light the crazyfast X was, made me order one and its coming on the 31st. I was a HUGE fan of the F50 and the last time I bought one was back in 2015, the messi one with green blue pink and orange was one was one of the BEST boots I’ve EVER worn. I HOPE they make a new version of the F50 and make them as light, if not lighter than the crazyfast X. If they do, I’ll def buy a new pair right away. Also the soleplate isn’t really for me. I think the omnidirectional studs are cool but the frame of the old F50’s made me feel like they were made more for ATTACK and I preferred them more as I’m a striker. Time will tell though, they can inprove on them a lot. Lets see how Nike responds with their Vapor 16’s/Superfly 10’s🤔
Vapors have been a good shoe and remain the same. Just a facelift. They will have gripknit apparently. So it’ll still be the same boot and with grip now. Not a bad thing
It's a name change. The Mercurials have changed more (multiple times) under the same name than the X to F50 with a name change. In fact the later Xs are probably more like this than they are to the original Xs. People reading into these name changes are basically falling into the Adidas marketing trap.
How do they fit (sizing wise) in comparison to the Adidas CrazyFast? I normally wear size US 10 boots but found that CrazyFast size 9.5 actually fit me perfectly, since they run a bit big. Would you say the Fast Reborn and the new F50 Elite cleats are similar to this fit? Thanks!!!
I doubt it. When they ditched all the lines, F50 and Predator were the big names. Nitro charge never really took off, i don't remember if there was another model even.
Please do a side-by-side comparison with the originals Adizeros. I have not found a replacement that I like since my 2010 yellow F50 AdiZeros. The X Speedportal and the Crazyfast + did not feel the same on feet
Honest question ... Do you find that it would be easy to cut off some of the excess tongue material to customize it into something closer to a classic U-throat construction? I've seen that it has a "tunnel" type tongue. I would have preferred the classic construction. Let me know what you think. 👍
You definitely could cut away the inside bits of the tunnel. Not sure how much that would impact the structure of the upper when it comes to lateral movements, but you could do it. The other concern would be the material they used. The actual “tongue” part has little to no structural integrity, so if you separated from the tunnel, I would expect it to bunch up on itself and move quite a bit while playing in the boots. Once you see them in hand, you’ll understand what I mean
@@Soccerreviewsforyou Thanks for the response. I had cut off the internal material on a Tiempo 9 for the same reason. I prefer the classic design. I have been buying F50s on Ebay and other sites for the last 10 years. I hope to give these a try. Best of luck to you. 👍
CrazyFast+ is a little lighter, definitely thinner, not quite as responsive in the upper, but definitely more responsive through the soleplate and has slightly more aggressive traction. Outside of fit and feel, those are the big differences. If those elements equate to better performance for you and your preferences, then yes.
the knitted upper has more grip to the ball and doesn't need a break in time while the synthetic doesn't have much grip and need a little time to break in
Mizuno Morelia Neo 4 Beta Elite would be a great option at the lower end of top level boot pricing. In terms of best value for money though, the New Balance 442 v2 Pro 👍
Played soccer my whole life and had several boots over the years. I was happy to grab a pair of the new F50s (laceless) and was excited to try them. I live in south Florida and primarily play on turf. After 5 minutes of usage I noticed how much heat gets trapped in the F50 and after 15 minutes of light training I had to remove them because they were burning my feet (from the turf/FL heat). I never would have thought for that to happen from the shoe but it seems as if the shoe was never tested in a hot South Florida environment. I’m almost positive that I would gotten blisters from the heat if I did not take them off. Never had an issue like this before. Have you heard of any similar stories?
The surface temperature on an outdoor ag pitch with the sun beating down on it can be crazy! I’ve always found that synthetic boots tend to trap more heat in than leather ones. Same goes for dark colors versus lighter ones. There’s also the FG soleplate factor in that the boots you were wearing were never intended to be used on an AG surface, regardless of temperature. What you’ve described would also be the absolute worst scenario to wear in a new pair of football boots. I’d definitely give them another chance. I can’t say I found either of the new F50s particularly warm in terms of trapping in heat, or at least any different than the vast majority of boots out there. Sounds like it may have been a one off situation
This definitely was an issue for me with the first f50 adizeros that had the micoach tracker feature. I had fully synthetic adizero and it was mucho worse with the fully synthetic. I ended up getting the leather adizero version and those were much better for the heat.
I think suggesting that one is better than the other would be unfair. They’re both great, but also different in how they fit and feel. The Speedflow definitely takes a more tech forward approach, but I really do prefer the fit and feel of the F50 Elite
In all honesty, I decided to pass on these, not a fan of the colorway but I would definitely buy a pair in a different color. My condolences to those buying these overpriced from a reseller.
